  1. Michigan has one of the best DL’s and CB’s in the country. They don’t need to score a lot. They just need keep Oregon’s offense out of the end zone and make them kick FG’s.
  2. If only we had encouraged this genius to follow through with his master plan of 9:00 AM games. Maybe USC, UCLA and uw would have better records. Pac-12 commish exploring idea of 9 a.m. games - ESPN WWW.ESPN.COM Pac-12 commissioner Larry Scott said Wednesday that the conference has had preliminary talks about scheduling games to kick off at 9 a.m. PT.
  3. It's not lost on me that Lane Kiffin's picture is used as the model complainer for this article.
  4. My mistake. It was Finney who is projected to flip. Latest on Oregon five-star cornerback commit Brandon Finney and a possible flip 247SPORTS.COM Michigan and Penn State are working to flip five-star Oregon commit Brandon Finney.
  5. I heard McNutt is expected to flip to Penn State.
  6. He knows he’s behind the 8-ball in Miami. If Florida gets a great coach then he will lose most of his in-state recruiting battles to them. There’s a huge difference between playing ACC games on alternate channels and playing on ABC/ESPN every week.
  7. We have good depth at OL but injuries happen and sometimes it takes a while to get a new guy broken in to get the OL working together as a team. Ohio State is where OBD was in the first 2 weeks of our season.
  8. I have turned it to the TCU game for old times sake.
  9. I’m watching this game on my patio and my neighbors heard what I felt about Harmon’s late hit. That’s the kind of junk that costs a team a close win.
  10. Dante Dowdell is playing well. I wished Oregon could have kept him. He would’ve been a good 1-2 punch with James.
  11. Nebraska is going to regret not kicking the FG inside OSU’s 5 yard line.
  12. Ohio State is hurting on the OL since they lost their LT.
  13. How good was the Texas win now that we know Michigan and Oklahoma stink?
  14. I think they want to be like the NCAA BB tournament; however, I hate the automatic bid justification in CFB because It could eliminate a much better team. In a field of 68 teams it’s OK. Not for a field of 12 teams.
  15. Klatt just griped about the Ohio State OPI call from 2 weeks ago again.
  16. I was thinking about the playoffs and conference championship games and it got me thinking about different strategies. Now, the conference championship is being sold as a great thing because you get a first round bye. However, isn’t that championship game just another playoff game? Is not making the conference championship game just another form of a bye? Sure, you’re probably playing tougher teams as a 5-12 seed, but everybody has to win 4 games after the regular season if they want to be national champions. However, the loser of the conference championship game would have to play 5 games after the regular season to win it all. Now, I am making assumptions that the losing team in the conference championship game will make the playoffs. It’s almost guaranteed in the SEC and B1G. This leaves me to wonder if there are any teams out there who might use a different strategy to avoid the conference championship game. There are a couple of reasons why it might be a good idea. First one is resting injured players in the final regular season game who might need the extra time to recover and be healthy for the playoffs. Another reason would be if you know you’re going to be overmatched in the conference championship game and you want to avoid that 5th game. Of course, this could backfire in a number of ways. Like if you assume you’re going to make the playoffs with one or two losses. However, the committee could take it into consideration that a really good SEC or B1G team lost their final regular season game because their QB was recovering from an injury. Especially if there are other one or two loss teams in the top 11 who you have already beaten.
  17. Many of the pundits had USC losing to Rutgers tonight, but the Scarlet Sopranos got worked like a non-union brick layer. It was close going into the 4th quarter though.
  18. This right here is the difference between having boosters and having an owner.
  19. Dan’s right. CFB is more like the NFL now. I see the Ducks ending the regular season with at least one loss.
  20. You can see the back judge immediately reach for his flag because he suspects it is a face mask. However, for some reason he decided against throwing it.
