  1. Can we count the wings on the helmets and diamond plating on the jerseys? Personally, I think tie-dyed helmet wings would’ve looked great.
  2. I didn’t see Novosad on the injury report. It’s going to be hard to get a medical redshirt authorized if he isn’t listed as injured.
  3. Penn State had horrible play from their QB, but their running game gave Iowa all they could handle. They have talent. They just need to harness it. Ohio State will be too much for them, but they have Indiana at home after that. Penn State could still throw a wrench in the playoff like ASU did today.
  4. If he’s transferring the it means he thinks he won’t start next season. Read into that what you will.
  5. Dilly can throw a huge wrench in the playoff race with an upset today. Unfortunately, I see Tech boat racing them.
  6. His daughter’s decision not to keep attending Penn State is understandable seeing as how harshly her peers treated her father. I see him at Virginia Tech next season. It’s not a bad place to get an education, so she might end up better off.
  7. Underwood is talented but very undisciplined. Fuskies are making him look like a Heisman contender.
  8. I too am living rent free in Jed Fisch’s head. It seems that he is obsessed with copying my furniture. I’ve had this couch for five years and his looks new.
  9. I’m hearing Harsin, Ed O, and Vigen from Montana State. It doesn’t really matter who they get. Beavis is G6 now which means they’re a stepping stone to a P4 job.
  10. Miami has a weird schedule. Their bye weeks only had one game separating them (FSU). Now they have seven straight weeks of football. Oregon dealt with this last year. I think it was eight weeks they went between bye weeks. It makes recovering from injuries pretty difficult. Coming off a bye week isn’t always optimal for a program that has gotten into a rhythm. Before last night, Miami had only played one game since September 20th, so that might have had something to do with their play. Also, Louisville had a great plan.
  11. Miami has some good players. They’re going to be in the playoff. They’ll be dangerous.
  12. Oregon wins 24-20 1 TO 1 sack 197 Passing Yards
  13. Everybody has seemed to write off Penn State as a threat in the B1G and for good reason. They’re winless in the conference, they just fired their head coach, their QB is out for the season and it seems that even their own administration has even written them off as they begin their search for a new coach. However, there is one thing a lot of people are overlooking. Talent. Penn State has loads of it and now the proverbial chains are off. They are no longer weighed down by the high expectations of winning a title. They also don’t have to worry about playing for their head coach’s job. However, they still should be motivated to perform well because many of them skipped the NFL draft to come back for this season. These players certainly don’t want to see their draft stocks buried because they gave up on their seasons. Perhaps the coaching staff felt micromanaged by their former head coach and now they can continue to implement their game plans without interference. Maybe their backup QB is an accurate passer who makes good decisions, but lacked the prototypical size and arm strength to start. Whatever happened, they weren’t responding positively to Franklin’s leadership. I’m quite sure the interim coach has told them that they’re capable of playing like a contender and it’s time to show it. They still have, Iowa, Ohio State and Indiana left on their schedule. If I’m Terry Smith my message is simple. Try to ruin every opponent’s chance at the playoffs for the remainder of the season. https://www.ydr.com/story/sports/college/penn-state/football/2025/10/16/how-penn-state-football-can-recover-without-james-franklin-at-iowa/86610310007/
  14. Drink is from Alma, AR (Go Airedales!). I don’t think we’re going to see him making the jump to Arkansas just because he was a Razorbacks fan growing up. Believe me, if they could coerce him or The Gus Bus to come to Fayetteville they would. However, for Drinkwitz, jumping ship from an established program to go rebuild a program is the definition of insanity. As for Gus, I’m not sure he wants the headache of dealing with NIL.
  15. The numbers are mallard green if you watch the video.
  16. For those who can’t see the pictures because they don’t have X.
  17. The last time we saw something similar to this combo was the Holiday Bowl in 2022.
  18. Riley’s lynchpin would probably be a loss to UCLA which could very likely happen if the Bruins keep improving.
  19. This seems fixable. However, Moore could have a mental hang-up after being hit too much. If he can't get past it then they should get Novosad ready. Iowa's defense is going to test his mettle in a few weeks. He can count on that.
  20. I thought that was Limar who took that hit.
  21. Every single one of these articles have the same five or six names and they are all underwhelming except for Cignetti. It’s funny how nobody mentions any young coordinators as a possible replacement. Some of the better coaches in the nation came from coordinated jobs. Day, Kirby, Lanning, Freeman, Dilly et al. I think that Penn State will hire a head coach from another P4 school because that’s what Penn State does. However, there are some good coordinators out there that will end up being great head coaches. Stein comes to mind, but there are many more. I would expect Hartline, Patricia, Neuheisel and Schumann to be P4 head coaches at some point.
  22. The 2007 and 2012 NYG, 2023 Texas Rangers, 2014 UConn Huskies, 1986 Villanova Wildcats and 1983 NC State Wolfpack would all agree. I should also add that a football team with a OK offense and a great defense always has a chance. The 1986 Penn State Nittany Lions, the 2000 Oklahoma Sooners, and 2002 Buckeyes will vouch for this take.
