Defense saving the day

I thought we reserved that kind of talk for when MariØ was coaching.

Nix is carrying this team right now and willing this team forward.

Sometimes that is exactly what a quarterback needs to do..

Three top 10 teams got tested today in the first half, Ohio State, TCU, and now Oregon.  All of them were road games.

We are now on the middle 8 minutes.

Oregon has been the best team in the country at owning those middle minutes of the game. Let's hope they continue to do so today.

That series  starting to look more like the ucla game and less like georgia

Would be nice to get a turnover and score before the half. Ducks get the ball to start the second half and get another score!

Hopefully this TD means the players have been shaken out of this malaise they've been stuck in.

Great response after the turn over, good defensive possession, then move with confidence on offense for the TD.

Yep. That's what Mariota used to do for us... Hope the rest of the offense get inspired.

Nice throw by Plummer.  Perfect pass to Bridges.

Excellent effort by Bucky to reach back for that TD.

That's more like it

It's kind of funny... Irving has more touchdowns as a reciever than a runningback.

That is a far cry from the first two games when we were all agonizing over him dropping passes..

Great execution on that drive

Is Lanning taking another time out to try and get another shot to score before the end of the half???

Dorlus has been tough the last few series!

That last doesn't hurt anything but it's a negative stat for Bo's Heisman campaign at this point... But whatever... A solid win will do him more help than one extra interception on his stat sheet at this point.

Great to see the hail mary  instead of sitting on the lead. We sure would not have seen that play last year

In hindsight, I wish the Ducks weren't so aggressive just before the half.  Hope, Franklin's injury is minor.

Is Thorton still playing?  I saw him on the sideline in the UCLA game, high-fiving Franklin but hasn't played an active role in this offense.

Oof, looks like Franklin strained/tore a hammy. Hope it's not bad

Well that's crummy way to see Franklin leave the game!

Incredible concentration maintaining the ball security in the midst of that painful shock!

Too bad, because he may have scored...

Are both Cota and Franklin done for the day?  Other receivers got to step up.

Troy Franklin, Take #1 - Tape up that hammy and let him play.

Take #2 - Hold him out in the 2nd half and next week against Colorado so he heals up.

Hutson juggled that catch too.

Take 2 please. Let him come back healthy later when we really need him.

Does a hammy heal in 2 weeks? I thought it was longer.

Franklin played the opening series of 2nd half.

Depends on how bad it is. If it is just a strain, yes. If it is torn, nope.

Too many guys on that replay were more focused on ripping the ball out than tackling the RB.

Great block, now put this one away!

More excellent special teams play

DENIED! Great block by Gonzalez.

Nice to see special teams play two weeks in a row.

Kind of a weak call on that 4th down...momentum killer.

Weird game. Lets get it out of our system here.

Yeah, sometimes these games happen. But, not like under...um...what was his name, again?

That 4th&1 shouldn't have been done from shotgun, imo.

We are quite good... against Pac-12 competition.

Just lost number 8 I imagine ugh!

Bye, Jeff.
