GameDay Thread of Pac-12 Championship Game: the MENTAL, Not the Physical Side Will Win

I heard Mullens offered Mario 7 million today?

Is this really worth 7 million dollars?

No.

Ducks are getting what they deserve by allowing the coach to not do everything possible to win. I'm sorry, I have supported both Cristobal and Brown this whole season but we are seeing what a QB that can throw is doing to a tired defense. Thus has to stop, 8f one of the freshman quarterbacks are not starting the second half then it's all over.

Why?  You can get coaching like this for $49.95.   What good is it to get 4&5 star recruits, if you dont have the slightest idea what to do with them?

Brown is literally throwing this game away.

If Mario doesn't replace AB in the 2nd half I'll buy his ticket to Miami.

Who teaches these kids how to tackle.

These are plays guys make knowing they'll never be pulled from the game.

Oregon, has had the chances.  They are not playing up to the Utah Defense.  Oregon D has held Utah to 14 points in first half.  Wow, Just happening, AB interception with 8 second in half.  Mario, what does GOD have to do, send down a burning Football for you to get the message?

Dear Miami,

Please take him.

PS enjoy the recruiting wins. They are all likely all you'll get.

Brown must be benched or Cristobal needs to go to Miami in my humble opinion.

AB looks baaaaaaad. JM looks baaaaaaad.

MC will go to Miami.....and he should. Oregon needs to get back to playing Oregon football cause this is just ridiculous. Let all the coaches walk and do what USC did - get a top end coach, one who would have never given AB the time of day. What a dumpster fire this has become.

Homers.

It is 98% to 2%.

Brown gives Utah 10 points... Time to sit.

Bench MC!

It feels like the offense is deliberately tanking the game.

This is the worst. Worst than the first Utah game. 65 yards of total offense. Anthony Brown with two interceptions including the last one which was so unnecessary. 6 penalties against our DUCKS.

If we do not have a new QB to start the half, I am all done for the year. Bye bye Morehead, Christobal and several of our 2022 class. Sorry, I am disgusted.

I agree and I’ve been a huge ab and mc supporter all season

no way you can justify putting ab back in there

that was the worst half of football I’ve ever seen from a qb

This is uglier than the last game!  Totally out coached!

Sad for the players.  ALL Oregon Coaches can recruit but in my humble opinion they ALL need major improvement in game coaching!!!

Raiders are at home Sunday, right?

No sign of Marcus?

Seems foreboding.

I remember some of the 70s teams that could do better than this.

Coaching carousel is the main halftime highlight topic. SMH

We all know the ducks have the worst Quarterback in the country on a pretty good football team with a ton of talent.

First game was worse... the defense did their job more or less.. only allowed 13 points.

Brown's two interceptions resulted in 10 points. Brown is playing hero ball and he can't do it. Oregon has been at its worst all season when Brown plays the hero.

Any chance of a QB change in the 2nd half?

please?

AB is a warrior, a warrior without a weapon today. The main problem, as the last interception made obvious, is his decision making.

AB can make the 5 yard pass, look like I could make it. He also doesn't make some passes it feels like I could make.

Bottomline we can't win without passing, and AB isn't the guy to make the pass today. Are you going to try and win tonight Mario?

Add worst coach to have on game day.

You're right about the front 6, d line and Sewell are playing their hearts out!  But our pass defense is bend and break.  Anytime Utah needs a pass - our db's playing zone watch them catch the ball!

Reese:

"I'm surprised with the way Oregon has played"

I'm looking at the game plan (?).

And I want to insert some humor here, but I get the feeling nobody is in the mood to laugh

I can say this. The team as a whole has the makeup of a bully without the mental muscle to execute dominance.  So they tumble at the sign of resistance equal or better to their talent level ( including coaching).

You know what's great about this?

WE SAW IT AND STATED IT FIRST.

Too bad we finally have to witness it in such embarrassing fashion.

This forum is awesome.  We all should apply for the job and get that seven million.  LOL

Prime time again, national television again, egg laid on the big stage again. Not healthy for the program going forward.

Some fans wonder why the Ducks don't get national respect. We're seeing the reason why for the second time in two weeks.

And, Verone holding up that "Thorpe" whiteboard? He should be worrying about the game, not his post-season award possibility. Poor look.

At least it's been an impressive display of preserving red shirts.

Remember, "Pay The Man" was a popular thread on Tuesday, when spinning a 180.

Time to watch Heidi

All the CA kids which make up most of the Ducks will now stay in CA

the thing about redshirting QBs… if they are any good, they won’t be around for a 4th yr, let alone a 5th.

case in point… our 6th yr QB isn’t any good

Timeout! What do I do coach, my 5 yard pass won't cut it. Good point, not sure what you can do with your skill set today.

I don’t care if you give MC another four years to figure it out, he will not get the Ducks any closer to winning the Natty.

the only reason the duck fans aren’t booing is b/c the utah fans are louder.

Ty has played 3 games he could still play the 2nd half and redshirt

I think Heidi followed/interrupted a more interesting Raider game though ……

You can only hide inferior coaching for so long.  Thanks for trying your best, Mario.  At least you gave it the effort.  But…..the ability, it’s plain to see…..is not there.   Hopefully, you can gain it, at sometime: either here, at Miami, or somewhere else, before you’re through.  Good Luck…….

Oregon goes from #3 in CFP to fighting for the Alamo Bowl or worse.  Like how we are trending, Go Ahead Mullens, give him that extension and pay raise.  Stupid moves, that should not surprise us.  Mario, can you kick me in the shin, ahhhh, that's more like it.  AB, time for another Int, fumble ya got something?

I still think they will loose... Sadly, but Brown did better on that series

Why is Anthony Brown still the QB? He has completed one pass in the game to Oregon Receivers and two to Utah.
