Georgia LB Nolan Smith Lost For This Weeks Game With Tennessee
These are 18-22 year old kids. Smart is a great coach, but even he can't get the kids dialed in 100% of the time against inferior opponents. I have no doubt Smart is going to have his team dialed in against Tennessee. Tennessee got to play Alabama at home and came out with a 3 point win on a last second FG. Alabama is still a great football team, but they appear to be shadows of themselves this season. I think UGA smokes Tennessee. UGA is -8. I think they cover that with ease.

Sources: Gonzaga in Talks With Big 12 About Joining Conference
Yeah, dividing up TV money will be interesting to see. I wonder if Gonzaga will miss out on 100% of football TV money, but maybe they get a deal where they take home a bigger percentage of March Madness Money? I think it makes sense to have different leagues for football and basketball and then the rest of sports. It won't ever happen because of money, but it would make the most sense.

THE TOP 25 CFP RANKINGS HAVE ARRIVED‼️
If there are 4 P5 undefeated champs, I don't see any reason to put in a 12-1 Pac 12 team. A 12-1 USC lost on the road by a single point to a very good Utah team, is much easier to talk away than a 49-3 loss. My personal preference is to go 13-1 and winning the Rose Bowl. Likely finishing #3 or 4 in the final poll. Although that reduces the conference payout by 2 mil. Each conference receives $6 million from the College Football Playoff for each team selected for a semifinal game and $4 million for each team that plays in a non-playoff bowl under the College Football Playoff. There is no additional payout for the National Championship Game, only additional expenses covered.

Canzano: Pac-12 and San Diego State in a Dance
Here is a spreadsheet I created for the most talked about colleges rumored to be on the list to join the Pac 12. San Diego State doesn't have the best TV numbers, but I have a feeling if they joined the Pac 12, those would jump because they did join the Pac 12. They have the highest alumni base and 2nd best TV market size. They have the largest undergraduate population. THE TOP 25 CFP RANKINGS HAVE ARRIVED‼️
Washington would likely be ranked if they beat the Beavers, but with both teams at 6-2 and the Beavers already ranked, it would be a better eye test win for the Beavers to keep winning. No P5 undefeated conference champion better be left out. Only 2 maybe 3 more years at 4 teams. I doubt there will be 5 undefeated teams at the end of the season in the next 2 or 3 years.

THE TOP 25 CFP RANKINGS HAVE ARRIVED‼️
Winning a game does need to mean something, but Tulane's win over KSU doesn't mean Tulane has to be ranked over KSU. Final score was 17-10. Especially, in a 1 score game. That is Tulane's only win over a P5 team. KSU has 5 wins over P5 teams. Tulane lost to Southern Miss. Head to head really only works when both teams are in the same conference and even then, the winner isn't always considered the better team. Did Stanford deserve to be ranked over Oregon last year? Did Oregon deserve to be ranked ahead of tOSU at the end of the season? It isn't always easy to say if team A beat team B, then team A has to be ranked higher.

Kliavkoff Believes Pac-12 Will ‘Catch’ Big Ten, SEC in Media Revenue?
I was listening to Canzano on the radio the other day talking to a former Fox Sports TV contract guy and he said the only way the Pac 12 surpasses the B1G TEN is getting a 2nd contract in before the B1G TEN. It would only be for 1 year the Pac 12 passes the B1G TEN. Once the B1G TEN signs their new contract, then the Pac 12 would fall behind again.

Bryan Harsin Fired!
Deion would be interesting. He appears to be a good HC, but that is at FCS level. He has recruited more than a handful of top tier division 1 talent. In the 2021 class Jackson State had five 4 stars and three 3 stars. He also had 11 transfers from P5 schools and another 7 from G5 schools. When you have better players, you tend to win more games. I have no idea if that transfers to the Division 1 level where you aren't going to have better players. I feel it is easy to attract FCS players with his fame, but I'm not sure that would happen at the FBS level. I do know he would be entertaining off the field.

Seven McGee Entering Transfer Portal
As mentioned several times, the transfer portal isn't open until after bowl games, so how is he entering it now? I hope Seven the best. However, I also hope the team doesn't allow him to be anywhere team facilities. He can go use the gym where all the other nonathlete students.

Does Georgia Need Oregon?
Way too much football to play. No power 5 12-1 conference champion has missed the CFP, except tOSU in 2018. See what I did there with the Big 12 in 2014? Neither team was 12-1, TCU and Baylor were both 11-1. tOSU lost to 6-6 @ Purdue 49-20 and missed out to Oklahoma who lost to 9-3 Texas @ Texas 45-48. Then came back and beat them 39-27 in the Big 12 championship game. CFP says they will hold up conference championships, so if that is to remain true, Michigan/tOSU winner, Tennesse/UGA winner, Clemson and TCU are all in the CFP. Once, there are not 4 undefeated P5 champions, then it starts to get murky.

Tunnel Fight After Michigan, Michigan State Game
I'm a curmudgeon. These schools typically say how they don't like violence, yet when one of their players are violent, they do next to nothing. There were more than 4 MSU players stomping on the Michigan player. Only 4 are currently suspended? I have a feeling the 4 players will be suspended a few games and then have other in-house punishment. I know MSU says they are still reviewing, but I feel like they won't add additional players to the suspension. It won't happened, but I'd also make sure the police charge them with assault and battery. I'm tired of the saying boys will be boys.... As mentioned before, how is that both teams use the same tunnel? That is just dumb.

WATCH: If Georgia and Oregon Met Again, What Would the Score Be?
If a school hasn't won a championship, we all tend to think they never will. However, it isn't like UGA is winning titles left and right. They won a championship in 1980. You might remember they had a guy name Hershel Walker on that team. Then they won their 2nd title last year. It was just last year, everybody was talking how UGA can't win a title. A whole lot of things need to go right to win a title. Are the top end teams in the SEC extremely good, absolutely. However, when the majority of the SEC get half of their season win total from playing non-conference games against Miami OH, Youngstown St., N. Illinois, Charlotte, SC State and Georgia States of the world, don't color me impressed. Mississippi St. and Arkansas miss 3 out of the top 4 teams in the SEC East. They have too many teams in the conference and play too few conference games. I have said it before, it is only going to get worse for both SEC and B1G TEN when they go to 16 teams. ACC the same with 15 teams and 8 conference games. There is nowhere to hide in the Pac 12 and Big 12.

Is 12-Team CFB Playoff Format Too Much or Just Right?
I feel it biased as a little as well, but when the Pac 12 champion went 12-1, they made the playoffs both times. I have felt the CFP has done a great job picking the 4 teams. It just happens the SEC have had multiple teams only lose 1 game. The media and talking heads don't mention it, but when you have 14 teams and only play 8 conference games it is very easy to have 2 teams go undefeated in conference play and another 2 teams only have 1 loss. When the B1G and SEC go to 16 teams, it will make it even worse. They will have a perceived strength when in reality, they have a schedule quirk. The Big 12 currently make it impossible to have more than 1 undefeated team.
-
Is 12-Team CFB Playoff Format Too Much or Just Right?
They have mentioned with 12 teams, the top 6 ranked conference champions will get an auto bid. I don't believe a P5 conference champion has ever been ranked below 2 G5 conference champions, so the Pac 12, Big 12 and ACC will never miss out on at least 1 bid. I'm not going to give the SEC and B1G always 3 or 4 teams. Right now the Pac 12 has 3 teams with Oregon #8, USC #10 and UCLA #12. B1G TEN only has #2 and #4 and will not have another top 12 team this year. Big 12 and ACC both have 2 teams in the top 12. Don't forget, there are usually only 1 maybe 2 CFP voters from 1 conference. The rest of the conferences aren't going to just hand over hundreds of millions of dollars to the B1G and SEC.
