  1. Past hour
  2. If they keep bowl games, this is the model.
  3. I guess we’ll more or less find out what was happening this year based upon the level of who is interested in him. I’m not personally invested in someone with 99 yards of passing in 3 years with us, but certainly wish him luck.
  4. That could be the case. However, it could also be that Brock makes better decisions in practice. Sometimes QB’s with the stronger arms and the most athleticism give up more turnovers by trying to force things. My theory is that Austin knows that Dante is coming back for another season. It’s not unheard of. This is a guy who chose to transfer and then sit behind a veteran for a season to become a better QB.
  5. See, I never bought in to him falling to 4th string. I just thought he was transferring and any backup reps needed to go to Brock since he was staying and needed
  6. I also love how the poptart mascots are basically eaten by players or other mascots. Or at least they did last year. It's a really wacky bowl game. Last year Miami and MC in that game was hilarious because he didn't want to lean into the wackiness of the bowl game.
  7. That was bad football. Both teams made stupid mistakes over and over. The final possession by GT was the textbook definition of point shaving. It goes to show that anything other than making the final 12 is just an exhibition.
  8. Same thing Im thinking
  9. Aaaaand a photo finish coming down to the last 10 seconds for BYU to seal the victory with GT in scoring range.
  10. Today
  11. BYU barely beats GT in their bowl game. TTU beating them twice was a feather in their cap. TTU is very similar in style to Iowa in the sense that they have a strong defense and special teams, and are 1st in turnover margin and takeaways that give the offense a short field. TTU is better than Iowa, but we have seen this type of team before playing against the bad weather and the refs and won by avoiding turnovers and 3rd and longs (outside the penalties). I think this similarly could be a low scoring game in the high teens low 20s. The line is starting to shift in Oregon's favor a bit too, up to 2.5 now. I think it will continue to drift higher as the game gets closer.
  12. Yesterday
  13. It appears UK starts 1/12.
  14. I'm guessing the reason for announcing before playoffs completed is so he has time to register at new school for start of winter term. UO starts 1/5. Novosad needs to be offered by someone, accept, get registered, and move. Makes sense to announce now
  15. Remember when the PAC, R.I.P., went 5-0 in bowls and then SUC/UCLA and others decided to play like crap every bowl season? Will SUC be the first blemish in the B1G bowl season?? At least the Lame Os won't lose a bowl game this year...
  16. I will be shocked if he goes to Kentucky or Cal. My guess is Power 5 for FCS. Writing was on the wall when he couldn't beat out Thomas as backup.
  17. I love how they really lean into the Pop Tarts band with no apology. They have colored sprinkles on the white boundary like it's a frosted pop tart. They get some of the best matchups too, and the games are always entertaining. This year it's BYU and Georgia Tech. I just saw a defender punch out a ball with his heel while he was face planting. There have been 3 turnovers in the red zone. It's fun entertainment that I think epitomizes what makes bowl games special. I know they are becoming the NIT tournament of football, but that doesn't mean it has to be boring if the teams are competitive and the pomp is fun.
  18. If he's following Stein, why announce anything? Why not just playout the season maybe get in a playoff game, then follow him out the door? I don't understand these early announcements.
  19. Whit at Utah scared me. Whit at Michigan terrifies me. He really is the perfect coach for the job. Kudos to the Blue.
  20. Clemson fans are less than pleased.
  21. Yep. I don’t blame Allen and Singleton one bit for opting out of this game. Playing football on baseball fields is a recipe for injuries due to the quality of the playing surface. I’m surprised the Ducks and the Tarheels made it out of the 2022 Holiday Bowl without a couple of significant injuries.
  22. Wait, that wasn't the Natty? Humm, I guess maybe the preseason poll got this one wrong for a change!
  23. I think it’s a big hint at next year!
  24. Perhaps Dante told him a secret?
  25. I hope he follows WS to Kentucky. (I'm sure they've talked) His transition will be a lot smoother and he would probably play right away.
  26. B1G is 5-0 for the postseason. This was the first game against and a win over a P4 opponent. Today's weather in Clemson, SC - 75%, sunny, modest humidity. For going 7-5, Clemson was rewarded with a trip to NYC, where the temperature felt like 18 degrees at kickoff. Matt Campbell couldn't make the game; his flight was cancelled. 😍 Next B1G Games - 12/30/26 Illinois +5.5 vs Tennessee (in Nashville 😧) 2:30 ESPN No. 16 USC -6.5 vs TCU (in San Antonio 😧) 6 PM ESPN - Nature abhors a vacuum, and there will be no TCU QB Hoover to help vacuum up SC. This is the last season the B1G, Pac-12 Legacy 4 are tied into the old Pac-12 bowl games. 😉 No. 16 USC should be playing No. 13 Texas or No. 14 Vanderbilt. On 12/31, 12:30 ESPN, Coach Whit will not be on the sideline when Nebraska plays No. 15 Utah in Las Vegas. Matt is hoping the 'What Happens in Vegas Stays in Vegas' Ruhle will still apply. 🤪
  27. Both times we wore grey pants in the postseason, we lost I just wish we wore our traditional colors.
  28. I think we were all half expecting this. https://247sports.com/college/oregon/article/oregon-qb-austin-novosad-will-leave-the-ducks-to-pursue-a-transfer-265874657/
