Charles Fischer Administrator No. 1 Share Posted September 22 My Duck-Buddies, I cannot stand even hearing the words, "Pac-12" anymore, because the Pig-2 and the other Mountain West teams are an abomination to the name. When I think of all the national championships won in the conference in all sports--and the current six in the new Pac earned how many? Damn few. It is revolting that the name is used with the current group...which is why they kept it and are spending untold millions to buy teams into it, instead of reverse merging with the Mountain West. They are coasting on the name, as they did for decades, while being overpaid for what they brought to the conference. I am drawing a blank, but we need to come up with an alternate name for the new Pac-12, and I appeal to this amazing community to come up with one we can refer to, and perhaps might catch on elsewhere. I’d lean towards scrap-12 myself, adds a bit more oomph than just saying they suck. Be nice to find three letters that work, that’s what made the PIG2 so brilliant I'm sure Seattle U and Grand Canyon are doing great things in the historic WAC! I'm tired of their crap and don't want or need to waste anymore energy on them. Their schools, administrations, and fans are ridiculous. First, complaining that OBD and Fuskies "left" them behind in a deal to move forward. Second, scheming and "winning" in court (in the dust bowl of WA) the money that nearly every school earned. Finally, saying that the garbage they pulled on the MWC is completely above board when compared to what transpired in the B1G. Again, they're theives and with the way they have managed their schools,while in the PAC, they'll have to drop much of their athletic departments. That will be when they gather in the "town square" with their pitchforks to storm toward the catsles of the evil empire of Eugene and Seattle. I will admit that I am getting to that point as well, and that is saying something! They are a G-5 team, and there is no amount of lipstick that will change that. We know it, and everyone knows it; let them pretend--who cares? But we should not lose money any further playing them in Corvallis, let alone Eugene. For those of you that still have kids at home, you'll recognize the dual meaning of the name. Folks, I give you the SUS-12 Hear me out. There are too meanings here. One is that all of these schools seem to be State Universities, so State University Schools - 12. Now, the dual meaning is that "Sus" is shorthand for suspicious and these schools are suspiciously masquerading as relevant. So, there ya go.
