  1. Uhhhh, the Paul "Fawn"baum SEC purists 'gotta cover our investment", analytics. You know...completely unbiased perceptions. Again, I hope Every SEC team that gets "put" into the playoffs gets "bounced" in the first rounds, however Unlikely that may be. Just care about OBD being there, on top, in the end! Go Quackers!
  2. Oregon Wins! 39-13 3 TO 3 SKS 333 Passing Sweet, sweet Revenge!
  3. Yup. If they can heat Alabama they will have Two wins against Two Top Ten teams (Quad 1) on the past 5 days. Would this be Dana's best start to a season at Oregon? Go Ducks. (Rude putting it on before the end of the Washington game!)
  4. With the exception of any "Riverboat Gambler Dan" moments, I feel more confident about All aspects of our kicking game than I have about any Oregon kickers room since I can't remember when. Not so concerned about the "yips" creeping in. I can feel confident that our "kicking game" will actually "win" us a game over the next couple months. Confidence level: 8 out of 10. Go Ducks!
  5. Yes a little discombobulated and inconsistent at the moment, but Do play well together and play to their strengths that each different game presents. Limit mistakes (IE turnovers/fouls), block out on the offensive boards. Would help if they let everyone get back on O and have players in position for rebounds before "chuck'n up shots. Continuing to develop the Chemistry between players on this team with a rotation of a pretty deep bench! Accomplish this before the first of the year and OBD, basketball version, might Also have the B1G "adjusting" to Oregon. Now finish the job and beat SDSU! GO DUCKS BB!
  6. A very good reason to dominate the "dogs" on Saturday. Let's see Dante for the entirety of the fourth quarter and actually "eyeball" it for ourselves. Or is the "fifth/sixth year senior QB transfer the new "norm"? (Geesh, I hope not!). Go Ducks!
  7. Q. Johnston couldn't catch a cold last night. J. Herbert only hit him in the hands, multiple times, and after his third drop you could see it had gotten into his head while pacing on the sidelines. With Dobbins gone Herbert's targets became...limited...thus limiting the offense as a whole. Ravens with King Henry are going to be a problem in the AFC playoffs.
  8. The man(?) does have some "undeniable" talent. Showboater? Yeah. Loudmouth? Yeah. Arrogant? Yeah. Confidence in himself and his ceiling? NO! (See above). He will be drafted in the first round (Giants?) and will have some "stellar" moments his rookie year. Then NFL coaches will figure his game out and he will crash back down to earth. When he can no longer depend solely on his talents and has to "work" the QB position his "confidence" will begin to show itself and he will fade into a perennial backup or into obscurity altogether. If I was voting I'd have to go Cam Ward or Jeanty. Just one man's opinion nothing more.
  9. I think DL has been "Coach of the year" each of his two seasons at Oregon. But, then again I'm a major homer regarding OBD. In my mind he is again this year, especially if he breaks that Husky "mini curse" they currently hold over him on Saturday, thus completing an undefeated regular season in OBD first year in the B1G. All that being said. Dillingham has done Way more with far Less and from a starting point of no one believing ASU would compete for Anything, on the gridiron, in the move to the BIG12. He has that team playing "solid", although not quite elite, football on both sides of the ball. Most of all, he seems to be establishing his own "culture" at ASU and that is going to serve him well. Dillingham should get strong concideration for the award. So can we now refer to Dillingham as one of Lannings' "first" coaching tree successes? Wouldn't it be fun if the "football gods" (selection committee?) played it out that Oregon and ASU get to meet in the playoffs. That could be a fun and entertaining " ol conference foes" playoff game. Go Ducks!
  10. Yeah, I would have to say that "Oregon" has excelled at identifying its "brand" and has positioned themselves to become the next Love em/Hate em program in all of NFL-lite. Happy to be on the "Love my Ducks" side of the stance. 's
  11. Yup! Picked Bucky up in my fantasy league late, as my FOURTH running back. Last 6-7 weeks only being outperformed by my first RB pick, Saquan Barkley. That young man is going to help me win my league! Love it when I have "inside info" on future NFL studs just because I follow OBD! Hey, hey, hey.
  12. I am sure that DL & Co. are using 0-3, 12-0, "our House", as Huge motivational factors. (Although I do Love the idea of Muhammad wearing his championship gear from last year.). But, most of all I believe they want to see mistake free execution, efficiency, and a command of all facets of the game to finish out a clean run through the regular season. Huskies will come in here, motivated, to ruin our perfect season and maybe get a lil into DL's head as the team he simply cannot beat. If Oregon doesn't beat "Oregon" this game should not be in doubt going into halftime. Would absolutely Love to see D Moore for the entire 4th quarter. (But need to score more than a field goal in the third!). A total beat down would be nice but I think getting as close to a "complete" game would actually be preferred. Leave No Doubt and a Warning to our Post-season opponents. 's
  13. Have to admit that three years ago I was "meh" about Sir Bo Nix coming to Oregon. After getting to know the player and the Man from having him lead OBD to great success on the gridiron; I am happy to admit that he is one of our all time "greats" as a "Man of Oregon". He has Earned and Deserves the current success he is having with the Broncos and to coin a phrase: "It couldn't have happened to a nicer guy"! Here's to a long and storied career as an elite NFL QB!
  14. Ahhh but They Have been in a position a few times to have "smelled" defeat and rightfully turned it away. It's not like OBD has not been challenged this year. Just haven't let the "L" have it's way. This will serve them well over the next 5-6 games. Go Ducks!
  15. AND ESPECIALLY when All the other conferences are playing conference foes...SEC is playing "Sisters of the merciful Beat Down". So half of the other conferences pickup another loss, thus dropping them on the rankings; most SEC teams pickup an "automatic" win, move up to fill spots by dropping teams from conference losses, then loudly, blatantly point out how "many more" ranked teams they have...thus gotta be the toughest conference with the (built in) hoghest SOS. I cannot believe that this still works for the SEC, more than a decade after the end of the BCS!! Oh well. It was it is, I quess.
  16. And if the playoff committee actually applied your insight and logic, then how could there be controversy generated on how the top twelve are being slotted. Again it's Not about logic, insight, or records, it's all about a "football" beauty contest (eyetest) and what will be Best for generating the max amount of "engagement" between fans and the sport. If it was a "level playing field" then either last years (conference formally known as "the PAC) was the toughest conference in the country that simply "cannibalized" themselves; OR the SEC this year is just down and full of "average (compared to the norm) teams. You can't change the "narrative" to whatever your desired perceptions whenever it best suits you. Drives me Batty the "double standards" applied simply based on the built up narrative on what football conference is what in the world of NFL-Lite. Paaaaul "Fawn"baum is the mouthpiece that pushed this hard until it became "accepted" fact. Also part of the reason that you might see 4 SEC teams in 4 different branches of the bracket. Avoid those inter conference matchups for at least the first two rounds too better the chance of having 3-4 SEC teams in the semis. ThUs able to continue the narrative entrenched surrounding the SEC. I hope to hell it backfires and the SEC sits outside the final four, looking in! As long as "The Duck" is the last one standing while hoisting up that NFL-Lite, championship trophy, I can live with(above) the disparity. Go Ducks!
  17. Twasnt Purty...but the Beavs Always give our teams "fits" in Corvallis. And we always seems to squeak out a nailbiter in the end. Was nice to see Bittle settling into his "big man" role and Shelstad finally started making his shots. The tourney in Vegas over Thanksgiving should give us a whole lot better "feel" for the ceilings and floors for this team early in the season. Go !
  18. Basketball is a game that allows a greater chance for an "inferior" team to beat a "superior" team in any given game. (Take PSU/OR cpl weeks ago). So a continuation of the oldest, longest, most games played rivalry in college basketball, should continue. We won't have to worry so much about the "civil war" basketball competitiveness versus how the disparity in football competitiveness will become between these two programs. Maybe get to keep a "sliver" of "tradition" in the 21st century college sporting world? Go Quackers!
  19. A little closer in the fourth quarter than it should have been. Credit to Auburn for keeping themselves in it and not wasting time during each possession. It appeared to me that Graves had his players focus hard, on the inside/in the paint game. Probably because of Ms. Kyei's return to the lineup and seemingly wanted to focus the offense last night, through her. And from what I saw and the success she had down low, I can see why. Still early in the season but this WBB team seems different from the past few years and has a bit of grit about them. Here's Hoping. Go Lady Hoopsters!
  20. Yeah, well tell that to my therapists.
  21. Isn't Lupoi screaming, ball, ball, after the ball on the sidelines in the latest Ducks v Them Recap, just before that play? If so, then yes just the way Lupoi "drew it up".
  22. Indiana, tOSU, longshot Penn St.....whomever. Ducks will be there waiting to continue "adjusting" the B1G conference to Oregon. Next.
  23. "Young Concrete". Gotta Love It! One "concrete wall" you Ain't going to run through for "the Coach". You can try!....but *see above! You have been warned.
  24. WAIT! WHAT! Didn't they "clinch" that spot few months ago at the B1G media days???? At least that was the impression DL gave to us. Go Ducks!
  25. Metrics, tiebreakers, "perceived" eye tests or strength of schedule ALL take a secondary consideration when it comes to generating the max "eyeballs" and "revenue generation" to the TV execs. You could have all the credentials, position, and experience in the world but 12 teams ARE going to be part of a playoff and in the hearts and minds of the power brokers in this new NFL-lite, what could it hurt to "nudge" the way the selections are seeded to maximize the revenue that this event generates. Yes. Four B1Gs in the top 5, but that Will change as the rest of the conference schedules play out. Next week, primarily because of the SEC, beat down a G5 "bye" weeks, we will see movement Up of all the SEC teams with a cooresponding drop for at least 1, if not 2 B1G teams. This will be used, as it always is during the final two weeks of each football season, to "pimp" the SEC once again as such an "overwhelming" tough conference that, of course, they "deserve" one more team in the playoffs than any other conference. I hope I am wrong and that there is no "influence" by the TV/Streaming powers that be on the directions the selection committee takes in selecting and seeding. But then I would be being Naive. Not that it matters to OBD for they will win, anytime, anyplace, just give em the chance! Go Ducks!
