  1. I laughed so hard when I saw this. . .What a tribute to the Duck and Lee. . .Thanks to both, for the memories
  2. Sorry Spartan2785, Looking back I was a bit confused at my train of thought. Having watched the Oregon vs WSU game, it made me think how OR gave up trying for the TD's because of WSU defense and settled for the FG's, 9 points in the first half. In looking at the OH State game last year, I got mixed up with Day, getting nothing in 3 turn overs on downs, giving Mario the win. My Bad. Dan Lanning taking those 9 points, showed coming away with points can win you games. Again, my apologies.
  3. Sigh, What could have been, both for Oregon and Dennis.
  4. Hated seeing him get old as he did play by play with Herbstreit in the first Wisconsin Rosebowl game. It's like watching Lee Corso over the years, loved him putting on the Duck Head, showing up on the Oregon Campus, surely will miss him too. Keep on Keeping On there Lee!
  5. With hard work and practice, the coaches seem to have them heading in the right direction. Teachable moments, focus and effort to match the scheme, I have faith. Never underestimate your opponents will, take the fight to them. Best of Luck in a hostile environment. Stay safe and may the Ducks fly to victory.
  6. Strange, he livened up the PAC 12, Heck he left his calling card with TT. Enjoy. Now this is a Coach I miss in the PAC 12.
  7. Oh my Duck Feathers! In week #6 of the season and ALREADY, Buyers Remorse in Miami. . . . Got to pay off Mario's new digs first, then you can let him go. . . "Tropical Storm Mario" has left the building well The Eastern Pacific back in 2019, was a weak storm that gradually lost speed, never making land fall. Somehow, made it to Miami though.
  8. Cougs have Motivation, lost in the last 3 minutes to Oregon. They got no respect when they beat Cal, AP left them out of top 25. Statement Game in LA. showing Wisconsin, almost Oregon was NO FLUKE. Cougs are stalking but even the Trojans can not protect from the inevitable. GO Cats just let My Duckies Go.
  9. I would have to politely disagree, last year Mario got a win, at the Shoe no less. Just so you know, I believe, Ohio State lost that game, not that Oregon won it. OS had at least 3 turnovers on downs alone, that is nine points given up when they had the kicker who could give them those points. The rest of the season Ohio State beat those teams they should have and only other loss to Michigan in Ann Arbor by 15.
  10. Not going to happen. WSU at USC this weekend, Cougs get the road win. This team is on HAMMER TIME. They feel like they let one get away with Oregon. I would not want to be Lincoln Riley or USC. Cougs are hungry, old time Oregon Hungry. Losses at this time of the year kill your momentum and your chances. First, you have to start praying for Coaching meltdowns, teams depth exposed due to injuries. Then the dreaded Coaching Carousel begins anew.
  11. I am shocked that WSU, did not get ranked after beating Cal. I say they get ranked after beating USC for their first road win in LA, you heard it first from EzDucksIt. Then there is the Utes, at UCLA, Chip softens the Utes up a bit for the win. Oregon in Arizona for a win with the team laser focused. Could put six in the AP top 25. Go Ducks!
  12. As much as I love what Chip has accomplished while part of the Ducks Program, I want to make sure he remembers who got him there. You can come back here as Much as you would like. We do not get mad, we just do not let you win against us. Thanks for coming to Oregon, hope you enjoyed your visit but Do NOT Plan on winning here. We should never underestimate good old Chip. The last two times Oregon played his teams, the scores were very close. At Autzen in 2020 35-38 and at the Rose Bowl in 2021 31-34 both Duck wins. There is a price Chip must pay for leaving the Flock. There is no more successes when it comes to Oregon Ducks.
  13. My biggest complaint, The Defense. The secondary, we have some great talent in our secondary that seems to play weak. We have players that are known for their sticking with guys. We put them in a react mode. What happened to bumping a guy in his route and leaking off to cover the under area. Brady Breeze excelled at that when Avalos came in as DC. We should be hammering teams with our LB's and DB's, yet we give them the underneath areas, 5 to 12 yards passes. I like when we put the Nick Foles shakes on oppossing QB's when our team attacks. So eventually, QB's start running for their lives when we get close. . . Wildcat Stew, licking my bill and shaking the tail feathers. Smack smack.
  14. Oregon had better have their bills facing in the same direction. This team they should beat and beat soundly 18-22. Stranger things have happened at the Zona Zoo. But there is no reason to let them celebrate at the Ducks expense. The Ducks need the road win and a solid performance back home against #18 Ucla Chip Kelly squad. Then two road games against Cali and Colo. Both should be wins with a return to Autzen against Washington. I see the Ducks at 9-1 when we meet Utah at Auzen. At least that is My Hope, lots of praying to GOD my Higher Power and my College Fantasy Football Team.
  15. I heard they pulled out the Crayolas, keep IT inside the lines people at the Zona Zoo, INSIDE the LINES! The moment we do not respect the Wildcats and play "smash them football" is the moment they upset the Ducks. Oregon will need to play focused football and skin those Cats. Arizona's last win against the Ducks was 2018 @ Oregon, 44 to 15, Marios first year as Head Coach. Jedd Fisch is in his second year at Arizona, his first year record 1-11. Coach Fisch starts 2022 off at 3-2, having last beat Colorado, who just fired their HC. They have some confidence in beating the lowly Buffs and they are at home. Oregon will stop the streak there. The Ducks have the veteran players and a better coaching staff. Scheme is everything and clean execution a priority. Leaving rubber on the road in Tucson with "Wildcat stew, It's What's for Dinner". Funded by Ducks flapping their wings and licking their bills all over the world.
  16. Does TT, a supposed five star QB act like he is OK with riding the bench? Remember Travis Jonsen 4 star QB, enrolled at Oregon 2015 with at least 22 offers, Alabama, Ohio St, Texas A&M, USC, Notre Dame, lots of blue bloods. Transfer to Montana St 2017. He at least tried his luck with a different program trying to see the field. Give me a high 3 star, who challenges for the starting role, shows his leadership and acts like he wants to be there. TT, looks like he is just collecting a pay check, does not inspire me. Time for Jay Butters to the Field!
  17. In all honesty, the Ducks are in the perfect spot. My issue was Ole Miss, passing the Ducks, even if they are 5-0. Just like USC, if we beat them, the win looks so much better. Win out strong, I like Oregon's chances. Injuries take a toll on depth. Have to keep Nix healthy. His two near interceptions looked terrible. Had Stanford been healthier, problems for Oregon. Winning at Arizona a must with authority too. Take no one for granted Ducks, Fly straight. Lastly, TT not the man in my opinion. Does not seem to have his head in the game. Time to give Jay a shot at being a leader. Bo took some serious hits and Oregon can not afford to lose him.
  18. I just want to make one thing perfectly clear here. I believe Dan Lanning is a great hire. His coaching selections has, appeared to me, to be about choosing great teachers. He performs like a good CEO/Administrator with a good plan and the staff to get it done. The culture has changed, it's not about You/the recruit. It is about you and how you can be an integral part of the team success. I believe he would rather a recruit want to be at Oregon. He has talked about "what are You/the recruit doing, when you do not have the ball". Them getting more involved, understanding how the little things contribute to success. His demeanor in public amazes me, as young as he is with this being his first Head Coaching job. Recruits and future staff should love this kind of Head Coach.
  19. It's like being hungry for lunch but instead of spending your own money, you go to the Cost Co Buffett. Warning, they frown on the third trip. Just saying.
  20. I respectfully disagree. I would take the Bellotti, Kelly and Helfrich first two years as HC over any Power 5 team with the high 4 and 5 star players. Texas, Oklahoma and USC have gotten no where in the last 10 years with that talent except by the ESPN homers. Take a look at this article. Oregon Football: Where Ducks rank among top-25 in past decade DUCKSWIRE.USATODAY.COM The Ducks may not have the history of an Ohio State or Notre Dame, but in the past decade, they’ve been as good as anyone. That article lists Top Programs, some Blue Bloods, former winners of National Championships. It shows, Oregon has been in the National Championship conversation for quite some time. More than the perceived Blue Bloods of the PAC-12 USC and Washington. If you look closely, you do not see Texas, Penn State, Nebraska or Miami on that list.
  21. Charles, You crack me up. Just do not expect an invitation to his 55th Birthday Party at New Mexico State's Football Witless Protection Program.
  22. Charles, You are too honest and cut to the chase. Dan Lanning has as least the appearance of someone who can see the positive in negative situations. Teachable moments, Developing and Correcting mistakes making better players, teammates and people. Big Picture kind of guy. Mario, is all about control but that is like an illusion. His job is to bring in those individual players and coaches to build a working team. He does not get it. See what $8 Million a year gets you, Mario the Micro Manager of Miami. The Miami Football Program under Mario Cristobal
