  1. Loved that play. You think JC is glad he came to Oregon???? Oh Yeah.
  2. Oregon --the winner 55/20 --the score 3 --the amount of turnovers Oregon creates 4 --the number of sacks Oregon records on the opposing team 425 --the number of passing yards by the Ducks. At least one back up QB plays significant meaningful reps.
  3. I think everyone involved in the LA schools going to the B1G may have buyers remorse in a few years. Especially if no one joins them, the travel is a killer (and all the other good reasons that Bill Walton pointed out - especially for the student athletes). If the LA schools want to come back to the PAC sometime in the future, there needs to be a PAC to come back to. The PAC will be fine without them in the mean time. Finally, with as much hatred that has been directed at the LA schools for being "back stabbing traitors", I don't want OBD to be in that position. We call them bad names for what they have done... and then we join them??? Not me!!!
  4. I loved this play! Interesting that you will notice that the linebacker, #33, who is covering NW on the play, was expecting the wheel route, as he was heading that way. Then, NW puts his foot in the ground and cuts to the middle, #33 is left out in the cold, all alone while Noah makes the catch. He was expecting the wheel route because Oregon had just run the wheel route to NW for a big gain. Also, NW would have never made the endzone if DT #2 wasn't maintaining his block until Noah flies in. After the TD, DT#2 is totally pumped and celebrating.
  5. The guy looks like the real deal. Nice to see he is hoping to have an official visit for the Utah game. Autzen is sure to be rocking for that one too. Let's hope that Dan and the gang can make it feel like "home".
  6. Exactly what I was going to write. Well done. Go Beavs!!
  7. If you're a betting person, take the over!
  8. How do you score 2 points in overtime???
  9. Oregon --the winner 45-27 --the score 3 --the amount of turnovers Oregon creates 5 --the number of sacks Oregon records on the opposing team 299 --the number of passing yards by the Ducks. ...and Bo doesn't play the 4th quarter.
  10. This is one of the best threads ever in OBDF. Many thanks to the NJDuck for posting these two great articles. And thanks to everyone who left their very good comments! Let's have a great rest of the season... and post season!
  11. Exactly what I was thinking! Miami's offense?? or Oregon's??
  12. It wasn't just taking a knee. Did you notice that NW, on the last real play of the game, slid instead of trying to make it into the endzone? Would he have done that in the first half?? When I saw that, I immediately thought that DL told everyone to hold on to the ball but not to score... probably during one of the last time outs that UCLA took. NW broke away and slid before he got too close to the endzone. Yes, there were a couple of UCLA defenders in front of him, but is going into a slide the normal thing that a running back does as he approaches the endzone?
  13. I was thinking the same thing... especially after the first "go for it" on 4th deep in Oregon territory.
  14. So, the clearest way to the CFP is winning convincingly the rest of the regular season and doing the same to an 11-1 USC in the PAC-12 Championship Game. That means that if we want to go to the playoffs we need to want USC to win out (rooting for USC in every game???? especially UCLA.) Beating UCLA again after UCLA beats USC won't cut it. If Oregon and USC win out they will possibly be 6 and 7 at the Championship game. A convincing win might well put Oregon into the top 4.
  15. "Unstopable Oregon!" -- Fox announcer as the TD unfolds.
  16. Definitely filling his resumé for the NFL. He has been unreal the whole game.
  17. I think that Lupoi isn't the only DC in the room. DL chose him for a reason (or 2 or 3). One of them has to be DL's confidence that he can work with Lupoi as they formulated their defensive philosophy and their specific defensive strategies. I think DL isn't messing with the offense too much, but I am sure his fingerprints are all over the defense. My point is that CK isn't just going against Lupoi. CK and his OC are going up against Dan Lanning and his DC. I hope that is encouraging.
  18. And we haven't mentioned the Autzen experience. Thibodeaux was blown away as a recruit. If I remember correctly he came for a UW game and Autzen was rocking. He said that he had never had an experience like that before. You think it made a difference?
  19. I have my doubts. I think we will be more aggressive as the year goes on. More disruption.
  20. Since Georgia, where DL admitted that they tried to install too much of the defense to fast, the coaches have pulled back and almost started over, installing (and using) a little more of the defense each week. The last couple of weeks - and especially last game - we saw more blitzes coming from different directions. For UCLA, the defensive staff is has 2 weeks instead of just one to install and practice MORE of the defensive strategy they would like to use. I believe that this is what we will see... more of the same plus a more. Last week we saw Gonzales one on one with Arizona's best receiver, even though that put him covering the slot, a position that he was not used to. I expect to see the same this week with Bobo. If this is true, it means that for two weeks Gonzales is studying Bobo and becoming an expert on him. That is good. I very much like the Duck's chances in this one... especially if Autzen is LOUD.
