Next Recruit Announcement is Sunday at 1:00 PM, 4-Star LB Noah Mikhail
I'm pretty sure the age cut-off for calling something "dope" is approx. 25. Otherwise, eye-rolling by the youth can ensue.

Nearly impossible to tell from the jump cuts and special effects, but I think I like 'em. Sort of a reveal that doesn't really reveal much.

I think so, but can I let you know for sure in December?

Oregon Ducks Football: Undefeated Season Incoming?
Every team is undefeated so far; getting an over-confident fan base is easy. As a card-carrying old person, I've had my heart broken too many times to even speculate about things like an undefeated season. I'd rather keep my expectations low and be happily surprised, than be whapped upside the head with a disappointing loss.

Will The SEC and The Big Ten Ruin College Football?
Currently, there's a enormous money bubble that's inflating, among other things, big-time college football. When that bubble bursts, which is surely will, things will look much different. Different how I'm not smart enough to know, but what we have now is not sustainable.

College Football Playoffs - B1G and SEC Demands

Is College Football's Great Coaching Exodus Finally Here?
It seems like a lot of older coaches are leaving as the relentless, year-round grinding of the job only gets more intense and burns them out. Recruiting is a constant, and now NIL and the portal make it so coaches never really have time off. Is the really a quiet period any more? It may be that college coaching is getting to be a younger man's game, as the constant pressure takes a toll. Sure, they get paid a lot, but that's not all there is to a job. I suspect that right now is the time of maximum flux and uncertainty, and that somehow rules will be imposed on the portal and NIL that will make a coaches life a little easier, but it's a meat grinder of a job, being a big-time college football coach.

Sweet Rumor: The Oregon Brand is at WORK!
If you want the Oregon brand to continue to work, you let the Nike designers have their way. They're the ones who developed the uniform thing, and they're the ones who are in touch with design trends. Sure, there were some uglies along the way, but Oregon uniforms have consistently been, by far, the best in the nation for years and years. This is what Nike does; let them keep doing it, and if throwbacks are the thing, go with it. Throwbacks don't do much for me, and I'm an old fart. I'd rather the uniforms appeal to the kids who want to play for Oregon, now and in the future, kids who were a long way from being born when the old uniforms were in use.

Dan Lanning: Man of Oregon
For me, the best part of that video was Lanning saying (and I'm paraphrasing here) "college football is changing quickly, and we're ahead of the curve here". That...a thousand times that. Change, with respect for the past, is at the core of what Lanning brings to Oregon. Lanning is young enough to not be entrenched in the old way of coaching, recruiting, hiring, relating to players and families. He's media-savvy, extremely on-line, and good on tv. He is also honest, and modest. Maybe he kicks his dog, but I doubt it.
