  1. I don’t see it as a flaw. The rule is the rule. Now there is clarity on how it MAY be enforced. Even though Kai has been doing this all season, I’m sure she’ll alter her technique in OKC.
  2. It doesn’t appear, based on their previous stats, that either this guy or his brother are players to get overly excited about.
  3. Yes, frustrating, but the calls were correct.
  4. I love YouTube TV…….my favorite feature is Key Plays. Easy to catch up on several games on a busy weekend and watch the end at crunch time.
  5. I have to give the offensive edge to Clark. While Sabrina could go toe to toe with Clark in a straight up 3 point shooting contest, nobody in the league can create their own shot from behind the arc like Clark….nobody is even close, except Steph Curry, and he doesn’t count. And Clark is a better finisher at the rim, too.
  6. Sabrina may very well be the GOAT, but the most transformative player is Caitlyn Clark. The popularity for WNBA basketball is soaring because of her and the attention she has brought to the league.
  7. Jordan Bell shut down the paint in that game. A truly dominant performance.
  8. No……coach K isn’t around, and neither is Dillon Brooks.
  9. Of course not…. But beating Duke, without Flagg playing, just would not be the same. It would still be a good win, of course, but nowhere near the shocking upset if Flagg had been on the floor. But looking ahead is dangerous…..especially in March Madness. Every year there are shocking first round upsets, and the Ducks need to be ready to play against Liberty …….and avoid looking ahead to a likely matchup with Duke.
  10. Those 2 guys were about as different as players as you’ll ever find. Bittle has a nice outside shot and a soft touch around the rim. Defense is just average. Dante was a menace on defense, a real intimidator, an excellent rebounder and could run the floor and finish with flair. But he was never an offensive threat unless he was within 10 feet of the basket. Both nice players….just different.
  11. I’d opt for Blair Rasmussen, All-Pac three times, 10 year NBA career, excellent outside shooter…..
  12. Oregon is a decided underdog and beating Michigan State tomorrow morning would be a shocking upset. Altman has faced these odds before and come away a winner…..but it’s been a while. While I’d bet the ranch on Michigan State I’d love to lose that bet.
  13. A right handed Randy Johnson…how did he do at St.Mary’s?
  14. And don’t forget Chad Cota. He made receivers pay for coming across the middle.
  15. Shelstad’s lazy pass, a bounce pass at a crucial time, was a grave miscue. Oregon was in position to possibly take the lead on that possession. It went downhill from there.
  16. In a previous life, in 1973, I was at Mac Court to shoot photos of the Ducks vs UCLA and, in a stroke of luck, was able to snap a photo of all 5 Ducks on the floor going for a loose ball - Ronnie Lee, Billy Ingram, Mark Barwig, Gerald Willett and Doug Little. All of them sprawled on the floor with Bill Walton lying on his back in the foreground. That photo, which is on display at Matt Knight Arena as a mural, epitomizes what the Kamikaze Kids were all about. What an exciting era to be a Duck fan.
  17. Great post. Just watched the second half…..and am appalled at the defensive effort. I’m guessing that 80 percent of Nebraska’s points after the half came in the paint and at the line. Atrocious defense. Shooting bricks didn’t help either.
  18. Kelly should and will be remembered as one of the greatest coaches in Oregon history.…..and he made the entire nation pay attention to Duck football. Chip’s 12 man comment may have rubbed Oregon fans the wrong way, but I don’t recall him ever saying anything else that might be construed as throwing shade on the Ducks. I’ll give him a pass in that one blip. Have there been others?
  19. The Michigan loss didn’t “mean nothing.” It meant everything. It showed that no matter who you’re playing you better be ready. I think it actually helped Ohio State to refocus, which it clearly did as it swept through the playoffs with nary a scare.
  20. I assume he was asked about the Oregon loss……and for Chip anyway, it was a pretty good line, drew a few smiles.
  21. Ragging on officials is part of basketball…..college and pro. Coaches are always looking for the “next call” to go their way. Just imagine how many 15 yard penalties would be called in football if coaches went ballistic on every call they didn’t agree with. Mick Cronin is pissed at his team, more than the officials. And it looks like he may be losing the locker room…..and possibly his job at season’s end.
  22. Is Franklin having issues other than the occasional drop? Like running the wrong route?
