  1. Can Oregon use another DB? I think so. Imagine fuskie fan reactions if this guy transferred to Oregon. Note: Dillon Gabriel just started following him as well.
  2. Whittington and James are both 205-210 lbs. That’s pretty stout. Then you add the transfer Jay Harris who runs 220 lbs. He’s the big back but very agile. I watched his highlight reel and his mobility is impressive for a guy his size.
  3. He has tons of NFL experience. Hiring him would be nice but fuskie fans would be on pins and needles every time a NFL coach gets fired.
  4. Washington's Kalen DeBoer hired to replace Nick Saban as Alabama football coach WWW.NBCPHILADELPHIA.COM Washington’s Kalen DeBoer has taken the head coaching job at Alabama following Nick Saban’s retirement. ESPN's Pete Thamel reported that Washington made a pitch to keep DeBoer and offered him a contract that would more than double his current $4.2 million salary. DeBoer would owe Washington $12 million as part of a buyout in a contract extension he signed with the university in November.
  5. The day just keeps getting a little better.
  6. As much as I don’t enjoy making fun at the expense of others…
  7. They came up with $8.4M/year. DeBoer turned it down. I think he was fresh out of Petersen/Lake’s players and knew it was time to move nests.
  8. Herein lies the difference between DL and DeBoer. Dan Lanning is a builder and Kalen DeBoer is a maintainer. One is basically an engineer the other is a mechanic. Sure, one kept winning races with a finely tuned machine while the other was inventing something to beat it. When they stopped making parts for the finely tune machine the mechanic moved on.
  9. You can click on the latest article about DeBoer on this site and see the calamity. a Washington Huskies community WWW.UWDAWGPOUND.COM Your best source for quality Washington Huskies news, rumors, analysis, stats and scores from the fan perspective.
  10. I wonder if DeBoer is going to recruit any of his former fuskie players from the “transfer portal” the same way Riley did with his former sooner players.
  11. Go get him. Then bury him on the depth chart. Actually, we could probably use him.
  12. Fisch is a good coach but very poachable. If he has much more success the NFL is going to snatch him up because of his experience in the league. He has ties to Harbaugh and Michigan as well.
  13. Josh Wilcox used to coach the Fuskies defense, so they could always go after him to “stick it to the Ducks”.
  14. I think Grubb goes with him. He will have an opportunity at a championship and then the HC offers will flow in. I think Kellen Moore is somebody to look out for. Then there is always Urban Meyer. His reputation could use a cleansing and uw is relatively stress free.
  15. DeBoer is going to be hard to replace. However, as much as I hate to say it, he’s probably going to be replaced by a pretty good coach. Washington is an attractive job and since they offered DeBoer $8.4M to stay they have the money.
  16. That’s in Orange Beach. It’s a vacation destination that is very close to the Florida panhandle, so prices will be similar. Newer houses in the 2500-3000 square foot range that are inland will still be seven figures easily. Waterfront property in the Bellevue area with similar square footage will run $20-$30M. All the more reason for DeBoer to relocate. He probably lives in a shanty with his Husky salary.
  17. The Paul Finebaum show after a Bama loss is pure gold as well. However, I know quite a few Duck, Buckeye, Wolverine fans, etc. who act the same way sans the southern drawl.
  18. It’s DeBoer or bust for Bama. FSU's Norvell, Texas' Sarkisian staying, new deals in works for both - ESPN WWW.ESPN.COM Texas' Steve Sarkisian and Florida State's Mike Norvell reaffirmed their commitments to their current schools on social media on Friday after being linked to Alabama's high-profile vacancy.
  19. As a fan base we recently went through a very trying few hours of worrying about DL leaving for Alabama. Most of the posts were very normal. They ranged from reasons why he wouldn’t leave to “he gone”. I’m sure this is all very normal when it comes to writing one’s emotions down on the screen. What I would suggest is to have somebody read your post before submitting it. If that’s not possible read it again to yourself and ask “Do I sound rational”? However, the best way to check yourself is to watch this video first. If you are anywhere close to sounding like this guy you might want to wait 24 hours to post any comments. One more thing. Don’t post anything if you’re either drunk, outside in the cold with no shoes on, or both.
