Pat Kraft had a meeting with some of the PSU players to discuss a myriad of things to include their coaching search, NIL, recruiting, etc. One thing that kept coming up was Oregon.

He took a jab at Dante Moore and said he was (expletive) shaking in overtime. When discussing teams who consistently compete for national championships he mentioned “Ohio State, Michigan, Alabama, Georgia and even Oregon, although I think they’re a bunch of frauds”.

When discussing PSU’s remote location compared to other big name schools he said “Have you ever been to Oregon (Eugene)? Ain’t (expletive) going on. It’s but a bunch of (expletive) weirdos”.

The subject of NIL and Nike/Phil Knight came up and he said “That’s why they’re frauds and will never win anything”. He basically thinks we buy rosters like A&M did a few years back, but then bragged about how much this season’s PSU roster cost.

I’m sure Dan Lanning would love to use this information when he plays them next time, but I’m sure Pat Kraft will be jobless by then.

Maybe he should look in the mirror. I can’t recall a coaching search going worse than the Penn State debacle.

They fired their long time, highly successful coach early in the season and had no plan in place. Their search process has gone on way too long. None of their top candidates wanted the job. Now their new coach will face a whole missed high school

recruiting class and have to focus on the portal to plug major holes in the roster for years to come.

Maybe Penn State is not as attractive as you, your fans and boosters think it is…

Sour grapes for sure. Before Oregon joined the Big Ten, Penn State was considered one of the top 3 programs in the conference.

Oregon came in, beat them in the Big Ten Championship in our first year. Last year was "supposed" to be the year that Penn State finally ascended. Oregon crushed that.

This year, Penn State was picked by some to be in the national title game. Players came back for another year to take care of "unfinished business ". Oregon went into their house and broke them.

Oregon in one year showed Penn State how it's done.

This man is laying all of the lost dreams of the last two years at the feet of Oregon. And guess what, we embrace that! Glad we could help!

If he’s cranky at 0-2, he should ask the fuskies what 0-12 feels like or he can just wait and find out for himself.

Not a good look for a guy trying to hire a high quality coach, but pink slips seem to be a fashionable choice this season...

If Kraft is presenting PSU to prospective coach prospects and their agents the way he talks to their athletes, it makes sense why nobody is listening.

"We Are!" no longer classy. It's been a whole generation of low integrity at that school. I don't respect them anymore, and they deserve every failure they seize.

A program that almost got the death penalty, completely face planted in a year they were favored to make the final 4, and now has one of the most botched coaching searches in recent memory….should probably not be “doubling down” on their greatness at the expense of others.

Well, at much as us "fur balls" are laughing it up, Penn State's downfall isn't great for the B1G. I will harp this until my dead hands grow cold: Iowa, Wisconsin, Penn State, Nebraska, the Fuskies, USC, and even Michigan State BETTER muscle up, because the B1G is falling behind when it comes to drawing eyeballs. That means mega dollars folks. I do not want anything near the disaster that became the WAC12.

Ohio State was the only Big Ten program to draw 10M fans outside The Big Game. One week-that's all the B1G generated. That is not acceptable in my book. The B1G has an alum base that more than rivals the SEC, but it is getting its a$$ kicked when it comes to being compelling football the nation wants to watch. And I really don't care if football matters more in the South. Unless College Football gets a commissioner, Tony Pettiti is responsible for at least five teams averaging at least 8M fans watching them EVERY WEEK. We are in an arms race to field the best teams in the business. Humongous television fan bases are the best means to earn astronomic TV contracts.

So I prefer risking two losses in a world class conference of national title contenders than to laugh at a conference foe's demise. No matter how much class they lack. We need a slew of programs capable of kicking our a$$ if we falter. At least capable of it. We are no longer in an era where three conference powerhouses are enough to support a conference. So if I were you folks, I'd start demanding teams we hate, and those we poke fun at get their A$$ES in gear and develop title contenders. Our very survival may be at stake.

I really like the hire of Buster Faulkner as offensive coordinator, and the defensive coordinator from Kentucky(name slips my mind). Faulkner is probably going to be a head coach in the next couple years, but the fact Sumrall said he was going to get a big time guy, and not one of his buddies from Tulane, and he did it. Well that already makes him better than Billy Napier.

Napier was given the money to build a staff, but he decided to just hire his Sun Belt buddies, and you saw the results. Time mismanagement, penalties, player regression, and an offense so full that you would prefer to hear Bill Belichick narrate a documentary on paint drying.

I never wanted Kiffin, there was a leaked story that Scott Stricklin didn't either. It's why he wasn't hired in 2017, 2022, or this year. Kiffin wanted full control, and his GM from Ole Miss. Stricklin matched the money from LSU, he even matched the increased player payroll. But he made it clear that Kiffin would still answer to him. He also wanted to hire an experienced NFL GM.

Kiffin obviously took this as an insult, Stricklin agreed. This way Stricklin could say he made an actual effort, but Lane just turned him down. Which is what he wanted. Stricklin is a buttoned down individual, he hates silly antics online. It's why he hired paint chip Billy Napier in the first place.

I wanted Fisch, but we didn't get him. I hope Sumrall proves all the doubters wrong, he is a fiery dude. One that secured two recruiting classes for Tulane, and Florida. All the while, he was getting his team ready to play for a CCG, and playoff berth.

I look at what he's doing as a great sign of his character, and ability to delegate. I get alpha vibes from the man, he makes you want to hear what he is planning on doing, and you believe he's going to succeed. Very much like your head coach, Dan Lanning.

I was disappointed initially, but am now cautiously optimistic. He's going to be compared to what Lane is doing at LSU. Fair or not.
