Since there is no one dominant team out there...I feel that Oregon has as a good as shot as anyone. We have talent and depth, but to me...we still have a ways to go.

Our defense can be run on, but the points given up are not that much. But it is not elite...yet? Dante Moore throws a ton of very accurate throws, but misses some that he shouldn't--right?

And c'mon...how do you get up for Beavis?

But we could be fully ready by the end of the season...

He seemed rattled/out of sorts to start the game like his memories of his last game vs Beavs got into his head too much. I appreciate your assessment! Next week will be a huge test for OBD to pass!

Moore is very good, but there is room for improvement. I’m recalling the short pass to Gary Bryant in the right flat that was thrown much harder than he needed to.

Bryant turned, coming out of the break and the ball was there…..and he didn’t catch it. Just a little more touch on that throw and it would have been an easy grab.

I am very impressed with Moore. He seems very much in control out there and I think that boosts the confidence of everyone else.

We have a week to go to the Doctor. All in all I think we look pretty good -Run D will improve.

No.

I know the eye test is also a good measure, but statistically our D vs the run is quite good. We held OSU to 2.6 a carry. Take away one run vs the reserves we held NWU to 2.8 a carry. I'm not sure what we want. No one stuffs every run every time.

We have a big test coming up vs Penn St. But let's look at this another way, Penn St. has a big test coming up vs OBD. Frankly I haven't been that impressed with Penn St. so far considering their opposition.

This will be a big step up in competition for both teams. I'm liking our chances.

So far, Oregon has done what they were expected to do. The Oklahoma State game was an anomaly. It looked like a great win but the Cowboys showed their true colors last night. Next week will be a great test in a hostile environment. I hope Oregon doesn’t start slow. Playing catch-up in Beaver Stadium is a tall task.

Natty ready? As in, are we under, or overrated?

This is a good team. Always tough to judge how good, against teams where we are favored by 4 to 5 touchdowns.

So far, we are not relying heavily on one receiver, or running back. Eight players caught passes today, with Sadiq having the most with four receptions. We ran 45 times, and Limar had the largest load with 12 carries.

We were faced with 3rd and long too many times today, and the 3rd down conversion rate was low, based on the quality of the defense we faced.

Next week we will get a clearer picture of whether we are a viable contender.

No.

It all comes down to how our two lines play, if they step up their game we can play with just about anyone, if they don't improve we'll struggle against the elite teams.

They have to start throwing their weight around and get better with their technique, too many mistakes to survive against the teams that are in the top 15.

I'll also be interested to see how our game calling evolves.
