Dillon Gabriel Should Win the Heisman
MicroBurst61 replied to OregonDucks's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
WHEN Oregon Wins the National Title Playoffs, this Man will be pivotal in that success. Outside of his on field control and mastery of the QB position, This shows even more reasons why Gabriel Deserves the Heisman. Please let me be pleasantly surprised https://athlonsports.com/college/oregon-ducks/one-social-media-post-tells-you-everything-you-need-to-know-about-dillon-gabriel -
If Evan (and his agent) are truly testing the NFL market for his talents, that can Only be a Good thing for OBD over the next three games. Evan will be 'ballin his butt off" to help elevate and cement his value for the draft, if these are indeed his last three games as a Duck. Loved his response and want to see him live up to it. Evan helps us win the Natty I will personally drive him to the ESPN draft day extravaganza while wearing my Duck gear, head to toe! Let's GO Ducks!

Boettcher Wins the Burlsworth Trophy
MicroBurst61 replied to DrJacksPlaidPants's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Absolutely LOVED this Man and the intensity he brings to the field. So happy for him that he has a football championship and with a whole lot more to go. Wish all of our walkons had his heart and intensity. Congrats Dude. You earned it! -
Dillon Gabriel Should Win the Heisman
MicroBurst61 replied to OregonDucks's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Gabriel Absolutely Earned his way to NY. I do believe Bo's "body of work" was more impressive, but Bo had two years here, compared to Gabe's single season. I would love to be pleasantly surprised to see Gabe walk off with the hardware but the simple matter of fact is that the Oregon Ducks Football team is exactly that, TEAM. We do not need to depend on one or two players to "carry" our team to the successes OBD has achieved. I congratulate Gabe on being the Team leader he is and want to see him close out his career with a Natty. I think Gabe would prefer that "group" success over an individual award with no championship in the end. Just glad to see OBD players getting the proper recognition they deserve. Gabriel and his fellow Duck brethren Rock! Go Ducks! -
Oregon Won the Big Ten; Now It’s Time to Win the SEC
MicroBurst61 replied to FishDuck Article's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Ok. Let me see if I have this correct. Oregon, on its way to the B1G title, beat the two National Championship teams from 2023, beat the "traditional" top three teams in the B1G (Michigan / Ohio St / Penn St., plus an always annoying Wisconsin team), and now are slated to the possibilty of beating the three top teams in the SEC (Tennessee / Texas / Georgia), if the bracket plays out as "expected". So, when this comes to pass, in the end we would have played, and beaten, 6 of the top 10 ranked teams and 7 of the top 25 ranked teams when we hoist that (1st) National Championship Trophy! No B1G or SEC champion has EVER had a gauntlet such as this on the way to their "championships"! Again, OBD will Have to be viewed as the Greatest, most tested, NFL-lite Champion of ALL times! And after twenty-five years of near misses to a "Natty", achieving one in such a way would be...historical! I am SO here for it all! GO DUCKS! -
Joel Klatt Calls Out Terrible CFP Bracket
MicroBurst61 replied to kirklandduck's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Ahhh Yesss. I believe those unavailable "strength of" metrics may be the the SOB (BlueBlood) and SOP (Profit). Which in the current committee based selection process likely supercedes SOS or SOR! Don't matter. Line em up and dem Ducks will knock em down! Go Quackers! -
Will Oregon Take Advantage of Their "Great Opportunity?
MicroBurst61 replied to 30Duck's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
The next three games for OBD are the "bowling pins". OBD is the "bowling ball"! Three strikes in the "tenth" (ok...14th, 15th, 16th) for the (National Championship) WIN! 's -
Just more "fodder" for us Ducks fans to use "against the winds", to justify and celebrate our soon to be national champions Ducks as the Greatest National Champs....ever! Go "Natty" Ducks!

Awesome, competitive game and I really thought that Shelstad "dagger three" with like less than 5-6 seconds on the clock was the game winner. Unfortunately UCLA had one in their back pockets to "knife through the heart us" in that little bit of time left. Still, a loss like this will probably serve the team, in a positive way, in the big picture. Can't win em all, but 9-1 a third of the way through the season, with three Quad 1 wins, is an enviable place to be in. Keep on grinding hardwood Ducks!

Oregon Football: The Ducks’ Biggest Threat Remaining
MicroBurst61 replied to FishDuck Article's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Biggest "threat" was/is the selection committee. That being said a first round matchup for OBD between the third place team from either the SEC and B1G in the Rose Bowl will be must watch TV. How it is fair that Georgia gets the fourth best team in the B1G or an independent ND. Boise St gets second placed team from either the B1G or ACC, and ASU gets the second place SEC team (Texas) or the 3-loss surprise ACC winner (Clemson); will probably have to be addressed before next seasons playoffs, but I won't hold my breath. As I have stated before, Because of this "inequity" in the seeding of the playoffs, When OBD win the national championship in January it will HAVE to be viewed as the Greatest championship run in modern NFL-lite history, because of the gauntlet that had been laid before them. And I am here for it! Of course ESPN and it's "pundits" will still be bringing up the narrow victory vs Idaho as why OBD is not "really" that good. (Everyone else is Obviously having a "down" year). Regardless of the playoffs beat down OBD is about to release on the NFL-lite twelve team playoff, that will leave a "bad"(Duck) taste in the mouth of the BlueBlood programs mouths, they will Not be fazed (FEBU). And this too I am Definitely here for also! LETS GO, CHAMPIONSHIP OR BUST, DUCKS! -
Uniform Reveal for B1G Championship!
MicroBurst61 replied to Charles Fischer's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Good Combo for the "wrapping up" of the B1G conference in our first year. I guarantee that as OBD advances through each round of the playoffs (3 or 4 games) that the uniform combos will get more and more "fresh", with a nod to tradition. When we make it to the Natty I would Love to see the 'ole "Duck" pushing through, not the original "O", but the new "O" (on same green helmet as this combo). For me that would not only look cool , but would pay homage to the 25 year history of OBD's journey to finally winning a Natty. As long as the playa's "bring it" they could be outfitted in whatever color scheme / combo you can think of, just as long as they Win It while looking goood in doing so! Go Quackers! -
No.12 Ranked Oregon Men Win at USC 68-60!
MicroBurst61 replied to Desert Duck's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Poor shooting, limited ball movement, FOULS, and they still found a way to win. Nice to see Shelstad again in the second half (where ya been homie?). First time this year he literally put this team on his back and went through USC via the free throw line. (Half his points came from the stripe) Fifth comeback for the win this year and the third after being down by double digits at halftime. Dana put it perfectly. "It's certainly nice to be 9-0, but we have a very long way to go to being a really good basketball team". I agree, but this team has showed a tenacity and drive to NOT lose regardless of how the game flow goes. This first nine game "flow" should serve them well in the B1G, especially during the month of January. If they "tighten things up" then this will be a very dangerous and competitive team moving into March Madness. Glad for the team and for Dana. Now let's make this thing "roll"! Go Ducks BB! -
Oh Goody! We Could Play Penn State and Ohio State TWICE!
MicroBurst61 replied to Charles Fischer's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Ok ..ok ....ok. I get it. New kid on the block. Gotta "make em" Earn it! So let's make sure that IF they get in as a #1 seed that they will have a significantly more difficult path to a championship. WHEN OBD finishes running the 2024 gauntlet set before them, back at the beginning of September, and WIN their first Natty under DL, it will HAVE to be viewed as the Greatest Championship run by Any NCAA football power! Then, grudgingly, the Blue bloods will have to Deal With a little bit of Green Bloods crashing their "exclusive" party! Can't wait for P Fawnbaum and the ESPN narrative to make whatever excuses they can muster on why this has happened. Tough T***ies! Just going to have to "suck it up" and accept the fact that there is a "new sheriff" in town and he is "Damn Green! 's! -
So far, so good. Any word on OBD's transfer portal...in or out? And yes I too miss the "waiting for faxed (yeah I'm Old!)" letters of intent to come across the board. But we are in a different era altogether now, so I will just have to play those memories out in my dreams. Go Ducks! Let's get another top 5 recruiting class!
-
Yeah he is! And going into my fantasy football league playoffs as the number one seed, Thanks to Sir Bucky Irving! Now only if I had been able to have also drafted Bo! Go Ducks!

Time to For the Big Ten to Adopt Las Vegas
MicroBurst61 replied to FishDuck Article's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
If the $$$$ is there and Vegas wants it to happen. Then it will happen. Just wait till the "new" 16 teams playoffs just 24 months from now. I'd be willing to bet (but of course) that "Vegas" will be involved in the playoffs rotations, somehow. Go Quackers! -
It's Embarrassing to See Grown Mario Begging
MicroBurst61 replied to Desert Duck's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Mari-ONo NEEDS a playoff invite. He won't have Cam Ward to pull out wins in the end next year. If he slips back to middle of the pack next year then recruiting, coach choices, become limited, And more importantly Mari-ONo's coaching seat instantly goes to HOT! An invite would give him a three year grace period before the inevitable. And he knows it. Glad we have Lanning! -
NIL Collective Funding: Ducks NOT Buying Everyone?
MicroBurst61 replied to David Marsh's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Division Street is one of the "innovations" we are always hearing about surrounding the Oregon Program. Ot appears to me that there was a concerted effort to put in place the "Oregon" version of NIL, that hit the ground running as soon as it was "legal and accepted" in the new NFL-lite. Yes, deep pocket supporters (Not just PK) but it's seems they have a "strategy" and long term viability approach to OBD NIL program. Don't have any specific details but I'm sure if I did that Division Street's NIL approach is as unique and varied as our plethora of uniform choices. I would betcha that many other NIL programs across the country are taking note and modeling their programs after what Division Street has already been doing for a few years now. Just another advantage of being a fan of a program that is laser focused on building it's "brand"! Go Ducks! -
Hell! Give us #13! Let's live "dangerously!" Seriously though. This BBteam has all the markings of an Altman tournament team. A whole lot of basketball to play yet, starting with familiar "conference foes" this week, but there appears to be more "team" in this team. Actually excited to see how this teams chemistry, solidifies, over the next 6-8 weeks. Could be another "rude awakening" for the B1G regarding the level of sporting competition brought into the league this year. 's

Let us hope. HOWever all "controls and guardrails" for industry (including the "sports" industries) are in the process of being "minimized" in our current reiteration of the capitalist model. So forgive me if I don't hold my breathe in hoping "litigation" will, in the end, favor no one above the needs, the wants, and desires of the new NFL-lite. Again, NFL-Heavy is also "waiting in the wings" with their own "army" of litigators (and law firms) waiting to throw their "monkey wrenches" into the process if there is even a perception of the NFL-lite impeding upon Any of the profits currently enjoyed by NFL-Heavy. Yeah, so get used to the chaos, it's only shown the "tip of the iceberg" of what is to come. Change is hard! And rarely painless. Go Quackers!
