  1. If Ohio State gets through their gauntlet (Tenn, Oregon, Texas, UGA/ND/PSU) then they will undoubtedly deserve the championship trophy.
  2. Some of the first round teams have an easier path to the semi finals than does Oregon, but at least one team (Texas) lost multiple starters due to injury. Oregon could also get Harper back with the time off, but nothing has been announced yet.
  3. There is a myth being perpetuated by ESPN and their gang of mouth breathers that the CFP should have the “12 best teams” competing for the championship. That’s very unlikely to happen because of the automatic bids for conference champions. There are a couple of things that have come out of the chief mouth breather, Kirk Herbstreit’s, pie hole that I would like to counter. Best vs. Most Deserving: He said this in reference to Indiana and SMU after their playoff performances. It’s not about who is best or more deserving. It’s about who “earned” their way in through their 12 game regular season performance. The three 3-loss teams that Herbie was honking for didn’t earn their way into the playoffs. Ranked Wins: Whenever I hear this I like to counter with the term “unranked losses”. These are obviously losses against unranked teams. Bama had two unranked losses and Ole Miss had three. A few playoff teams had one unranked loss (Tenn, Clemson, OSU and ND). The only way to overcome multiple unranked losses is to win your conference which is what Arizona State did. Who you beat is more important than number of wins: This was probably Herbstreit’s most idiotic comment. By his logic, NIU, Michigan and every mid-tier SEC team should be in the playoff. This is proof that lobotomies should be considered for SEC bias. I agree that the SEC is a very tough conference, but so is the NFC East (historically) in the NFL. I don’t see them getting the benefit of the doubt for beating up on each other. If the SEC teams feel like they should get special consideration because their conference is too hard then they should find another conference to play in. I know of one on the West Coast that has a few openings.
  4. I know a couple of Ohio State fans at work who would agree with you about 2 and 3. They think he should still be fired even if he wins the championship.
  5. I you didn’t watch Friday night’s College Game Day you may have missed Shane Gillis cooking Nick Saban and the SEC. Saban (AKA Alabama Jones) got defensive (and butt hurt) really quick.
  6. This is about as good a read as you will find on the subject of the pro-SEC media. ESPN's CFP coverage makes for a miserable experience AWFULANNOUNCING.COM ESPN spent the first weekend of the College Football Playoff bashing underdogs, criticizing fans, and living in the negative.
  7. Kiffin has been assassinated. We won't hear from him again.
  8. This would've been a bloodbath. Maybe as bad as the Tennessee game, but probably worse. We saw what Bama did in Norman, OK when the weather got below 60 degrees. They would've been lucky to score 3 points in Columbus.
  9. That's because they don't expect Oregon to make it past Ohio State.
  10. The Ohio State fans are really confident right now. They sound an awful lot like we did after we crushed Oregon State last year to make it to the P12CG. Their biggest worry right now is trying to get the overconfident Tennessee fans to sell them their Rose Bowl tickets at a fair price.
  11. Replace Indiana, SMU, and Clemson with Bama, Ole Miss and USCe and you likely get the same results. All three would lose in all of those environments by at least two scores. Bama and USCe are one-trick ponies. Force their QB’s to throw and it’s game over. Ole Miss has the better QB out of the three but he can barely move the offense in warm weather against average defenses. PSU and ND would shut him down.
  12. They couldn’t cover our WR’s with seven defenders in coverage. They better make sure they get home on their blitzes if they choose to do so.
  13. McCoy needs to learn how to draw a PI penalty. Had he worked back to the ball through the defender it would’ve been an easy call.
  14. This is a product of Tennessee’s horrific offensive play. Their defense is tired.
  15. So did I, but it was strictly out of enjoyment. Also, I buy the good stuff….unlike Pawwwl.
  16. Once again, a blowout. I had 38-17 OSU. It’s looking good. One early mistake such as a face mask penalty (Tennessee) or bad pass on 4th and short (SMU) can drastically change momentum. It’s been the theme all weekend.
  17. A metric butt-ton of orange up in the shoe. Ohio State talking trash to Tennessee as they head back to their locker room after pregame. This is going to be saucy, but Ohio State will blow them out.
  18. Texas has great depth. Ewers will only get better in the next two weeks as his health improves.
  19. I’m still weary from hearing the term “unfinished business”. That’s what Chip said when he turned down the NFL about two weeks before he changed his mind and took the Eagles job.
  20. He was the greatest base stealer and trash talker in MLB history. The attached video is hilarious and on point.
  21. Montana State vs. S.Dakota is the only close game today. It’s 31-17 in the 4th quarter.
