Talked about it when he was here. He does a great job in the off season that generates hope for the program. In so many ways he's a fantastic off season coach. Just don't let him coach any games.

Honestly, when I'm reading their fan forums, I think they want Mario to take his head with him. They don't know want any part of his coaching decisions to stay around. 😂😂😂

He had a 1st and 10 at his own 48 with 2:29 left. He could have gotten to 4th down at the two-minute-timeout (TMT) and punted afterward. Instead SMU got possession before the TMT and ran a play for 8 yards. It was just bad clock management. Hell, SMU got a sack and a holding penalty on the game tying drive. They tried to give the game to Miami.

It doesn’t get any easier for them. They’re fresh out of bye weeks and their final two games are in the cold weather. Blacksburg and Pittsburgh will not be hospitable in late November.

To make it sting even more, Duke is ahead of Miami in the ACC standings. Duke's coach just happens to be....ahem.....Manny Diaz. The former Miami coach that MC replaced.

IF Miami had run the ball, they would have taken time off the clock.

Miami punts on fourth down.

Following punt, SMU has 2:09 left, 90 yds from scoring.

0:28 left, SMU kicks FG to tie from Miami 21 yd line of scrimmage.

IF Miami had run the ball, SMU would still have used a couple time outs, BUT more time would have elapsed before the SMU timeouts. Maybe SMU has a longer FG attempt after getting possession back?

All teams are buying a quarterback evey year.

Only difference is if it's someone already in your roster or someone from the portal.

What you don't realize is that he will soon prove his O line to be really tough and physical and the cream of the college football world...in the 1980s style of play.
