  1. Seems like Spencer Webb was a 5-star human being who would have gone on to accomplish great things, a tragic loss.
  2. And UCLA's. I know my buddy Bill hates this!
  3. It has been proven that the winners of the championships have had stellar recruiting numbers. But Oregon didn't lose to Auburn because of their roster. If Dixon didn't go down, that team would have won it all. I'm all in for Oregon getting the top players, but it's just another stat.
  4. I don't find it that fantastical.
  5. It all begins with Georgia, and it's hard to make an objective case for Oregon winning that one, but the games last season against the Utes were a complete mess. New coach, new players, new offense, new defense= new outcome. Of course, it will be 1990 all over again when BYU comes into Autzen. The Cougars in the Palouse the next week have me more concerned.
  6. This is worse than, "Once a Duck, always a Duck". The disingenuousness is overflowing.
  7. No, I should have been clearer, my favorite USC player.
  8. Thanks for your thoughts.
  9. Cal? Ore. St.? Bulldozers are at Reser digging up interest while Oregon just finished construction on the premier Track & Field stadium in the world. In Berkeley I expect that 70% of the fans don't know when the first game is on, much less when or who the Bears are playing. Watching the Pac-12 Network has shown one thing above all, the crowds at home games for Oregon are the biggest and the loudest.
  10. Wow, it's as hard for USC fans to EXcept that Oregon has handled them with almost as much ease as they have the Purples. The Trojans have actually won in the past and belong in the blueblood type, but they can be just as classless. If USC basketball was a guest on that old TV show, "What's My Line" it would stump the panel. SnoopDogg doesn't go their games. Their best player last season: could walk around and nobody would recognize him.
  11. This is exactly how I see it too. From now on, I want and actually expect. USC and UCLA to be bombarded with boo's from start to finish for every road game, in every sport, The Jane can get pretty loud. As for the Beavs, I want wins because then it's more impressive when we beat 'em. The Huskies have enough trouble winning now I don't need to really think about their games, and of course, Go Utes, beat FlorDUH!
  12. Thanks for bringing this article over, it was a very enjoyable read, looking forward to reading more from Mr. Oram.
  13. Well, gosh darn, sorry to hear about your problems there, Addison. Hard to imagine USC being anything less than forthcoming with their future plans...about anything.
  14. He was nominated for an Oscar for his role as Sonny in "The Godfather" and I really liked his TV show. Las Vegas", but to me, James Caan was Brian Picolo in, "Brian's Song? I remember when it was shown on TV, it was all anybody was talking about at school the next day.
  15. I agree completely with Kamikaze Kid, we don't hate the Beavs, in fact it is a bit like Wally and Theodore. The hatred is reserved for the Mongrels, Fuskies, purple splotch on humanity, up north, though recently, USC has been the target of our vitriol; in part of their actions, and of course because Washington hasn't really been worth the attention.
  16. Well done, Charles, you have indeed created a haven for Duck fans, and even occasionally those of other teams. to ponder and discuss the goings on of sports, with cat gifs, in a friendly environment.
  17. “I think it gives Lincoln Riley a little bit more respect,” PicKell said on The Hard Count. From Colin Cowherd maybe.
  18. I will have to disagree with you here. Oregon has established its own "identity", Oregon is a national, in fact, international brand. It has been the winningest team, football & basketball for a long time, it has the best facilities in the NCAA, and the best track and field stadium in the world, Oregon has done too much to better itself to go down with a sinking conference. To the family and friends, I have at other schools, I say, "see you on the other side."
  19. I agree, Axel that UCLA being included with the "best" is ridiculous and USC hasn't been in that category for some time. But the sentiment is pure Cow... if he'd been in charge on the Titanic, forget "women and children first" it would have been, 'What's in your wallet?"
  20. Absolutely agree. It was poor form that UCLA and USC did it this way, as OK and Texas did with their move to the SEC. But if the news yesterday had been that Oregon had found a landing spot before the Pac-12 went under, I'd be happy. Oregon does have options, and would be an asset to any conference, the Pac-12 is "Dead Man Walking" now.
  21. This is great to see. That article posted a while ago and now this show Oregon being a national brand is not just us tossing it out there. Oregon would be an asset to any conference, it kept the Pac-12 afloat the last decade. I hope that Crepea is right , Mullens is busy talking with other conferences and maybe that "academic prowess" insititution could tag along, like UCLA is doing with USC
