  1. Just play the damn games……that is ALL that matters.
  2. This game is a pick’em……and Penn State is favored by 3…..understood. It’s really difficult to gauge how good Oregon is, that’s another reason Penn State gets the nod, that and the fact that there will 100,000+ fans, all in white, screaming at the top of their lungs when Oregon has the ball. Oregon’s schedule this far really doesn’t tell us a lot. Their opponents’ combined record is 3-12 and Oklahoma State and Oregon State are a combined 0-8. That said, I hope the Ducks kick butt. A win tomorrow in the White Out game would be a signature win and bode well for the rest of the season as we face a challenging Big Ten schedule.
  3. Moore is very good, but there is room for improvement. I’m recalling the short pass to Gary Bryant in the right flat that was thrown much harder than he needed to. Bryant turned, coming out of the break and the ball was there…..and he didn’t catch it. Just a little more touch on that throw and it would have been an easy grab. I am very impressed with Moore. He seems very much in control out there and I think that boosts the confidence of everyone else.
  4. I want Dante Moore’s numbers and composure to make us all breathe a little easier.
  5. Clark’s apology was weak and insincere. Came off badly. He’s had anger issues in the past. He needs to work on it. His final round yesterday was amazing. He is immensely talented, and learning to keep his composure will help him going forward.
  6. No way to spin it other than a miss. We whiffed on a long time Ducks fan. Not good.
  7. But Clark played 7 fewer minutes, had 8 rebounds to Sabrina’s 2, and had a 9-4 advantage in assists. And, yes, Clark had more turnovers, too. Just stats. Both of these women are phenomenal basketball players and it’s a joy to watch them play.
  8. I don’t see it as a flaw. The rule is the rule. Now there is clarity on how it MAY be enforced. Even though Kai has been doing this all season, I’m sure she’ll alter her technique in OKC.
  9. It doesn’t appear, based on their previous stats, that either this guy or his brother are players to get overly excited about.
  10. Yes, frustrating, but the calls were correct.
  11. I love YouTube TV…….my favorite feature is Key Plays. Easy to catch up on several games on a busy weekend and watch the end at crunch time.
  12. I have to give the offensive edge to Clark. While Sabrina could go toe to toe with Clark in a straight up 3 point shooting contest, nobody in the league can create their own shot from behind the arc like Clark….nobody is even close, except Steph Curry, and he doesn’t count. And Clark is a better finisher at the rim, too.
  13. Sabrina may very well be the GOAT, but the most transformative player is Caitlyn Clark. The popularity for WNBA basketball is soaring because of her and the attention she has brought to the league.
  14. Jordan Bell shut down the paint in that game. A truly dominant performance.
  15. No……coach K isn’t around, and neither is Dillon Brooks.
  16. Of course not…. But beating Duke, without Flagg playing, just would not be the same. It would still be a good win, of course, but nowhere near the shocking upset if Flagg had been on the floor. But looking ahead is dangerous…..especially in March Madness. Every year there are shocking first round upsets, and the Ducks need to be ready to play against Liberty …….and avoid looking ahead to a likely matchup with Duke.
  17. Those 2 guys were about as different as players as you’ll ever find. Bittle has a nice outside shot and a soft touch around the rim. Defense is just average. Dante was a menace on defense, a real intimidator, an excellent rebounder and could run the floor and finish with flair. But he was never an offensive threat unless he was within 10 feet of the basket. Both nice players….just different.
  18. I’d opt for Blair Rasmussen, All-Pac three times, 10 year NBA career, excellent outside shooter…..
  19. Oregon is a decided underdog and beating Michigan State tomorrow morning would be a shocking upset. Altman has faced these odds before and come away a winner…..but it’s been a while. While I’d bet the ranch on Michigan State I’d love to lose that bet.
  20. Locking up Lanning is a no brainer.
  21. A right handed Randy Johnson…how did he do at St.Mary’s?
  22. And don’t forget Chad Cota. He made receivers pay for coming across the middle.
  23. Shelstad’s lazy pass, a bounce pass at a crucial time, was a grave miscue. Oregon was in position to possibly take the lead on that possession. It went downhill from there.
