I maybe assuming, but I think PD, he may have been plucking the Duck if you know what I mean. As that is how I read it, all in good jest. Sorry that the growing of the FD has caused some growing pains but all will be well, keep up the good work Charles and Mods.

Duck players have to adjust to new coaches, scheme and culture. Dan Lanning and staff have to adjust to being the New Guys, his staff finding the ways to jell together and manage the players on hand. Hopefully, they all, Coaches, players find their footing and with that, success. Go Ducks!

The End Zone Fade: Oregon Can Run It Now!
EzDucksIt replied to FishDuck Article's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Having the safeties like Breeze, where he disrupted a receivers route or timing is so important. Seems like we have gotten away from that. Having offense that were quick to line up and stress the D hopefully returns. Love to see where we make the defenses head spin and make the opposing QB's fearful again. Oregon Ducks "FSUing" their opponents once again. Just another Ez Dreaming Moment. Sigh. . . -
I love that others speak volumes about what they see of J Flowe's motor. Brian Bosworth was a great Athlete at linebacker. Problem was, he could not stay healthy. Hoping that Justin Flowe finds a happy medium where he uses his strengths, smartly to have a long healthy career.

Hoping that he has Controlled aggression. That he attacks like Kiko Alonso did. Need him to be smart and healthy to be effective over the course of a season. Best of luck to him this year and hope he has a long career.

And they T H I N K joining the B1G is going to help them. . . Oregon just needs to show their stuff on the field. Actions speak louder than words, leave it all on the field Ducks!

Oregon’s Two-Quarterback Solution
EzDucksIt replied to FishDuck Article's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Coaches game planning to use the opportunities to build reliable depth is most important. One can wish, that some of these young men realized or took advantage of the opportunities presented to them. Leaders, take action and Lead. The problem is they maybe the ones that head to the portal. The personnel that let down, hopefully show up soon than later. Johnny Football, had great receivers in college failed in the NFL. Tate Martell, great in High School a bust in college. Marcus at Tennessee, Las Vegas struggled, in Atlanta one hopes for a career turnaround. Coaching, scheme and personnel, all make a difference. GOAT, Tom Brady, has done it with two different teams. Being "Special" sometimes rests with the player. Oregon, I am hoping that the new staff, has the vision to find the best talent to lead the program. Puts back ups in, as appropriate, to learn and develop talent. That talent understands growth from experiences. Oregon needs players to be competitive and committed. Go Ducks! -
Oregon’s Two-Quarterback Solution
EzDucksIt replied to FishDuck Article's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
In the Old Days, Coaches played the best senior athlete, the youth waited their turn. Unless they had a standout talent. The issue now is, that talent does not have to wait for Oregon to be ready for them. They can elect to go into the Portal. Find a team that may allow them to see the field sooner. Oregon needs to prepare QB's for competition that does not stop for the red jerseys. Real competition does not hold back which helps prep the mind for game speed, getting used to physical contact. Facing real game experiences forces the talent to execute physically, mentally and to make adjustments to become better at their trade. Mark Helfrich brought in Adams Jr and Prukop as Transfer QB's. It did little to show the underwhelming talent of Lockie and Alie, until they appeared on the field. Mario Cristobal brought in Brown, which shelved a 5 star and 4 star talents that may have been better. Having some confidence in the back ups is important. Having a reliable Back Up man is just smart football, IMHO. -
The Difference Between This Year and Last?
EzDucksIt replied to Haywarduck's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
I expect Dan Lanning to become the next Brooks and Bellotti. Has assistant coaches that are great teachers. Players will be developed and earn spots in the NFL. -
Great Info. . . What ever DJ Johnson does, this year should shine for him. Loved how he played as he swapped roles due to injuries in the offense and defense. Being solely on defense, should make him shine for the draft. Look forward to seeing how Tilmon performs on the field. Oregon has had some great Tight Ends in the past, that have gone on to the NFL too. Oregon Ducks Football: Top 10 tight ends in school history DUCKSWIRE.USATODAY.COM Though they don’t get the shine that other positions do in the Oregon offense, these 10 tight ends will go down in Duck’s history as the best of the best. Found this source by googling. Loved the fact that they had Colt Lyerla mentioned as he showed some great potential. As did Johnny Mundt, Evan Baylis and I would put DJ Johnson in that same category of TE's that played significant roles for the team. Would really like to see some TE's become good enough for the NFL.

I getting called up by coach! Uh NVM, it was just Lazyboy™ asking for their recliner back, my bad.

Sorry Annie, I will have to politely disagree with you. But nice try. The Oregon staff has been kind enough to stop sending me those pesky cease and desist letters. Sincerely, EzDucksIt PWO Armchair Quarterback Still on the Waiting List

A Life Worth Celebrating For Overcoming the Odds

Very nice article. So many negatives in a young mans life. To be blessed by enough positives to change the direction. Blessed. Tragic. Never Give Up. Another Duck. -

Big Ten Finishes With Notre Dame and...Oregon?
EzDucksIt replied to Charles Fischer's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Short story. When my father passed away in 1999, in his early 60's, he left behind a WHOLE bunch of slides of the family, problem was that I could not find the projectors and bulbs easily. Lazy and busy with kids back then. And by the time I found a company that would put them on VHS, cd's came along and I got lazyER and well, I am leaving them for my Grand kids to figure out, when they come along, one day, still waiting. . . It's in the jeans, uhm I mean genes. -
Big Ten Finishes With Notre Dame and...Oregon?

WOW! When I was a kid, those were staples of American Living, Ma Bell, the US Postal Service, being a Sports Patriot. Going to baseball and football games. Now, you have Pay Per View, the internet, Streaming. The Former Conference of Champions, the PAC. Charles, have you saved all your videos to VHS, before it is too late? -
Conference Confusion: Have You Arrived at THIS?
EzDucksIt replied to Charles Fischer's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Annie, I put in an EMERGENCY phone call into my older sister who lives in Eugene and keeps me in the know of everything DUCKS, well close to everything. She has gone silent, now I am worried. And this was when they let go of Coach Johnson. Sigh, lonely being in the Dark about the Ducks. . . -
Conference Confusion: Have You Arrived at THIS?
EzDucksIt replied to Charles Fischer's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Charles, just make it go away. Sigh. Seemed like when they got rid of Larry, there was a chance we could have corrected all this. . . Maybe we just waited to long before we righted the ship, gave the PAC 12 CPR. Just like the song from Tear For Fears- Mad World, smh -
You have invested a lot of $$$$$ and time Charles. You have assembled a great many writers and your time to explain things Just Ducky while maintaining a sense of civility to treat everyone like adults. To have adult discussions about the U of O. What a great day to celebrate a Birthday too. Happy Birthday and may you have many more, just like the United States. You should be proud of what you have built, I enjoy it immensely.

Oregon needs to be with the Power Teams to keep relevant in the National discussion. Think how hard it is for a team in a lesser conference to break the magic bubble. Scott Frost's team, UCF went 13-0 in 2017 finished ranked 6th in nation after beating Auburn in the Peach Bowl. Oregon can not sit on its hands letting others control it's destiny. That is not Oregon.
