I don’t think I’ve ever seen officials reverse a call that late. Very questionable. Moral of the story - if you see a questionable call, throw your drinks on the field. It will give the officials more time to talk it over and reconsider.

Meanwhile, Memphis is calling Bama to see if they can get on the schedule this season. Alabama is 0-2 in the state of Tennessee this season.

Slowly? It’s like an avalanche! This Georgia defense is playing like we expected them to from the beginning of the season. I love how they are disguising coverages and blitzing. Their linebackers fly around and make tackles in the open field. Hopefully, Coach Lanning brings more of this defense to Oregon, as he seems to play much more conservatively to not give up the explosion play.

Yes, but their defense is bad and Cam Ward is always good for a turnover or two. They are going to get blown out in the College Football Playoffs by a team with a good offense that can also play defense (I hope it’s by the Ducks!!!).

Well done by the coaches and players for coming out STRONG and not falling for the classic trap game, after a huge victory. Our defensive line wrecked havoc again. Matayo had another great game. Harmon is an amazing player. He reminds me of Aaron Darnold with his size, strength and quickness, and how he is able to blow up the point of attack by creating penetration. I wouldn’t be surprised if he is a first round pick in the NFL draft. That said, there were a lot of missed tackles tonight. Hopefully the team “goes to the doctor” and cleans it up a bit.

I respectfully disagree. The Heisman Trophy is supposed to go to the “most outstanding college football player.” It doesn’t include any criteria on the level of competition. Lately, it’s turned into an award for the QB on the best team but that is not the intent of the award. I’d like to see other positions win the award and would love to see a defensive player win it again, as there have been some terrific players on that side of the ball (and the offense always gets all the love).

Exactly! Oregon fans were saying the same thing last year, when Bo Nix missed an open receiver or two. Anything can happen when you take the chance on 4th down, especially when you pass the ball (e.g., tipped ball at LOS, bad pass, missed read, a drop). A run is the safer option, IMO, if you are going to go for it on 4th and short, and you don't have to just pound it up the middle...

Firing Coach Day would be a huge mistake, IMHO. His overall record speaks for itself and is nearly unmatched by any active head college football coach. Perhaps Ohio State should hire someone to work/mentor him (e.g., a sports/performance psychologist, a retired successful coach) to help him get over the hump in big games. As an Ohio State fan, I would be worried about his lack of accountability (e.g., pointing the fingers at refs, blaming execution). If you don't own your mistakes, you'll never improve. For example, his time management and decisions on the final drive of the game were not good (e.g., run the ball when you are in field goal range, have your team ready or take the timeout after the offensive PI so that the clock doesn't keep running wasting valuable time). Michigan and Oregon fans are glad that Coach Day is at Ohio State and hope he doesn't figure it out. LOL.

The season is only halfway over. If Oregon tanks, like after the 2021 Ohio State game, it was for naught. Coach Lanning and the team have to stick with the process (i.e., Oregon vs. Oregon, playing to the standard) and see where we end up at the end of the season. That said, Ohio State certainly won't like it, if Oregon comes into the B1G and starts challenging them on a yearly basis. There are some other B1G teams that have been near the top of the pecking order and everyone may take a step back. It's a great time to be a Duck!

I know that Purdue isn't a great football team but they showed some offensive life last weekend and the B1G Network showed that they have the most victories (17), as an unranked team, against top 5 teams, of any FBS team. The last of which was against #5 Michigan State, which Derrick Harmon was a part of. Coach Lanning cannot let the team get complacent. The team has to go into West Lafayette and play a clean game and execute (Ducks vs. Ducks).
