USC played a team that passed for 32 yards. Not on one play. In the entire game. In truth, this was a game the Trojans should have won. This was a game in which the defending national champion Wolverines were booed in their own stadium. This was a game in which USC had the ball and a four-point lead in the last five minutes against an opponent that hadn’t scored in any of its last six drives. Right now, the Trojans have a championship defensive coordinator. They have a championship quarterback. They need Riley to be a championship head coach. But I thought it was the Refs!

I think this one will have a bigger audience than USC @ Michigan had, Georgia didn't fall in the "trap" against Kentucky, that was fortunate. Jon detailed that it hasn't gone well for Georgia against Alabama. But Georgia -2,5 on the road for now. I'm tempted to take that.

I think this will be a great game, be very surprised if it doesn't live up to the hype. Georgia hasn't got off to a great start, rightfully dropped after nearly losing to Kentucky. Alabama hasn't been tested, both teams were off last week. On one hand I want Georgia to win, go into Tuscaloosa and knock Alabama out. I mainly want Georgia to win, because I don't want DeBoer to have that great victory. But should I want the former Husky coach to have success at his new school, because it will cause heartache in Seattle?

Exactly my sentiments. The whining about the Refs is just sad. It's not like it's new. Michigan was pretty much telling USC what they were going to do every play of that drive, and USC couldn't stop them.

Once, when Bill Walton wasn't talking about the Cascades, Willamette River, Crater Lake or the Grateful Dead, he said a road game was the true test of a team, especially a really good team. You have to feed on the sounds from the crowd, know that the fans, the other team and the Refs are against you. You get a penalty. Instead of 1st & 10, it's 1st & 20, just deal with it, overcome. Keep doing that, and eventually, the opponent, the fans, the Refs will get tired, and you march on. A win on the road is a great feeling.

The schedule, more than any of the players have made Miami a contender. Clemson used this plan and won championships. I don't see Mario and the U doing that. though it may take until the Playoffs for them to play anybody.
