What I noticed was how few huskies were at the game. In the past there would have been around 10,000. Looked like maybe one-or-two thousand?

I went to the second Independence Bowl game (1992?). 70's during the day while there (until the last half of the game, when it got cold). Took a cab to see a great Christmas lights display, did the self-guided walk around downtown Shreveport and got to go in to see a just-renovated theater, because we were peeking in the doorway and the Pape's saw us in our Duck gear and invited us inside for a tour as they had something to do with something in regard to the renovations, had a lot of great seafood, and just in general had a good time (except the Ducks blew a first-half 19-0 lead). The Wake Forest fans were nice and friendly, so overall we really enjoyed the trip.

Kind of like when the dawgs did that years ago at Autzen. Ducks better make sure the huskies will just be slinking out of the stadium tonight!

The first PAC Conference Championship game was at Autzen, Ducks vs. UCLA. As I remember, it was damp, but I think it had rained--not raining at the game. There was a puddle at our feet and we were smack next to a concrete wall. It was SO COLD. I believe it was the next year the game was moved to a warmer climate.

Yes, The Hit should definitely be featured on the big screens at Autzen, right up there with The Pick!

I've thought about that, but if we'd scored a FG we would have had to kick off and maybe there would have been a good run back (not likely maybe, but possible). As it was WI started from the 22 and we know what happened next. 🙂

Though the Fighting Duck image of The Duck, which is the one resembling Donald, is still seen on some merchandise. I've seen it on new T-shirts. But I think the thing is that image can be sold only within Oregon, that it t can't be ordered from or shipped out of state. I've hung on to my Fighting Duck gear!
