I like everyone is hoping to see some significant improvement this week. Former DUCK Dante Dowdell has sure looked good in the Nebraska backfield. I want to see our running backs and hope they do well. GO DUCKS!

The OL needs to show that they’re focused and mistake free.

Dowdell wanted to play right away, and knew that with Jordan James and Noah Whittington...it would be tough.

 

Something like 88 degrees out in Autzen even now?

 

Looks like we wont be able to see the game until late in the 2nd.

"Coverage will begin shortly" I wonder what this means? Surely NBC is able to broadcast two games at once I hope.

Oh boy... here we go again. Is horrible offensive line play going to lose us this game?

First play was meh... Second play was horrendous. 

 

3rd play... Also pretty bad. 

OMIGOSH!  Bedford did not start at right guard, as Poncho did with Pickard back at center.  (Yikes!)

 

However the starting right guard of Boise State went down, so they do not have their starting center AND their starting right guard.

 

We have one less casualty...

 

We're doomed. 

James has had a couple of decent runs. 

 

But still a far cry from where this team should be. 

 

Frustrating that Stewart didn't pick up the first down. 

Defense still doing its job. But the offense will sabotage it if the OL doesn’t get better in a hurry.

Defense is perfect..

That drive it did not look like Pickard was in the lineup.

I want to see DG pull the ball more. It’ll force the defense to be more honest.

I remember when we used to play at this level....with mostly unheralded in-state recruits. Yes I'm old....

Someone is overrated Im sad to say.

That wasn’t a smart play by Harmon.

So... now what's the deal with the defense on this drive? Ugh.

Is anyone else having trouble understanding the play by play guy?

BSU made some adjustments. Tosh will make some too

I don’t know which TE was working the right side but he just let that defender right through for that 2nd sack.

The O line is bad.

Horrible, absolutely horrible.  Embarrassing O-line performance, what has happened to them!?  Terry should be fired if this continues, completely unprepared for the season.

I know things won't always go the Ducks way but the o line is bad... that is all

Sorry... meant 11 to go in the second. Regardless, it's beyond horrendous. Really stunning. 

They have to get points on this series. Something to establish an offense.

When there's protection this offense is deadly.

Ok, It's clear that our o line is the only real issue. 

Ok, Stewart's coming out party. Finally a ray of sunshine.

The OL gave DG adequate protection for just the 2nd time and he shot pinpoint accurate bombs to Evan Stewart both times.

Glad to see Stewart getting the ball down the field after DG didn't see him open a few times last week.  Over 100 yards and a TD in the first half!

Maybe I'm a stressed out pessimist on a roller coaster ride. If the O line can provide that sort of protection regularly then we can be on a higher level of play. 

2 TDs & no 3rd down conversions. You don't see that happen very often. 

 

It would be nice to see an actual sustained drive.

They just shined a bright light on the OL by pointing out that when DG has time he carves up the defense.

It is kind of hard for a QB to sometimes see open receivers when he is running for his life.
