The Ohio State WAAAH-mbulance Continues...
DrJacksPlaidPants replied to kirklandduck's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Timeouts aren’t like shots off of a shooters fingertips in basketball. The refs don’t review for the exact second the knee went down and match it with when the coaches fingertip hits his palm to see if the timeout was called with tenths of seconds left on the clock. The only scenario I could see where that would happen is if it’s was an ACC crew in a Miami game. -
Stephen A Says Alabama Hired the Wrong Guy
DrJacksPlaidPants replied to 30Duck's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
The other players also need time to get used to his system. He should have them humming along in year 3, but patience is not something that Bama fans have in surplus. -
DeBoer. He’s more Jennifer Cohen’s type. They make beautiful music together.

Stephen A Says Alabama Hired the Wrong Guy

Stephen A is a ring sniffer. He is a huge fan of whoever is the best team/players in each sport (except Dallas). He always loved the NBA Finals matchups between Steph and LeBron. That way he was always happy with the result. -

The referee has to blow the play dead before a timeout can be issued. Just because a freeze frame showed :01 on the clock with the QB’s shin on the ground doesn’t mean that there was a full second. There may have been a few tenths left. Not enough time for a referee to blow the play dead before the clock hit :00. The funny thing is I heard this from a Buckeyes fan who obviously had enough of his fellow fan’s whining. -
Ionescu and Sabally Win Championship With NY Liberty
DrJacksPlaidPants replied to HDuck's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Truth be told, it was pretty bad basketball all the way around. The Lynx shot 37% and 15% from three point range. The Liberty shot 30% and 8%. -

The Ohio State Excuses Just Won't Stop
DrJacksPlaidPants replied to Babyjesus615's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Harmon is the one and only reason he’s having that procedure. The amount of torque he put on his hand while ripping the ball out was just too much. Add to that the strength of Judkins trying not to lose the ball and you have a lot of force being applied to the bones and ligaments in his hand and wrist. I can promise you Judkins was 100% before that play. -
It's Gabriel or Jeanty for the Heisman

In light of the comments made by Travis Hunter this week. This would be some Wile E. Coyote vs. Acme delivery truck type stuff. -
Why is the Grass ‘Damn Green’ in Eugene?

I also think there is something to be said about the administration you work for and the boosters who support you. We all know the horror stories that come from programs like Auburn, Florida and Texas (pre Sark). They have absolutely zero patience with losing. I can promise you that Sark would’ve been out at Texas if head a losing season in his second year. I believe Oregon doesn’t tolerate losing very well, either. Helfrich is the perfect example. For all the missteps Mullens took early in his time at Oregon, he seems to have done quite a good job over the past several years. Sure, there are some sports that need to improve, but I’m sure he has a plan. It’s very easy to tell when a head coach and AD/boosters don’t have a great relationship (USuC ?). I get a sense that Mullens exercises patience with his coaches and they appreciate him. -
Take a look at the 31:00 mark of this video. The “Bussin’ With the Boys” guys (Taylor Lewan and Will Compton) cross paths with Ryan Day in the tunnel well before the game starts and he doesn’t even acknowledge them. Some might call it focus but he looks like he has the weight of Ohio on his shoulders. Contrast that with their interaction with Lanning at 35:50. Sure, DL won, but he gave these guys full access prior to the outcome. It probably doesn’t hurt that they both played with MM8 in Nashville. However, I feel like Oregon’s administration gives DL a lot of leash when it comes to marketing his program. It seems like Day has a very short leash. That’s probably the difference between blue bloods and new money.
