  1. Calling the Beavers, "One of Oregon's biggest rivals". In their dreams.
  2. In the case of Bralen Kasper, his big brother is on the team, Josiah Molden is the son of former Duck, Alex Molden, his other son, Elija Molden, went to the Huskies. Chase Cota, son of Chad Cota originally played at UCLA, before transferring to Oregon. Akili Smith's son is a Duck. Are these offers to Kasper and Molden any more than symbolic?
  3. Doesn't "Vandy Quarterback" erase all credibility from the start?
  4. Bucs WR compares Bucky Irving to MVP finalist, Super Bowl champion WWW.YARDBARKER.COM During a recent chat with Ira Kaufman of JoeBucsFan.com, Sterling Shepard offered high praise for Tampa Bay's current RB1.
  5. No offense to our SEC folks here, but the SEC clinging to its 8 game schedule is offensive. It's boasting and arrogant, "We're so much better than everybody else". Finebaum's ranting is his job and is just noise. The 8 games is part of the competition, competition that is being swept over, with everything else in the pursuit of money. No SEC fan can laugh at Diego's comments too loudly if they condone the 8 game schedule.
  6. Vanderbilt QB Diego Pavia jabbing Big Ten seems laughable WWW.YARDBARKER.COM The Big Ten has long been considered the second-best conference in college football behind the SEC.
  7. Yeah, Beaver Nation was going crazy after they tied it up, but they left runs on the bases and Louisville made them pay for it. Oh well, football is coming up, Beavs.
  8. Would have been incredible. I KNOW the Lady Ducks would have won the basketball Natty in 2020, and I'm positive that Dixon would have won the Heisman and the Ducks would have won their FIRST football Natty in 2007...
  9. By now we all know the first pick doesn't mean as much as it used to. But I WANT this guy! The No. 1 Cornerback in America Brandon Arrington is down to two heavyweight programs SATURDAYBLITZ.COM The Summer has brought about a recruiting frenzy as official visits have started a domino effect on the recruiting trail with the...
  10. It works like that, BAD>good.
  11. "Follow the Money" "Absolute corrupts absolutely" "Greed is Good"
  12. Yes, he was. They capped off the season with a win over Florida State. 35-28 in the Music City Bowl.
  13. From Wikipedia: At Oregon, Moore played wide receiver and wingback as a sophomore in 1969 and made the all-conference team.[12] He moved to running back, where he was an All-American in 1971—in the same backfield with quarterback Dan Fouts.[1] In his final season with the Ducks (1971), he rushed for 1,211 yards, caught 32 passes for 324 yards, and scored 10 touchdowns. He finished his three seasons of college football with 2,036 rushing yards, 131 receptions for 1,565 yards, and 36 touchdowns.[13] At the time Moore left Oregon, his rushing yards, receptions, and 226 points were all school records.[14]
  14. Can't argue about DAT's legacy. I still remember the day he announced he was coming to Oregon. To borrow the name, he was the Trail Blazer, not only for the pipeline Oregon still enjoys from LA, but yes, players from all over watched DAT play and wanted to do be like DAT!
  15. Remember the halcyon days of college football? Sure, we laugh at the Huskies and their split 'ship in '91, but that was a great team, and there were split champs before and after, controversy raged. Good times. The money problem, ignored by the NCAA, of coaches getting big bucks and going wherever and whenever they wanted while the student-athlete couldn't get a job festered until where it is now. The NCAA figured the football player should not get NIL money if the Art major didn't, they're both student/athletes.
  16. Oklahoma State went 30-25 last season. This of course has Perloff completely bamboozled. Sources: Oregon pitching coach Blake Hawksworth expected to leave for Oklahoma State
  17. First, calling it the Pac-12 is wrong! But OBD is in the B1G10, and that doesn't work anymore either, so whatever. It looks like it will be competitive, should be a lot of fighting for that coveted On the CW Primetime game.
  18. Rich Brooks did the heavy lifting, but did get the field named after him, so that's right. Bellotti-Kelly, still see 2007 as the closet OBD got to a Natty. Agree on the Lanning-Meyer comparison.
  19. Sankey really thinks that involving other conferences at all just clutter things up. The last two seasons should be vacated due to lack of SEC participation.
  20. Not exactly "The Conference of Champions"
  21. DAT has become immortal in the sense that his speed is how every player is measured. If OBD can ever get a player that fast, who can play RB and receiver...!!! Maybe the next would block better? I'd put Ahmad Rashad (Bobby Moore) from that time.
  22. Can't keep the teams straight, Omaha and Oklahoma City both start with O, it is a lot to ask. I remember Perloff from the "Dan Patrick Show" absent minded then, appears to still be.
  23. That's what I came up with, at Oregon I'd go 1. Marcus Mariota 2. LaMichael James 3, Haloti Ngata
