Sunday at 10:44 PM3 days Administrator No. NJDuck, (Joe) lives in the epic-center of the storm (New Jersey) and has had over 22 inches of snow thus far, with 26-30 inches to accumulate before it is over. Whew! How bad is it where YOU live? (Eugene is sunny and crisp today with no storm impact) Mr. FishDuck
Sunday at 11:06 PM3 days No. I’m living 2 Weeks in Cabo! 75 for a high and 69 for a low. All inclusive by the ocean watching NFL playoffs in a warm lively Sports bar in the resort. Feel for me….
Sunday at 11:07 PM3 days No. I live in the beautiful sunny tropical of Tualatin Or. I did live in DC for several years and I know what its like to shovel 18 inches of snow.
Sunday at 11:31 PM3 days Moderator No. 38 degrees, heavy rain in SW South Carolina. My Bro in Boston reports two plus feet of snow on the ground with heavy snow expected for the next 20 hours. But Pats fans are happy. Pats 10 - Broncos 7 - Super Bowl next. The Patriots are 9-0 on the road this season. I would have been conflicted if Bo had been able to go but ...In heavy snow in Denver, OBD and Pats DB, Christian Gonzo Gonzales makes a late in the 4th Q pick to help seal the deal for the Pats.Everyone, please stay safe and warm.
Sunday at 11:44 PM3 days No. Tough watching the Broncos today without Bo, Forsyth and Troy Franklin. Imagine if they could have played and won today to go to the Super Bowl!!Read today that Bo's prognosis is 12 week recovery. We'll see.Current temp for me is 46 degrees, no snow, but have been checking web cams for locations of friends from Kentucky on the south to upper NY. Conditions for ice making their lives miserable.
Monday at 12:46 AM3 days No. Glad I'm not in Tennessee with my Granddaughters, right now. They're hunkered down around the fire!

Monday at 12:53 AM3 days No. I'm in San Diego and usually this time of year it gets cold and wet enough a few times for there to be snow up at 4k ft and above, but nothing this year. We aren't immune to some really rainy storms, but that tends to happen when it's El Nino. With La Nina it's been very dry, and I think this storm system just looped above southern California.Bo Nix is out 12 weeks for a broken ankle? That doesn't sound good. I always remember people saying it's usually better to break an ankle than sprain it as a break is usual 6-8 weeks. Bo Broke his ankle once in college and once in high school. Sean Payton said he wouldn't have drafted him if he knew about the ankle issue, and nobody was sure if he was joking or serious.
Monday at 01:14 AM3 days Moderator No. In NC with sleet and freezing rain. My cars look like glazed Krispy Kreme donuts out in the driveway.
Monday at 01:41 AM3 days No. Portland, OR is fine... But we can tell there is a big winter storm because the gorge winds from the east are cold which means the continental weather systems are COLD. But I'm happy to not be in the massive winter onslaught.
Monday at 02:33 AM3 days No. Balmy and zero snow (essentially all year so far) in Salt Lake. So much for my $1,000 ski pass. I wish the storm would hit us.

Monday at 04:50 AM3 days Moderator No. Seattle's not bad, sunny during the day but it freezes at night so I have to salt my driveway and doorsteps every couple days.
Monday at 02:48 PM2 days No. It's going to be a little bit chilly for us today -- about 71° for a high. It's actually a frigid 37° this morning, but with the wind chill, it's down all the way to 35°.
Monday at 04:56 PM2 days No. Mid-morning temperatures are right around 48 degrees way down here in South Georgia. We are going to have a low tonight neighboring somewhere around 22 degrees! That’s getting pretty cold for this neck of the woods! No snow in the forecast though, snow is very rare this far south. Although we surprisingly had a few days last winter that dropped about 10” on us and it stayed cold enough for it to build up and stay awhile. You wouldn’t believe the chaos that it caused for people down here.😂 Folks down here just don’t know a thing about dealing with snow. Seriously, just driving around at that time was quite the challenge for many of my neighbors!😂I’m not minding it so much, I sometimes miss the cold weather. I lived and worked in Canada for years so cold weather is something that I’m very familiar with. I even miss the snow sometimes, except for the shoveling and cleaning it off of my truck every morning. What I don’t miss is the ice! I had no idea all of the troubles that an ice storm can bring with it, heck I’d never even much heard of an ice storm. I was educated during my first winter in Canada! Luckily I moved up there in the Spring and had made some friends before that first winter. My new friends took me under their wing that first winter, otherwise I would not have been prepared or known at all what to expect. It was one of those things that literally goes along with the saying “you just don’t know what you don’t know”.

Yesterday at 06:10 AM1 day No. Here in Minden, NV (near Carson City), it has been the mildest winter of the 10 years I've been here. The house is at 4800 feet but has had one-quarter inch of snow all Winter. It is chilly with highs of 40-50 degrees but mostly sunny. I have three nearly 11,000 foot Sierra Nevada peaks out my front window that are snow-covered however. My bestie, who lives outside of Boston, has had 30 inches of snow with below zero wind chills the past couple nights. I know this native Californian is missing his old Santa Cruz County home these days, poor devil.
20 hours ago20 hr Moderator No. This morning's temperature in NW New Jersey is 4 degrees. Here are the forecast lows thru Sunday (yes, lots of snow on the ground with these temperatures will not melt anytime soon).Thursday - -2 degreesFriday - -1 degreesSaturday - 0 degreesSunday - 6 degreesBut the highs are better, we get a whopping 20 degree one day, the rest in the teens. Wind chill factors always can make it feel colder, but at this moment no wind today. 🥶 Phew!

13 hours ago13 hr No. Around 20 years ago, I had to travel to Minneapolis on business, in the immediate aftermath of a huge winter storm. The day I stepped off the plane, there was a wind chill factor of more than 25 below zero.Parking lots in the area had mostly been plowed, but the piles of snow were higher than the car I rented.3 days into my stay, I had to cross into Wisconsin, along the banks of the upper Mississippi, which was frozen to the point people were racing 4×4 pickups on the ice.I'm happy living in the Willamette Valley!
12 hours ago12 hr No. Here on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, 6 inches of snow, then two inches of sleet, then an inch of freezing rain. You can't walk on top of the snow, too slippery, hard to clear sidewalks, driveways and get cars out. We're hunkered down safe and warm inside though (not wanting to see our next electric bill). Other than that, a nice unexpected vacation. Edited 12 hours ago12 hr by OhioDuck

Not too bad at all for winter.I too paid my "snow dues" growing up in Alaska. Lived in Valdez while the Great Alaska Pipeline was being built. Seemed like it snowed 3 feet every night, and it was (of course it was! 😁) my job to shovel the sidewalk and driveway every morning. After the snow level got to be about 6 feet high on average, my dad finally let me give up on the sidewalk as long as I focused on the driveway...Part of the reason we're where we are is that I'm tired of real winter, and want to just enjoy balmy cool weather. In fact, I just told my wife that I might not even put the snow tires on her car this year! 😂Hope everyone stays safe and warm!!Go Ducks!!OlCodgerDuck Edited 7 hours ago7 hr by olcodgerduck
3 hours ago3 hr No. I'll never forget my first true winter storm in Northern Ohio when I moved there for graduate school. I had about a 20-minute walk across campus to my office. Being a Californian, I had no true winter coat (My mother bought me a reversible Jacket with fur which I turned out (like a fool) and made myself look like a Sasquash. I had no head covering.I walked in the building feeling no pain and the Department Head said "I envy you Californians getting all that sun on the beach in December". I hadn't been to the beach and was wind burned from the 25 MPH winds and -20 wind chill that morning. And I thought I was going to die 15 minutes later as my frozen ears thawed.I immediately thought of that day as I read about the frozen East Coast this week. Poor devils!
1 hour ago1 hr No. We dropped down to 35 degrees overnight here in southwest AZ. Highs got into the 70's.But , from experience from living in Tennessee, Ohio, and having visited family in Michigan, Indiana, Colorado, and northern California. I can tell you freezing rain is the worst. When there's a heavy wind chill sweeping through, that cold will cut through you, no matter how many layers you have on.I've driven through hurricanes, sandstorms, severe thunderstorms with hail and tornado breeding cover. But the one accident I got into was due to a car cutting me off, and I hit my brakes, but spun out as the offender drove off. Luckily all it cost me was my car.But a close second was during a nasty winter storm where my defrosters weren't working, and I had to drive and scrape to just have fifteen percent visibility. I couldn't pull over either. I had winding two lanes with concrete barriers on each side. I thanked God for getting me home that night.Be safe out there.
