So, the Backup QB is...Austin Novosad?
Moore got solid reps against Beavis. If they want to preserve his RS then he has only 3 more games. Why waste one of those for one handoff and a kneel down. They may want to get him in when he can go a couple of series.

New Uniform For Michigan State?
Here’s the story behind the uniforms for the game on Friday night. It’s worth your time.

Was That an Unsatisfying Three-Touchdown B1G Road Win to YOU?
This team can’t seem to put together four solid quarters of football. They had a great 2nd half against Beavis and almost a great first half in this game. They’re a really good team, but not great yet. Great teams don’t let 98 yard pick six’s happen with 15 seconds to go in the half when they’re in scoring position. They find a way to make it 35-3. It doesn’t matter that Tez slipped. It was a bad decision by Gabriel as Addison was in position to make a play. After watching the slate of yesterday’s games, Oregon is ranked right where they should be. They’re not in the same class as Bama, Ohio State, Texas or even UGA despite how they played in the first half. The good thing is that we’re still in the first month of a long season.

Let's Discuss! CFB College Football GameDay (All Other Games on 9-28)
I think ESPN jumped the gun with this Gameday announcement. Then I looked at the schedule. I know they had Clemson/FSU on their radar, but that’s going to be a blowout.

Jeanty doing Jeanty things. That guy is unreal. If he isn’t invited to the Heisman presentation it would be a shame.

I’ve got it on. It’s a really good game if you’re not a fan of the forward pass.

It seems that a lot of favored teams are not playing well today. I’m not really that confident in a Ducks beat down in the Rose Bowl tonight. I guess I’ll see what happens in the morning since I’m on the East Coast.

I’m sure Kirby will be calm and collected at halftime. Bama will be ranked #1 for sure after this.

UGA looks intimidated. Their defensive looks lost and Milroe is doing whatever he wants. This is going to be a bloodbath. It reminds me of the 2021 Oregon/Utah games.

One thing I’ve noticed about most of the fans in the SEC is they love to shake their little pom poms. I wonder if they’re issued at the entrance to the stadium. I know Gamecock fans only wave towels. They get them handed to them as they enter the stadium.

USC stuffs Wisconsin on 4th and 1 in USC territory. However, if the QB pulls the ball he scores.

Fake Injuries: Who Needs Time-Outs Anymore?
Ugly win with horrible FG kicking on both sides. However, Oregon burned the last 9 minutes with a long drive then kneeled out the clock down near Cal’s goal line.

Colorado’s O-Line has shown much improvement against UCF. Sanders has time to throw and they’re running the ball very well.

How Far Does Miami Drop?
If everyone in the top 10 wins (except UGA or Bama) then they might drop 2 spots. I can guarantee you one thing. The loser of Bama/UGA will not be ranked behind them and will most likely not drop out of the top 6.

Washington vs. Rutgers: "Good-or-Good?"
I’m pretty sure Fisch will be in Seattle for a while. Florida will target a guy with SEC experience who is also a great recruiter. Fortunately, there’s a guy down in Orlando named Gus Malzahn who fits the bill perfectly. He has established recruiting relationships in Florida as well as the rest of SEC country. Gus was able to last at Auburn for quite a while, so he knows how to deal with dysfunctional boosters and administrators. The question is will he want to go through that again?

Bear Alexander Leaving the Trojans
$1 says he ends up in Corvallis. Seriously though, I was listening to Dusty Dvoracek this morning and he said he would never let Bear anywhere near his locker room if he were a HC. That's saying something coming from a guy like Dusty. He was known to start a public donnybrook or two back in his day.

Cam Ward Has Turned Miami Into a Contender...
Every now and then a coach happens into a transcendent QB who overshadows his shortcomings. Great coaches can ride a great QB to multiple championships (see Walsh, Landry, Noll, Belichik, et al). Outstanding coaches can win multiple championships with different QB’s (see Gibbs, Parcels and Seifert).
