  1. I was wrong about Dickey, but Bowen didn’t really convince me that his commitment was authentic yesterday. This was only a couple of hours after his announcement with no NLI being faxed. Anyway, he’s a Sooner as far as I know. He’s talented, but is it worth the drama he brings?
  2. Wilcox actually did us a solid by turning it down. That’s the sign of a a good alumn.
  3. Mullens did listen to the noise. He offered Wilcox the job before Lanning. Wilcox turned it down.
  4. True story. I was staying in the Marriott San Antonio Airport a couple of weeks ago and happened to run into Kirby Smart in the lobby. He was on the phone and I opted not to bother him as it was 7:00 AM. Anyway, his luggage was very basic and worn out. Black cordura with no UGA emblems, etc. Unlike Deion, this dude was all steak, no sizzle. Just a winner.
  5. There are many reasons why. Below are a list of the most famous Duck de-commits since 2017. Guess how many all-pro’s are on this list. Andre Dollar Isaiah Santegna Kyron Ware Hudson Johnny Wilson Anthony Beavers Teagan Quitoriano Colton Yankoff Devin Culp Miles Battle Treshaun Harrison Braden Lenzy Warren Thompson Elijah Winston Michael Ezeike Isaiah Bolden Malcolm Lamar Mohamed Dialo Jonathan King Ryan Kelly
  6. Yes, but the mallard in his arms is also kind of telling.
  7. Excellent point. When guys create this kind of drama they usually end up transferring like 3 times. Remember Bru McCoy? He turned out as a decent WR, but he flamed out at two other schools.
  8. It was his way of saying he’s still committed.
  9. Dickey Tweeted that he is making an “announcement” at 3:00 PST.
  10. I see him flipping. The Bowen flip didn’t seem too decisive either. We’ll see how it all plays out.
  11. Card is out. He’s capable of starting at many programs. Sitting for a year would be a waste of his time.
  12. Card can start next season for TCU or Oregon State. No reason for him to sit as a backup for a year.
  13. Remember this. The top 5 QB’s in the 2019 recruiting class have all transferred. The free agent game is probably going to become the norm. Just look at JT Daniels. He’s been on more rosters than Ryan Fitzpatrick.
  14. I think Shough doubted MC’s system. It didn’t fit his style. At TTU he played pretty good after a year and a half of being injured. He threw for 435 yards in his last game against Oklahoma in an OT win. TT might stick around to see how this new system fits his style of play. It’s tough learning 3 new offenses in 3 years.
  15. I don’t see why not. It might make more sense to stay a year, collect your NIL money and then move on to the better offer. That’s been done a few times.
  16. If DJU shows up it might throw a wrench into a lot of these kid’s plans. Oh well, that’s CFB these days. We got our QB.
  17. I think DL is fine playing the waiting game and acting as a pseudo general manager. Let kids sign wherever they feel comfortable. At some point there will be a ton of QB transfers. That’s when he goes out and finds one who fits his offensive system. High school QB’s are kind of a wild card anyway. Look at the top 5 high schools QB’s in the 2019 recruiting class. All five of the have transferred to include Bo.
  18. It doesn’t matter. Let him ride the pine in Westwood if he wants to. Ducks will be OK.
  19. Oregon has had two top 10 recruiting classes since 2019. How many of those guys transferred out because they couldn’t get any playing time? Many times guys are recruited out of HS because of measurables and potential. Transfers are recruited based on their fit.
