Speaking of which - Georgia could've scored considerably more in OBD beatdown, but IMHO Kirby Smart was just having mercy on his former DC and let his foot off the gas in the later stages of the game lol. Nevada Dawg No. 30 Share Posted January 10, 2023 Kirby was actually trying to shorten the game after Bennett came out by handing the ball off repeatedly to the 4th string running back, freshman Branson Robinson. Somebody forgot to tell Branson to go easy and he scored two rushing touchdowns. TCU was so gassed by this point in the game that the most humane thing to do might have been to repeatedly go into victory formation--which could have been almost construed as tacky and condescending with nearly 10 minutes left in the 4th Quarter. Most years it's very clear who the top 2-4 teams are. Some years you need a 5th, but rarely ever do you need 6. The only way 12 teams is good for CFB is if the football talent spreads out across the country now that there are more paths to the playoffs and 2007 type parity returns to the sport. 1 Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
