  1. One of the eastern guys the other day said he used to live in the Will a Met valley. My wife and I looked at the screen laughed.
  2. As everyone that knows anything about sports knows.....take them one game at a time......and respect every team.
  3. If Lanning leaves I'am sure you could get a real deal from USC for a slightly used hot shot head coach that has no idea what he is doing. This is the difference between an admin safe hire and a PK go for talent hire. Both hired about the same time. Riley is a moron.......that is personally greedy and could care less about the program. No special teams coach or OC so he could steal as much as possible for his salary while cheating the kids out of their talent development.
  4. Once in the BIG with the travel and heavy weight lines....Schedule Hawaii for recruiting purposes with the game 9/10 days prior to the regular season.......and Portland State and Oregon State (assuming they revert to traditional levels of performance once they enter the mountain west). Very little travel, except to Hawaii every other year and all three games should be no brainers. Continue the civil war, see a nice beach and smash a tune up.
  5. If Oregon wins out they replace the loser of the Oh St vs Mich game in the playoffs. If they lose another it's a good bowl. Lose two more......where is that toilet bowl cleaner. The key is the OOC record of the pac 12 this year.....in past years that was used against the pac 12 winner....this year using the same committee reasoning they have no choice but to include whoever the pac 12 winner might be.
  6. IMO USC will pull out a victory.
  7. Lanning is building a DL that nobody in the country will be able to handle.......Georgia better look out.
  8. IMO the committee will take the pac 12 champion as long as its not a 2 loss team. So Oregon has its destiny in its hands. With 6 ranked teams this is unlike most pac 12 years. What Oregon can do to help itself is replay Washington and beat them by 2-3 scores on a neutral field.
  9. This was a turning point game........went into a den owned by a respected nationally ranked team that has a rabid following and has been improving......beat the snot out of them. Enough said.
  10. Next year USC could be looking at a record of 4-8 or worse. They just don't have any superior talent on their lines and some horrible coaching. Rumor is Riley will be forced to clean house with the coaching which should result in a hit to recruiting and players getting used to a new D system. Williams should be leaving. Their LB's, Db's are subpar. The receivers are over rated except for Branch. The only DL or OL that USC has that could be of interest is Bear Alexander......all the others IMO are not worth much. Bear is undisciplined so I'am not sure he would fit the Oregon coaching staff.
  11. The signs were not the reason Williams has been throwing all those crappy passes.
  12. It's ok to gloat.....believe me they used to laugh their butts off at what they called the zero's when they were on top......20 years ago. It's all in fun.....and that is a real dumpster fire right now......it's looking like Cal might beat them. Riley is out with an illness. Their defensive tackle is out for targeting....and they don't have anyone else of note above 290 pounds for the DL. Cal off bye and at home. Williams seems to have spent so much time making commercials he forgot how to throw the forward pass. As for next year.....only worse......no recruits worth a crap for either line except maybe one ol. Williams gone. Playing the BIG.
  13. After Riley, Helton, Sark, Kiffin, Hackett and understand that Carroll was a third choice it's obvious that the powers that be at USC are totally messed up. Even their academic rating in US news is slipping......of course with so many scandals to handle it's hard to run a college.
  14. Forgot to add.....the longer Riley stays at USC the better for Oregon....the man is a dope.
  15. That was a great game......I'd encourage anyone to watch it on tape. As an aside.....Williams draft status should be top 15 now instead of one. He has been missing his passes and making poor decisions.
  16. If Ducks fans want USC to flounder that ought to hope either Riley stays a long time at USC or Kliff Kingsbury gets the job.
  17. Yep....when it's all about the bucks....don't worry....the networks are not stupid......Ohio St vs OREGON.....3:30 est.....12:30 pst.
  18. Speaking as a resident of indy.....for those 10 plus kickoffs.....it's called recording......and ignoring the internet until you watch it the next day.
  19. Frankly if I were a top defensive recruit the last place I'd sign for is USC........loaded with top notch busts. No development.
  20. IMO the networks will like those 3:30 est games a lot. That is 12:30 pst. Keeps the NW and Cali fans and the midwest is at 2:30. Mountain zone in ratings is much fewer eyeballs.
  21. Yep......the ducks played a good game.....the ball did not bounce their way.....somewhat due to bad coaching......nothing to be ashamed of and most importantly there is no other team on the schedule that the ducks come close to losing to if they play like they did against Dub. Which means another game.....at a neutral site......and a win.
  22. Duck fans.....don't lose heart......if the Ducks run the table from here on.....which they should......another game with Washington on a neutral field. This time I doubt a field goal will matter.
  23. This loss is on Lanning. The players won the game and their head coach fumbled the ball. Unfortunately they better go 11-1 or this loss is going to hurt the entire program in a lot of ways. A rematch on a neutral field would be something Oregon should relish. Lanning......grow up young man.......it's about the score board.....not your fantasies.
  24. Going to be a great game. One of the best all year. Perfect weather for football. It seems to be a genuine tossup. Vegas has Washington up 3 but that is the traditional at home advantage.......Oregon is within a reasonable drive so there may be more green in the audience than normal. I guess it's which one wants it more and makes the fewest mistakes. Hold on to that ball! Whoever wins this one deserves a top 5. Personally I think the Oregon pass rush is a lot better.......Penix is going to be under the type of pressure he has never seen before. I think Nix will have sufficient time to run the Duck offense. I also think Oregon has a bit more team speed. Oregon 35 Washington 24
  25. IMO Oregon owes Christo a bit of thanks for turning what used to be a relatively soft program into a heavy weight. His recruiting of the type of linemen that controlled the line of S was really a change. Lanning was probably somewhat attracted to Oregon because of what was already here. Having stated that.......he is a good recruiter......as a game time head coach......not so much. Miami will probably have to move on in a couple years.
