Which Guest Picker is Coming to Our City?
Same with the Pom-Pom’s (or “shakers” as the SEC folks say). The short folks are definitely at a disadvantage.

Uniform Reveal for Indiana Game...'Whatever!'
The uniform combinations are actually decided in the Spring. Below is an excerpt from an ESPN article about the subject. "Once players have finalized their choices with Farr's assistance, he will lay out the scripting in a look book and show head coach Dan Lanning before the spring game for approval. Finalizing the looks well in advance of the season helps Farr organize the high volume of inventory he has to line up. Going off-script is rare, but not impossible. Two years ago, with undefeated Colorado visiting for a highly anticipated matchup, the Ducks changed to a different uniform combination." ESPN.com'Our tradition to is to be untraditional': Inside the lif...Throughout the past two and a half decades, Oregon has pushed the envelope when it comes to uniforms.

Which Guest Picker is Coming to Our City?
This is the key phrase right here. You can wear an old dirt brown and yellow shirt from the Mario era as long as you show up instead of selling your tickets to opposing fans. The amount of Ohio State fans at Autzen last year was pretty bad.

Which Guest Picker is Coming to Our City?
South Carolina does this. They have white towels with the home and opposing team logos printed on them that they give out before every game. Of course, they have to uphold their reputation for having the wildest pre-game opening with the playing of "Sandstorm". Those towels play a huge part in the overall atmosphere throughout the game. To think that the towel waving craze started in the 70's when a bunch of drunken yokels from Pittsburgh raided their own linen closets at the suggestion of Myron Cope.

If it Never Rains in Autzen Stadium . . .
It's been sunny and dry in Bloomington all week. They'll probably get a teste of the weather during their Friday practice. Oregon will be wearing yellow.

Which Guest Picker is Coming to Our City?
Everett is another great choice. I think Ahmad Rashad would be a good choice as well. Much to my surprise, he's never been guest picker. I believe Prichard is in the pre-season, but he doesn't have a game on Saturday and doesn't play until Sunday evening.

Which Guest Picker is Coming to Our City?
I'm going with NBA Sixth Man of the Year Payton Pritchard. Corso would be a sentimental pick, but He may be tired of traveling. Does This All But Guarantee Dante Moore Returns to Oregon Next Season?
I think Dante should wait a year if there is a chance he goes to the Jets, Bears, Browns, or Raiders. Those seem to be teams where QB's go to die. This gives him a better opportunity to go to teams with aging starters who have had some measure of success. The best scenario would be if the Cowboys or Rams have bad seasons and get a chance at a high draft pick. Dallas has the Packers' first round picks for the next two seasons, so they have the bargaining chips to move to the #1 pick if they think he's their future. They should think about drafting Prescott's replacement and let them learn under him for a season or two.

Shame on Penn State
It’s their way of getting us back for costing them the 1994 national championship. Danny O’Neil threw for 460 yards and made their defense look pedestrian. His performance definitely cost the Nittany Lions some votes.

Florida Beats Texas! Congrats to GatOrlando!
While it’s popular with the Gameday crew they have only held their show there in ‘23, ‘21, and ‘18 in the last ten years. Before that, the last time it was in Dallas was 2002. I think Eugene is a lock. Stormin in NormanTexas' failure cost fans an ESPN College GameDay experien...Longhorns lose to Florida before playing Oklahoma

Florida Beats Texas! Congrats to GatOrlando!
Great win. It ensures a trip to Eugene for the Gameday crew. Lots of trees for Peter (Herbie’s dog) to mark on campus.

Oregon Broke Penn State
Let me just say that I never thought this loss would happen. However, after some deep thought, I think there are a lot of factors that led to this. First, they put all of their eggs in one basket for the Oregon game. They had the easy warm-up games, the bye week, home field/white out, etc. Second, they had to travel all the way to LA for their first road game of the season. It was a must-win game after the OT loss last week and they definitely didn’t treat it like a business trip. Third, they had to go against a totally new offensive scheme. Young Jerry Neuheisel had nothing to lose and he was able to cut Nico loose and get creative with his play calls. I think PSU felt that they could roll into Los Angeles and UCLA would just roll over and die for them. These upsets were good learning opportunities for all teams on a bye this weekend (Indiana included). I think we all know DL and Cig are going to have their players ready for a big game with all of the pomp and circumstance that comes with College Gameday which will definitely be making the trip to Eugene.

Oregon Football: The Bye Week Blues

Ducks vs Them, Penn State
As my wife and I were entering the stadium we experienced the happenings that were taking place at the 4:20 mark of the video. There was a lot of congestion. Hundreds of people came to a complete stop and they were screaming and booing. We saw that the area was closed off by curtains and we were wondering how in the hell we were supposed to get to the upper deck. Then, everything cleared out and we walked up to our seats. It all makes sense after watching the video. The Ducks were likely coming off the field from warm-ups and headed to their locker room.

Makhi Hughes To Redshirt, Transfer
Offord didn't play last game according to these guys. They're also saying there's a 50/50 chance he transfers with his brother. We'll have to see if he gets any playing time in the next 3-4 weeks. If he redshirts then I would guess he will follow his brother.

Ducks vs Them “A Thousand Cuts” Video
That reminds me of the 2009 USC "Fright Night" game at Autzen. So much emotion went into dominating them that Oregon came out flat against Stanford the following week. Stanford dominated early and OBD could never catch up.

Chad Powers: A Comedy at Our Expense?
And he's a huge Longhorns fan. It couldn't be easy to put on the same uniform we wore in the 2013 Alamo bowl the last time we beat Texas.

Oregon vs Indiana Game Time Announced
They'll be playing at the Cotton Bowl (Texas State Fair) in Dallas, but with Mateer out for a few weeks and Arch manning looking more like Arch Bunker, it doesn't seem as compelling a match-up as it once was. The only draw for the Gameday crew is smoked emu drumsticks, calf fries and deep fried Little Debbie cakes.
