Wall Street Journal on Oregon vs Washington
Annie replied to Santa Rosa Duck's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
I was listening to 95.3 in the car around 1 pm and whoever was on talked about the Duck-uw game and was full of praise for the excitement and closeness of the game, and for Dan Lanning. I thought I could find the program by googling, in order to post that part, but couldn't find it. So if anyone can find the program and at what point the game was discussed, I'll happily give you a quart of happiness.- 1 reply

While I was disappointed at some of DL’s decisions, as I think about it, different ones might not necessarily have led to a win, as WA may have done something different in response.
-
It would be great to see the Ducks go to the PAC 12 championship game and beat the dawgs, especially after I heard a husky fan on a call-in talk show say that WA now "owns" the Ducks.
-
It was a very exciting game, for sure. I just heard radio-talk-show-host Jody Mack say that he wished the game had gone into overtime, just because it was such an exciting game and he wanted more.

Let’s Do It: GameDay Thread vs. Washington!

Okay, I've never played nor coached a millisecond of football, but I still say take the points! (Assuming the Ducks would have made the earlier, closer field goal opportunities.) -
If granted, UW would then ask Whitman County (Wash.) Superior Court to grant a motion to dismiss the lawsuit. Washington pushes to dismiss WSU, OSU lawsuit vs. Pac-12 THEATHLETIC.COM The outgoing Pac-12 schools have also entered into a mediation process with Wazzu and Oregon State scheduled through October.

Future Non-Conference Games in the Big-Ten?

Alabama is like a firefly. It won't fly over the Rockies. -
That's the first thing I thought of when I heard the report about this on the radio this morning!

BREAKING: RB Noah Whittington Out for the Year
Annie replied to cartm25's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Yes, I saw him limp off the field, but also thought it didn't look that bad just judging from that. Hope he has a speedy and full recovery. -
Ducks vs Washington Will be 12:30 PT on ABC

I hope a lot of Duck fans show up! -
Well, first thing this morning on the radio I did hear the Oregon-Stanford score, so at least there was that.

If it's going to work, it would be now, during T-shirt weather. Most people have T-shirts in a variety of Duck colors. But when it comes time for winter/rain jackets, most of us have them in only one or two colors.

Usually schedules are made years in advance. So how are the schedules going to be made for the revamped Bigs next year? I assume the 2024 seasons had already been planned before the great migration, and now there will have to be considerable shuffling around. Are people working 25 hours a day and 8 days a week to accomplish this? And when will fans find out what the schedules are?
-
It says 12:30 on my tickets for the game, so I'll assume 12:30.

It's said that the greatest improvement is between the first and second games of the season. But since Oregon played PSU in the first game and was not really challenged at all, maybe the greatest improvement for this team will be between the second and third game--or even between the third and the fourth.

Oregon vs. Texas Tech: Never-in-Doubt!
Annie replied to Charles Fischer's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
I don't remember know how much time was left on the clock when Kenny Wheaton made that interception against udub, but I do remember that the coaches were yelling to him to take a knee. Of course, as we all know, he didn't, and how much less exciting would it have been if he had taken a knee? We wouldn't have "Kenny Wheaton's gonna score, Kenny Wheaton's gonna score!" -
Still, you'd think if they would have been taught or at least read proper English enough to be familiar with "could've." But from what I've seen on various sites, it's not just young folk twisting the English language. Ah, well.

On the internet, my pet peeve: "Could of, would of, should of." Were the posters never taught the contractions to properly combine two words?
