  1. Jrw, lovin the sunshine buddy! I agree totally. for me, a big part of the angst comes from reading posts like “if they don’t win by ## many points, I’m gonna quit watching” or “the coaches and the players need replaced” Come on, are we Duck fans or fans of blowouts? I love a good stompin as much as the next guy, but what I really love is watching the Ducks, win, lose, or draw,
  2. I think playing TD as an every down back will lead to Dye joining Verdell on the injured list. It seems MC insists on playing combinations with multiple people on the O and D lines in order to “build depth and resiliency” while refusing to give decent reps to additional QBs and RBs which would also seem to build depth and resiliency.
  3. I thin it says more about the predatory nature of the PAC 12 than it says anything about the Ducks. The Furd beats the Ducks and the Trojans but lose to Sparky, USC loses to the Utes, Bruins, and Sparky, but beats the Cougs and Buffs ( not saying much, I know!) UCLA loses to Fresno State and Sparky, but beats the Furd and ASU. The Beavs beat SC and the Huskies but coug one to the Cougs and Purdue. I think it says a whole lot less about the Ducks, and a lot more about the brutality of the PAC 12.
  4. Like many on here, my 2nd favorite team in the PAC is OSU. I want the Beavs to win every game they play except one. Having said that, unless the Ducks get it figured out, and start playing up to their potential instead of down to that of their opponent, November 27 is looking a tad grim for the boys from Eugene. This year’s version of the Beavers are looking like a handful for anyone to play. They are not to be taken lightly.
  5. How do you break a fibula in a non-contact drill?
  6. To continue the questions… How many bandwagon fans jump off the bandwagon now? How loud does the cry to “Dump Mario” get? When does GK to something about the abysmally poor referees deciding the outcome of PAC 12 games? When will the targeting rule be fixed?
  7. So, what is the answer? Fire Cristobal? I don’t think that is gonna happen. Even if you did, who you gonna replace him with? For a bunch of youngsters, incredibly talented as they are, I think you have to let them learn from this and grow. Most on this honorable site felt this team was a two loss team at best, before the season began, the they upended tOSU. and suddenly they were playoff material. I was the one with the 15-0 pipe dream, I didn’t really think they could do it, but I sure wanted them to. I am bummed, disgusted with the penalties (both deserved, and undeserved), aggravated by some of the play calls, and aggravated even more with some of AB’s decision making. But at the end of the day, I remind myself, this is a game, played by kids, who are still learning to be men. A game can only have one winner, and sometimes the breaks go the other way. Am I happy with the loss? No. But I think MC has things moving in a direction I will be happy to continue to watch.
  8. Good to see Sewell back in there! That is one tough kid!
  9. Own the 4th quarter and finish strong, the game is ours. Mari prides himself on finishing games, let’s see it happen.
  10. I watched the full game on YouTube last week and the week before. There are usually several highlight clips of 10 to 20 minutes, but there is a full recording of each game within 6 hours or less.
  11. I really liked the lightning yellow, thunder green, and ice white.
  12. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cliff_Harris_(cornerback) Very much a waste of potential. Much like Colt Lyerla. Potential superstars who took the wrong path. Sad.
  13. Online stormy sea, teeming with barracuda, sharks and a fair share of torpedos! Humor is always a good way to sheath the sharp teeth! Keep up the great posts Dp22
  14. The Beavers will pound the dawgs, with #4 leading the way. The mutts will not be able to slow down the rodent running game, and will limp back home with their tails between their hind legs.
  15. UO 42, Stanford 28, 3 TO, 2 sacks, 210 yards passing. Go Ducks!
  16. The emerging dominance of Oregon team sports left them with almost no other choice. Consecutive PAC-12 Champs in MFB and MBB, defending champs in WBB, highly ranked in men’s and women’s indoor and outdoor Track & Field, cross country, Women’s Volleyball, Baseball, Softball, Acrobatics & Tumbling. Coaching staffs that promote an exceptional student/athlete experience while energetically recruiting the best up and coming athletes. Mullens has assembled a “fairly decent” team of coaches! What a time to be a Duck fan! GO DUCKS!!!
  17. Second consecutive PAC 12 Championship for MBB! They join MFB as back-to-back PAC 12 Champs!
  18. Q There is definitely too much going on for one guy to keep up with, even the venerable FishDuck! With any luck, we will soon see a new #1 later this week... I got to watch Duck wins yesterday in A&T, softball, and baseball! ‘Twas a good day!
  19. Quite the show put on yesterday by the Duck A&T team! Two perfect scores and some awesome performances. Eugene OR is rapidly becoming home to the title contenders! What a time to be a Duck fan! Here is hoping for a couple of deep runs into March Madness! Go Ducks!
  20. I absolutely echo the sentiment! The FishDuck site just keeps getting better and better. With great foresight, much passion and an insane amount of work, Charles has created a haven for Ducks to flock to. It is a safe place to share your thoughts and concerns about our Mighty Ducks and know that even if other fans disagree, you can learn and grow, without being attacked for your opinion. That is something entirely too rare on today’s internet, on for that Mr. FishDuck, we thank you and applaud your tenacity! Well done sir, well done indeed!
  21. This just reminds me in so many ways of the time when Darron Thomas left before his senior year. He didn’t have the transfer portal available back then, so he chose to declare for the NFL. Eithe way, the supposed front runner left because he saw he would not be able to beat out an uber-talented newcomer. (MM then ?? now) While I wish TS all the best in his future, I think this bodes well for the Ducks at the QB position. Whoever gets the starting job will have effectively beat out one of the top 3 QBs in the PAC12 for 2020.
  22. Good for Tyler, and I wish home great success. I do have to wonder if he did it because he thought he might drop to 3rd in the OR QB room...
  23. 1FD makes a very good point, often when a DC or OC goes, one or more seriously talented kids go with them. Not the case in Eugene. I think the next man up mantra goes through and through. The Oregon Brand is drawing the best and brightest to usher in a bright new era of Duck football.
