  1. 2 changes Dan Lanning would like to see made to the College Football Playoff WWW.OREGONLIVE.COM Oregon's coach would like to see two changes to the College Football Playoff, but the format and how teams are seeded is not...
  2. Tulane QB Ty Thompson enters NCAA Transfer Portal WWW.ON3.COM .
  3. I know I suffer from PTDS, Post-Traumatic Ducks Syndrome. The close-but seasons took a toll on me and have left me always a bit skeptical of climbing all the way to the top, this season included. It's gonna be tough.
  4. I think you have it exactly right; college football coaching is getting to be a young man's game. The amount of energy it takes, the need to relate to 17-year-olds, all the other business with staff, boosters...it doesn't seem a good fit for what is objectively a grumpy old man. Plus, the game on the field itself has changed in the past decades. Even his son looks old and grumpy, to boot.
  5. Oregon’s Evan Stewart details ‘biggest factor’ into whether he’ll return for senior season or enter NFL draft WWW.OREGONLIVE.COM The receiver is one of the four most prominent draft-eligible UO players with decisions to make about...
  6. Looks like the truth is the Ducks scared the vomit out of the Nittany Lions. Saw this when it happened live, but forgot about it.
  7. Best in the nation at the game's most critical position, on the country's best team should be enough to win it, right? One would think.
  8. Whether he believes it nor not, it's a great thing to say when you're leading a team. It means there's no opening for anyone in the program to feel sorry for themselves, or think about "what-ifs", or be apprehensive. When the boss says this, you gotta believe it. Just win the next game. That said, everyone knows Ducks got screwed.
  9. Seriously, the biggest threat is the next opponent, whoever it may be. They're all good, anything can happen, no one can be overlooked.
  10. Sorry, all…did not realize that. And, thanks to Utki for the copy and paste.
  11. "Where some teams didn’t beat too much of anybody, Oregon beat three teams from the top 10 and four from the top 25 with its oft-dazzling offense and highly ranked defense." https://www.washingtonpost.com/sports/2024/12/08/oregon-penn-state-big-ten-championship/
  12. Has anyone checked on Paul FInebaum to make sure he's okay?
  13. And, last night, for the first time, his biological family saw him play a college game. "I told them, 'This is the first game y'all coming to, I'll give y'all a show, I promise you that,'" Johnson said. "I don't know if words can explain it. My mom, just seeing the tears in her eyes, being able to watch me play on a stage like this. My family had never seen it before. ... It's something you dream about."
  14. It’s not embarrassing, PSU is the 3rd ranked team in the country. They’re good.
  15. Ducks have just two penalties so far, right?
  16. And, PSU’s play-calling is very good.
  17. Notice the PSU linebacker hurling just before the snap?
  18. Of course, the focus is on money and on Uncle Phil, but it's not an unreasonable analysis. Some of the comments, OTOH, are hilarious. Oregon football’s well-oiled NIL machine is backed by Nike’s Phil Knight - The Washington Post
  19. It's Penn St. Four-star tight end Andrew Olesh flips commitment to Penn State over Michigan, Oregon WWW.OREGONLIVE.COM The Ducks came up short on what would have been their second tight end this class.
  20. Thanks, Charles, for once again showing me what I would otherwise not see.
  21. I thought that smashing a Washington helmet with sledgehammer was a bit off-putting; after all there is usually a head inside one of those helmets. But, at least Lanning didn't use a flame-thrower.
