  1. It's the opposite for me--my back hurts after standing for a while. My late husband had ataxia in his legs and couldn't stand for more than about 30 seconds at a time. He could walk, slowly, but standing was much more difficult. Different problems for different folks.
  2. I don't understand people who stand all the time. They can't see any better, and they block the people behind them. And from my experience, those people just stand, like fence posts, not cheering on third or fourth downs. Maybe there should be a section for people who want to stand for the whole game, and that would be the only place they'd be allowed to do that.
  3. When games are on Peacock, I'll probably revert to the olden days and listen to the radio, unless/until my daughter and SIL move to Eugene and I watch with them. Or I suppose I could go to a pub/restaurant and order 87 diet colas to keep a seat throughout the game.
  4. I'm on the south side, so concessions and bathrooms are much improved from before the remodel. I would like hot water in the restrooms, though I guess that's too much to ask. Also, there used to be speakers in the restroom so you wouldn't miss any of the game, but that is gone. And while once in a while there seems to be heat in the restroom, it's not too often.
  5. Did anyone get/do the survey? It had questions about seating, such as how much you'd be willing to pay per ticket (not sure if they meant a single-game ticket or season ticket) for upgrades being anything from wider seats with cup holders to private patios with tables with umbrellas, and price increases anywhere from $250 to $3,000 per ticket? Boy, I'm hoping this is for 20 years into the future, so I won't have to think about it.
  6. I have Xfinity and I get the B1G Network. (It may have come with the sports package that was included with subscribing to TCM, but I'm not sure.)
  7. Ugh. I hate night games. If a game starts here at 7:30 pm, it would be starting at 10:30 pm in Michigan, Michigan St. and parts East (Ohio State, Penn St., Rutgers, Maryland...), correct? I would think fans back there would not be happy about that, but who knows.
  8. He attended Michigan State, so I guess in that sense he is going "home."
  9. Well, a bit harsh about the Women's BB, but makes more sense than if he'd been talking about football.
  10. Well, this is as of today, but "according to reports." Jedd Fisch expected to leave Arizona football to take Washington job, per multiple reports WWW.AZDESERTSWARM.COM Here we go again
  11. I was kind of hoping DeBoer would stay at UW, if only to see him here when the Duck play the huskies next year!
  12. Legendary Montana football coach Don Read dies at age 90 WWW.MONTANASPORTS.COM Don Read, the respected football coach who lifted the Montana Grizzlies to national prominence and guided the program to its...
  13. I must admit, I've never been tempted to go up to Corvallis to see a football game up there.
  14. I understand what you mean. However, I do like to think that not all beaver fans are like that. After all, we hear from only those that go online to act that way. Not excusing the ones who do act that way, though.
  15. Believe it or not, I kind of feel sorry for Beaver Nation. I mean, things were going along pretty well, they'd just completed the $160 million renovations on the stadium (and those renovations looked impressive on the TV news stories I saw), and then, wham, suddenly the PAC-12 was reduced to the PAC-2. Trying to regroup and find enough teams to play in the coming years must be a nightmare. Yes, I understand that there are beav fans who, in their frustration, are lashing out at Oregon. And that's not going to accomplish anything for them. But, even though I look forward to seeing the Ducks in the B1G, I can't help but feel sad about the dissolution of a conference that has been around for 100 or however many years. I can't help feel sad for the players who, when they signed on with OSU, were excited and looking forward to playing there. I hope ourOSU will find a way to keep afloat, find enough good opponents to draw in fans, and find success (except, of course, when they play the Ducks).
  16. Yes, he looked comfortable. It was good to see.
  17. Oregon's guard Peyton Scott was injured in November and is out for the season, so that's probably part of the problem.
  18. I don't think it matters what conference a team is in, going undefeated is never easy. That said, I don't think Lanning or the players are overlooking Liberty. Go Ducks!
  19. As Major Hoople used to say: EGAD!
  20. And my grand-kitty, who visited today, and loved sleeping on a soft blanket right across from the warmth of the fireplace.
