  1. Are these the same NFL folks who thought Justin Herbert had “issues” with leadership? Maybe he will fall far enough to get drafted by the Chargers!
  2. Hayward nailed it with his post! … and Charles, we who visit your site regularly appreciate what you have created and share with us. A safe haven for Duck fans to learn more about OBD. Well done sir, well done indeed.
  3. Mom grew up in Eugene/Springfield area and raised me to love green and yellow. Loved the title of Tracktown USA and got to see Pre in action. Was lucky enough to watch some great games in Autzen, starting with the win over BYU when Detmer got sacked by Marcus Woods for a safety right in front of me! Back in the early 2000’s, I got to drive a quad pulling band equipment onto the field when the GPHS Marching Band played the halftime show, 4 years in a row. These days I try to bring the Grandkids to at least one game each year. Enjoy watching the Ducks play football, MBB, WBB, softball, baseball, Tumbling & Acrobatics, Track & Field, etc.
  4. OMG! We are going to tell Noah Sewell and Justin Flowe to create more havoc than they already do? This is gonna be fun to watch! Release the DUCKS of WAR to rain HAVOC early and often, upon their (soon to be dazed and confused) opponents. Can hardly wait til September! Go Ducks!
  5. I think we come out of the pre-season allowing 24-28 points per game while scoring 28-34 points per game. Of course the first game will skew the numbers a little, but the is my (way too early) prediction for the pre-season. We should hit full stride early in the regular season scoring 35-40 PPG while holding opponents to 17-21 PPG. Holding the tail slappers and the butt sniffers to single digits will be the frosting on the cake!
  6. I also noted that the prediction has the Duck O averaging 41.9 PPG while the Duck D allows 25 PPG! That will make for happy Duck fans!
  7. I am loving the statement “Lanning is going to learn something from his first meeting with Utah and make the proper adjustments, winning the Pac-12 Championship game in his first season with the Ducks.” A coaching staff that learns an makes proper adjustments? Oh Happy Day!
  8. Thanks for posting LH! I am thinking we are gonna see some exciting Duck offense next year, punctuated by a lock down defense! Go Ducks!
  9. Keep up the good work Charles. This is the Forum with Decorum, and we all know that means to keep it civil. As a fan who has been reminded not to throw shade, I have no problem what so ever with the site being policed and un-civil comments being toned down. Any of us can politely disagree with anything posted, and that is not only OK, it is an expectation. I for one keep coming back to OBDF because it does offer opposing viewpoints in a non-judgmental fashion. If people want to belittle other people for their honest opinions, I would rather not read it and would rather they took it elsewhere. I don’t always agree with some points of view, but I do try to remember they are coming from somebody who loves their Ducks just as much as I love my Ducks!
  10. If Lanning can reduce or eliminate showboating, trash talking and taunting penalties he will be an upgrade for the Ducks. There are few things that disgust me more than these defensive backs who dance around taunting like they did something when an open receiver drops a catch, or worse yet, these showboating displays after points are scored. Handing the ball to the ref after the score is a class act. Marcus showed us that regularly.
  11. I remember Dye saying that Cardwell was going to be a great Duck. As Duck1972 said, “I believe it's more on the lines he went home to his and his new wife, to be around their families.” I think that, and the fact that TD has proven all he needs to prove as a Duck, maybe he saw this as a new challenge close to home with his new bride, while ensuring some of the young Duck RBs get lots of reps next year.
  12. Entering the portal is not a guarantee that a player will be picked up is it? Is anyone aware of any research as to how many kids put their name in the portal and never play another down of college football?
  13. Charles, your article is getting me all fired up, not as much for tonight’s game, but for next year! Thank you for the research into wha Lanning could bring, Next year is gonna be both exciting and fun! If JF can put together an injury free season alongside NS, they will be a force to be reckoned with! Either on or both blitzing in the Rain-Blitz is going to rain havoc on opposing QBs!
  14. 28 to 24 Georgia, 182 rushing, 225 passing, 2 TO, and 3 sacks.
  15. The Chargers racked up over 108 yards in penalties, pretty hard to win when you do that. They were 8 of 10 going for it on 4th down, but going for it and not getting it on their own 18 was the 3 points that cost them the game. Herbie did better than he did last year and looks to do even better next year.
  16. I did too JT, his first couple of years, he was tearing it up. I was hoping he could come out of it as a Packer, but he just couldn’t seem to make the right choices. Another one I thought would go places was Thomas Tyner. I loved seeing the post of his epic cut the other day!
  17. No need to apologize Charles, over-all, it was a great article for generating comments! It generated some great posts reminding us of some great Ducks who did well in the NFL. Thanks for posting it. I’ve had my coffee and feel much less grouchy! Can ya tell?
  18. As McDuck mentioned, Dan Fouts and Gary Zimmerman didn’t do to bad in the league either. I seem to remember Bobby Moore doing pretty well too. Maybe the title should have been “A Few of Oregon’s Most Successful NFL Draft Pick Players.” I need my coffee, I woke up grouchy. Apologies to all…
  19. Patrick Chung didn’t make the list? Really? All decade team for the Pats from 2010 to 2020, with 3 Super Bowl rings?
  20. Why aren’t more ADs and HCs calling for rules to govern NIL and the Portal? They should be up in arms about how some teams’ boosters are making an absolute mockery out of “amateur” intercollegiate sports. There needs to be some sort of regulation or the foxes will be guarding the hen house.
  21. I think Canzano would have included Oregon in the article…
