  1. Excellent story, thanks for posting!
  2. Noah was far and away my favorite player on this year’s squad. He was an absolute beast! He left it all on the field every game, he stayed in when he was obviously hurt, and he flew to the ball more than any other player. He was in or near the tackle on the majority of plays this year. You could watch opposing player start to shy away from him by the 4th quarter.
  3. Beat the tough teams on the schedule and STOMP rest of the competition.
  4. Jon, I have nothing but respect for most of what you post, and I admire your knowledge of the game. That said, I just can’t agree with a couple points you keep making on OBD Forum. First of all, 10-3 was “winning quite a bit, his way”. The Rose Bowl is still “The Grandaddy of Them All”, and a Rose Bowl win is a win whether it is by 1 point or 50. That 3L Wisconsin team still placed 2nd in their conference. As far as a choke collar on JH, he shared that distinction with both WT and MH. I agree that Mario is not (and never will be) an elite coach, but he gave Oregon his all right up til Miami poached him (the week before the 1st Utah game). He was a hard worker who put in more hours on his job than any of his predecessors. While I am glad he is gone to the disaster that is The U, I still acknowledge he did some good things for Oregon in his time as a Duck.
  5. LaMichael James, Marcus Mariota, and Penei Sewell, that is some pretty good company! Congrats to KT!
  6. I will definitely watch it, and hope to see Coach’s McClendon and Moorhead unleash the young guns and light it up! Soften the D with some deep strikes then turn loose the RBs! Aren't we supposed to have Bennett Williams back, and maybe Justin Flowe?
  7. Who is @coachDonJ? Is it Don Johnson head of player personnel & director of recruiting?
  8. I think you are reading it right Charles, especially when you add what he said yesterday for context. “Lanning, who has helped make Georgia's defense arguably the best unit in all of college football the past three years, told the Ducks they will play "championship-level defense … but that doesn't mean we aren't going to air it out on offense."”
  9. There were definitely a few! Some of the ‘right words” I heard included: servant leadership relentless pursuit attack, nothing passive aggressive but disciplined explosion plays recruit elite players and develop them a staff of teachers perennial winner
  10. I came away feeling good about the trajectory of the team going forward. I liked a lot of what he said he wants to do, I think he realizes that OREGON is the dream job, and a destination. I think he stays at Oregon as long as we want him. It sounded to me like he is willing to keep some of the existing position coaches and that he is willing to listen to advice as he makes staff decisions. I sense good times on the horizon for Duck fans everywhere.
  11. I don’t know about the rest of you guys, but I want to see an entire front 7 of velociraptors!
  12. I think it says more about the man that he honors his commitments to the kids he started the year with. I am pretty sure that allowing him to complete the playoffs with GA was a big reason we got him. It always ticks me off to see a coach move on for himself and leave his team high and dry. I think that is putting I before team. WT an MC both did it, and soured me on them.
  13. I think it was a good hire. He checks most of the boxes most importantly he has fire in his belly, he is a hard worker, the coaches he’s worked for sing his praises, and his players like playing for him. I gotta believe he will do fine at Oregon with all the support and amenities that are available. I am more than willing to trust in OBD and our system of supporting student athletes to usher Coach Lansing into becoming the coach we deserve. Lets give him the chance, support him while he grows, and see if we can give him the A+ a year from now.
  14. Noah already said he was jazzed about Lansing, in fact he almost went to play for him instead of OR. I get it, you don’t like the pick, but it has been made. As fans, our job is to support the team. Yes, the sky could fall and the Ducks never win another game, but I believe we’re gonna do fine. Go Ducks!
  15. That would be nice to keep McClendon! Other than he and Moorhead, who are we gonna have coaching the Alamo Bowl?
  16. I think the reward outweighs the risk. The ceiling just got raised! I think I am a Bulldog fan for their remaining games in this CFP!
  17. https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/32846231/oregon-finds-football-coach-hires-georgia-defensive-coordinator-dan-lanning-sources-say or is it still smoke?
  18. Thank you for your service guys! Enjoy the game.
  19. Thanks for the link Grandpa Duck! If we were to try a DC with no HC experience as a HC, Lanning sounds like the right guy. Correct me if I am wrong, but weren’t Bellotti and Kelly both OCs with no HC experience when they were selected as HC?
  20. Kurt, do they serve it cold or warm in the bars over there?
  21. My only complaint about the Nut Brown is they run out of it a lot!
  22. Isn’t speculation just about all we’ve been doing since Mario left?
  23. Thanks for sharing Just Ducky! I got a brother and a good friend that likes the watered down beer too. Just no accounting for taste I guess😃
  24. Caldera Coconut Porter out of Ashland, Deschutes Black Butte Porter, and Wild River Brewery’s Nut Brown Ale! Nectar of the Gods!
  25. You guys are killin me! I know, Vince Lombardi as HC, Don Coryell as OC, and Mike Singletary as DC! We can get Joe Montana to coach QBs, Mike Ditka to coach TEs, Jerry Rice for the WRs, and Neon Deion for the DBs! Talk about yer DREAM TEAM! What kid wouldn’t want to play here?
