Posted November 18, 20231 yr Administrator Here we are my Duck-Buddies, the thread for pondering the actual game as it happens. Let's discuss before, and during the game! The vast majority of you are GREAT in this thread, but you must remember that this forum is different, as we require civilized discourse. Discussion of negative is fine, but don't vent on us! Rule No. 31d covers GameDay Thread Conduct, and it is not hard for the vast majority of us--just a tiny few who need to reign it in when things don't go well for Our Beloved Ducks. Let's Have Fun Posting During the Game! Let's hope it does not take another miracle as in 2015! Mr. FishDuck
November 18, 20231 yr Go Ducks! Hoping TT gets in with the ones and Lanning lets him use the whole play book. Dilly of all people will understand.
November 18, 20231 yr Moderator I'll check back later, my 7 yo grandson is on youtube playing in his league super bowl.

November 18, 20231 yr Moderator Very cool to see Jones and JPJ running out front blocking for Herbert. That was a massive wall of human and I actually felt bad for those ASU defenders for a second…. but only a second lol
November 18, 20231 yr That was way too easy. Great to see lineman lead the way all the way to the goal line
November 18, 20231 yr Good to see OBD not fall into a potential trap game. They are firing on all cylinders. Edited November 18, 20231 yr by Phunteratc
November 18, 20231 yr I didn’t like the decision to go for it on 4th down. The defense is playing lights out, you are up by 21…just punt the ball and pin them deep. Don’t give them any momentum.

November 18, 20231 yr You probably didn't like that call either. I think DL is looking fir a big offensive showing. Style points I guess,

Most of the college football playoff committee members don’t know much more of football as we do and it’s unlikely they watch most of the games. Edited November 18, 20231 yr by OregonDucks

I imagine they do look at the scores at least. Winning 62-7 looks a lot better than 35-28.
November 18, 20231 yr Moderator That was the most comically inept tackling I’ve ever seen on Bryant’s TD.
November 18, 20231 yr Pull Bo and let TT play the rest of the way. Huge opportunities no one saw coming in a Q and a half. 300+ yards passing 5 tds for Nix. Thats plenty of style for Bo Heisman campain
November 18, 20231 yr Agreed. Let the starters finish the half and then shut every starter down. We have a short week ahead of us for the CW so no need for any extra snaps.

November 18, 20231 yr When your offense tends to look like/break down into backyard football, eventually one of those plays isn't going to turn out well.
November 18, 20231 yr That kind of felt like an effort to reestablish the killer instinct post USC. Yes, it is a bad ASU team, but good teams do this to bad teams.
November 18, 20231 yr Bo Nix is carving up Dillingham’s defensive. 1st half: 22 / 27 (81.5% completion percentage) 381 yards 6 TD passes 0 Interceptions QB Rating: 273.3 More TDs than incompletions! Edited November 18, 20231 yr by OregonDucks
November 18, 20231 yr Mr. Nix has just put himself head and shoulders into the lead in the Heisman race! DL needs to let him sit the second half, There is nothing left to prove.
November 18, 20231 yr That last drive was Lanning telling Bo, "Go take the Heisman my friend". Bo does exactly that.

November 18, 20231 yr Unbelievable! I am not sure how you can't give that man a little trophy of a player doing s stiff arm!
November 18, 20231 yr Is this the defense that held Fusky out of the endzone offensively? In Seattle?

November 18, 20231 yr This is insane. That is the best half of football I've seen anybody play in a long time.
November 18, 20231 yr Why is Bo Nix in for the second half? This screams unnecessary injury risk to me.
November 18, 20231 yr Starters should be sitting. Lots of players are banged up and could use some rest. Edited November 18, 20231 yr by OregonDucks
