Justin Herbert is Turning Heads
DrJacksPlaidPants replied to DrJacksPlaidPants's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Justin is so good the refs are starting to give him the benefit of the doubt on questionable roughing penalties. -
Let this also be a discussion on the SNF game. Herbert is one of the first QB’s who “Posterized” an entire defense.

It looks like Wisconsin was not satisfied with their offensive coordinator. Phil Longo is a very respected OC, but he couldn’t make it happen in the land of cheese. Wisconsin fires offensive coordinator Phil Longo after 2 years - ESPN WWW.ESPN.COM Wisconsin fired offensive coordinator Phil Longo on Sunday, a day after the Badgers' 16-13 home loss to No. 1 Oregon.

Bo, like Justin, will be offensive Rookie of the Year. You heard it here first….or second…or third….etc.

Cougs still at #25 with a blowout loss to Boise and a “couging” against 4-6 New Mexico.

Colorado is Going to Win the Big 12
DrJacksPlaidPants replied to DrJacksPlaidPants's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Dilly is going to hopefully beat BYU. If that happens then I don’t know what the tiebreaker is between ASU and ISU. It should be an easy win for Colorado based on how they’ve been playing. -
They’re looking much better than they did in the beginning of the season and I don’t see BYU, ISU or ASU beating them in the Big 12 CG. That would also give them a first round bye. Their OL is still inconsistent, but much improved over last season. They could prove to be a tough out.

Nobody wants to say it but the Ducks clinched a playoff spot tonight. Win or lose vs. the Fuskies. -
Oregon vs Wisconsin Post Game Discussion Thread
DrJacksPlaidPants replied to kirklandduck's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
I think that CFB is more similar to the NFL than ever. This is why we see great teams not playing well against unranked teams. I think the really good coaches will rest players if they have a ticket to the playoff. -

This win was very “2023 Washington Huskies”. Those guys escaped multiple losses. -

Dang. I had the champagne on ice for my prediction contest win. -

Thank you. I have never won before. This might be my first time. -
Oregon vs. Wisconsin Game Thread
DrJacksPlaidPants replied to OregonDucks's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
This is why I was the only person to predict a Wisconsin win in the prediction contest. Wisconsin will make Oregon’s offense one-dimensional and tire the defense out to win a low scoring game. It’s tough to get up for a road game 2000 miles east with a bye week on the horizon. They’re playing like they just want to “make it to the bye week”. That’s a recipe for disaster. -

The Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson prelims are much better. -
OBD Prediction Contest vs. Wisconsin: Join the Fun!
DrJacksPlaidPants replied to Charles Fischer's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
I predicted this would be a Duck loss. The Iowa game leads me to believe that Wisconsin isn’t that good. However, they’re coming off a bye week, their fans hate the fact that they lost two Rose Bowls to OBD, and it’s in Madison. Wisconsin 20-17 0 TO’s 2 Sacks 251 Passing Yards -
Lanning to the NFL? I Don't See It.

That author would be Winston Wilcox from Ohio. Coincidence? I think not. -
Will Prime be the Coach of "America's Team" Next Season?
DrJacksPlaidPants replied to 30Duck's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
The post-Jimmy Johnson Cowboys are where coaches go to die. Barry Switzer got lucky that he squeezed the last drops of championship juice out of that franchise. -

I think Reid will stick around as long as he and Mahomes can maintain their success. He doesn’t have Belichik’s ego, so I don’t see him hanging around if Mahomes leaves or retires. -
Lanning to the NFL? I Don't See It.
DrJacksPlaidPants replied to 30Duck's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
These days, I think that to be a really good NFL head coach you have to cut your teeth in the NFL. Jimmy Johnson was an anomaly. He also had the benefit of no salary cap. Pete Carroll coached New England before USC and Barry Switzer should give his Super Bowl ring to Jimmy Johnson. Those three are the only college coaches to win the Super Bowl and a college championship. -
Could Lincoln Riley Soon Be Fired?
DrJacksPlaidPants replied to DrJacksPlaidPants's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
If I’m Jennifer Cohen I wait for Bama fans to lose patience with DeBoer and get him back. That could be as little as 2 weeks. But, it could be longer if he wins the SEC or a playoff game. -
Could Lincoln Riley Soon Be Fired?
DrJacksPlaidPants replied to DrJacksPlaidPants's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
He could be fired for cause for the violations. The investigation has already stated that he is responsible for them. This might be the loophole Cohen needs to get rid of him and his contract.
