First Coaching Domino Falls: Franklin to VT
I warned Penn State fans, when I was at State College: "Be careful of what you wish for--Nebraska got rid of their reliable winning coach for the same reason." VT just wants to be in bowls and the playoff conversation for at least 12 years...

Oregon's Uniform Reveal vs. Trojans
I'm tired of so much black, but I must say, they do look bad as. However, like most of us around here, I love Oregon's green and yellow and would sure like to see more of it. But, at the end of the day, all I really care about is what do young recruits, and our players, like.

Oregon Football: Will USC Keep It Close?
This game will be close for the first 3 quarters... something like Oregon 28-24. Oregon offense will have then ground them down by the 4Q, and then we will just run the ball down their throats. OBD wins, 42-24. But hey, don't quote me on this... unless I get it even remotely right. 😄

Penn State Targeting DeBoer
It might be a better cultural fit tbh. I've heard that the focus was on Chesney from James Madison, but then I've also heard they were interested in Brian Hartline. Honestly, I'm ready for this silly season to come to an end. It's gotten to the point where it feels like stalking, with family members being tracked visiting their kids on campus. Potential houses going on, or off the market. Tracking planes, trains, or automobiles like some weirdos.

Oregon's Uniform Reveal vs. Trojans
Yes, but that also means the DB's could lose them in coverage.

Penn State Targeting DeBoer
Sports Illustrated has written an article and Dusty and Danny talked about it this morning on SXM College Sports Radio (Ch. 84). The OU loss is probably helping this along, but the only scenario where I see him leaving is if he loses to Auburn and the Bama administration sees it as a good chance to unload him without paying his buyout. However, in this new CFB environment, nothing surprises me. Perhaps the Bruins aren't going Fisching? Captain Bob Chesney, a guy who has only navigated in Atlantic waters, replaces the Skipper. Hmmmm? Perhaps the AD and not the B1G Bruins boosters should be making the hire? Spot On, KK, and would you have it any other way? 🤬🤬🤬 Dave Marsh suggested we come up with a trophy for the SC game. How about the Horse -💩💩💩Trophy? BTW - if California is oh so great, why are so many residents fleeing the Tarnished Golden State and moving to a Gargage Pile? 😁😁😁 I credit Georgia and Georgia Tech for having an up-front and honest name for their rivalry game, 'Clean, Old Fashioned Hate'. 👹 Truck the Trojans!

First Coaching Domino Falls: Franklin to VT
DM - Miami's most significant win came in the opener, 27-24 over Notre Dame. Miami also has wins over the ranked at the time USF, and Florida when Billy Napier was still the head coach. All wins at home. The Canes suffered a home loss to now unranked Louisville and on the road at SMU. Carson Beck had four interceptions against Louisville. SMU was a late-game meltdown. SMU only won due to a stupid post-whistle roughing the passer penalty by Miami. Miami has two road games left to play. This Saturday at VA Tech, and the regular season final game at Pitt. Miami still has a shot at the ACC title game, especially if Pitt can defeat Georgia Tech on Saturday. I think it's ridiculous for the PO committee to have 10-2 Notre Dame ranked 9th and 10-2 Miami 13th because, per the committee chair, 'ND has better losses.' A head-to-head loss is a 'better loss?' Everything in CFB has morphed toward the NFL except for the manner in which the PO is chosen and seeded. Tony Petitti's proposed PO format would take the majority of teams selected for the PO field out of the committee's hands.

Cristobal and Franklin are two sides of the same coin. Cristobal has shown he can win those big top 10 match ups. Think Oregon v Ohio State and then lose to an unranked team in the most embarrassing way possible... Think Oregon losing to Stanford in the same season. You can make the same comparisons with this year's Miami team I just don't remember the wins and losses off the top of my head. Franklin wins the games he's supposed to and loses the top 10 big games. If they could put the two together they'd have a darn good coach.

Oregon Moves Up to No. 7 in CFP Rankings
I feel like the seeding and format still need to be tweaked. Oregon should've gotten a home game in round two. They also should've gotten the lowest rated opponent, I realize Ohio State was the lowest seed. But we all knew they were rated ahead of Boise and ASU. The CFP needs to give the highest rated team in round two, the lowest remaining seed. The NFL does this, so if the 12 seed, 11 seed, 10 seed, or 9 seed beats their opponent, they need to be sent to the appropriate opponent. If Oregon wins as the sixth seed, and North Texas beats Texas Tech. North Texas needs to be sent to a higher rated opponent.

Oregon's Uniform Reveal vs. Trojans
My personal druthers tend to agree with TD’s assessment, but I also want to think that uniform choice - especially for high profile games - is primarily calculated on Nike and AD interview responses with high school athletes regarding the Oregon uniform characteristics they prefer. Otherwise, you could easily end up looking like Maryland did a few years back.

Hello My OBD FishDuck Forum Friends! What is your prediction of Oregon versus USC? Take your shot and let's have fun with it... Let's get these predictions started, and remember I look for the differential between your predicted points with both teams from the actual points. I will use the tiebreaker information when needed, so provide all the data below! Entries without ALL the information are invalid, and predictions on other threads don't count. We Have Two New Rules: If two winning scores are tied, and tiebreakers tie? The first one who posted wins, automatically. TerryM9 gets 42-6 locked in every time as his. (I love this guy!) Please follow directions, as I need all that is below for tiebreakers: --the winner --the score --the amount of turnovers Oregon creates --the number of sacks Oregon records on the opposing team --the number of passing yards by the Ducks. My prediction is: Oregon 38-24 1 2 251
