  1. I thought he learned his lesson last year in Seattle. I guess he figured he would get another shot at OSU if he lost, but he’s not the kind of guy I’m taking gambling advice from.
  2. This is true. Purdue found their offense against a ranked Illinois team (49 points) on the road. I would hate for OBD to pull a “Bama” in West Lafayette on Friday night. I trust that DL will get them re-focused.
  3. I live in NC and I can’t swing a dead cat around here and not hit somebody wearing Ohio State gear. I may throw on my loudest Duck shirt and head over to the Harris Teeter and pick up some victory beer.
  4. Herbie rarely picks against his alma mater.
  5. I was at the NCSU/Syracuse game tonight, but I was following this game. Nearly half of the Wolfpack fans left at halftime despite being down by a FG. Oregon fans may have done this in the Chip Kelly era when we were up by 4 TD’s, but I have never seen Autzen empty out during a close game. A conference doesn’t make the team
  6. This is my 2nd time picking against the Ducks at home. I’m happy to be wrong, but I am also trying to win a contest. I’m glad all of the Buckeye fans at Autzen didn’t get their money’s worth.
  7. He’s officially “questionable” for the game tonight. The injury seems to be more significant than they first thought.
  8. I think the game will sell over 60K with standing room only. Ohio fans will probably be about 30-35%. The stands will look an awful lot like 2013 Tennessee and 2017 Nebraska.
  9. Everyone is going to have to be extra loud. I’m hearing there will be upwards of 20-25K Ohio State fans at Autzen on Saturday.
  10. Ohio State 27-14 0 TO's 2 Sacks 217 Passing Yards Word on the street is Burch was dinged up in practice yesterday and carted off. If he's not 100% the defense is less effective.
  11. Oregon always wears black whenever Chip comes back to town. It's kind of a tradition now.
  12. They may hold 102,000, but that doesn't mean that all 102,000 are screaming their lungs out. A stadium that large just makes room for the bigger "wine and cheese" crowds that seem to be so prevalent in the stadiums of blue blood programs.
  13. But they went on to lose the next game to Pittsburgh.
  14. How many players do you think snuck out on Friday night to go party? I feel like an away game that involves an overnight stay in Nashville against the long time conference doormat is entrapment.
  15. I’m beginning to sense an uptick in trash talk from fuskie fans. However, I called this win. Not because uw is good, but because Michigan’s one dimensional offense.
  16. Oregon 31-21 1 TO 2 Sacks 293 Passing Yards
  17. If a player received his degree and moved on for various reasons then they're a Duck (Masoli, Dye, Addison, etc. included.). Mario and Helf put each put a Rose bowl and some P12 championship trophies in the case. I consider them Ducks. Players who left for the NFL Draft without a degree are Ducks. Guys who come in for their last year or two, but don't get an Oregon degree also get the benefit of the doubt. Lastly, players who lost their lives while at Oregon are Ducks. Guys who I don't consider Ducks. Willie Taggart and guys who transferred out, quit or got kicked out without playing much or receiving a degree. As you can see, I give great credit to those who used their university scholarship for its intended purpose.
  18. I actually have uw winning this one. It’s not that I think the fuskies are better. I just think Michigan’s one-dimensional offense is going to catch up with them in Seattle.
  19. I’ll add one. Rutgers’ entrance is top 3 in college football. They’re right up there with the Gamecocks and Noles.
  20. As expected, the loser of UGA/Bama stayed in the top five. The Dawgs dropped to 5th. Miami also dropped a spot due to their shady win. Alabama is the new No. 1 in Week 6's AP Poll WWW.NCAA.COM Here are some of the notable moves in Week 6's AP poll.
  21. That was forcible contact to the head and neck area. It should’ve been reviewed at the very least. It wouldn’t be a bad idea to let the B1G go back and review these types of plays for possible retroactive suspension. Especially if they are egregious in nature.
  22. Moore got solid reps against Beavis. If they want to preserve his RS then he has only 3 more games. Why waste one of those for one handoff and a kneel down. They may want to get him in when he can go a couple of series.
  23. Here’s the story behind the uniforms for the game on Friday night. It’s worth your time.
  24. This team can’t seem to put together four solid quarters of football. They had a great 2nd half against Beavis and almost a great first half in this game. They’re a really good team, but not great yet. Great teams don’t let 98 yard pick six’s happen with 15 seconds to go in the half when they’re in scoring position. They find a way to make it 35-3. It doesn’t matter that Tez slipped. It was a bad decision by Gabriel as Addison was in position to make a play. After watching the slate of yesterday’s games, Oregon is ranked right where they should be. They’re not in the same class as Bama, Ohio State, Texas or even UGA despite how they played in the first half. The good thing is that we’re still in the first month of a long season.
