  1. IMHO, I think greed is to blame for the whole mess. Greedy networks, greedy Universities, greedy boosters, and greedy coaches. The NIL is just greedy lawyers trying to get more for themselves and for some of the greedy players they represent. I think the majority of the players would have been fine (and played just as hard) with the way it was before, but will happily accept anything the NIL process throws their way.
  2. The traitorous university of spoiled children this year did what I thought no team could ever do. They actually crawled deep enough into the slime-ball gutter to come in lower than the prostitute purple and hooker gold clad mongrels from the north. Go Utes, destroy the condoms. Give them the fist of four defeats to end their season hopes. I want to see the bears, the bruins, and the golden domers all hand the rubbers a big L.
  3. KD is definitely deserving of this award, and could have gotten it for the Stanford game, making it B2B for the Arizona game!
  4. Correct me if I am wrong, but wasn't Mari-no-O the one who showed that Oregon could recruit top tier recruits? Something that previous coaches just assumed could not be done?
  5. Charles, First of all, you are neither petty nor little! What you are, is a HUGE Duck fan who has gone so far above and beyond what any other Duck fan has done, it is incredible and beyond words to describe. You have created and maintained a civil forum (with decorum) where like minded Duck fans can come to peacefully and safely learn more about OBD. I cannot thank you enough. As far as the multitudes out there that think they have to tear someone else down, so they can feel better about themselves? Delete their comments and don’t lose any sleep over it. People posting poorly don’t need you (or your moderators) to babysit their bad behavior. When they go back and see their comment is gone, they should understand that the deleted comment fell short of the desired decorum. This is YOUR playground Charles, and YOU let us play in it. Your rules are clear, and the civility and safety they create keeps most of us coming back. Personally, I have deleted many of my would be posts, simply because I read them a final time while thinking of the old adage “If you can’t say something nice, don’t say anything at all,” before I click “Submit Reply.” My final comment? Well done Sir Charles, and THANK YOU!
  6. As long as OBD don’t let it go to their heads. These “projections” are meaningless, our boys need to prove it on the field of play. Chip’s Traitors looked better than decent against the Utes, and cannot be taken lightly. If DL and company can keep OBD coached up and fired up to play to their potential and keep improving at least 1% every week, we will be one tough team to deal with.
  7. I personally like this pink better than the “egg shell” from the Arizona game! I’d go so far as to say it is even better than the pinks of recent years.
  8. Thanks for breaking that play down coach! I really like how it sets up as a sequential play that confuses the socks off the Defense.
  9. No offense FanGirlDuck, but the Arizona uniform makes me like the Stanford uniform all the more! The seagull sh*t splatter on light grey turns my stomach. I think I will listen to the game on the radio so I don’t get sick watching. My only hope is the Ducks play better than they look.
  10. Those are the absolute most hideous uniforms I have ever had the misfortune of viewing. There was a thread last week asking about the uniforms worn for the Stanford game. At least those uniforms had Duck colors. This light grey with seagull sh*t splatters is ghastly at best, and contains no color associated with the U of O. IMHO anyway.
  11. I am just ecstatic the he is Miami’s problem and not ours! I’d guess he completes this year and two more before being sent packing.
  12. I’m sorry, but a coach would have to be a complete idiot to take a job where winning 70% of your games gets you fired. Why the heck would anybody set themselves up for that? Talk about impossible expectations….
  13. I love it! Cold, Calculated Indifference while steamrolling you opponent. That is a far more demoralizing statement than showboating will ever be.
  14. Never have cared for it. Especially when it is a defensive back jumping around like a sap when he didn't do anything to make the play, the receiver dropped it or the QB missed the throw. I long for the days of “give the ball to the ref and move on to the next play.”
  15. Well, the uni combinations have become a part of the Ducks culture and are aimed at a much younger set than I hail from. I like the solid colors (all green, all yellow, all white, all black) the best. I like the apple green, the forest green, the lightning yellow, and the ice white colors. I did not like the greys, the throwback blues, the eggshell greys, or orange socks. At least we saw green and yellow! I agree with David Marsh that yellow helmets would have looked better.
  16. While I despise the mutts and am unable to wish them to win, in this case, I (like Charles) will enjoy seeing the Ducks dash their hopes and destroy their dreams later in the year. That, and having a PAC North team trounce one of the traitors gives me reason to root for a bruin loss. In previous years, this would not have been the case.
  17. Great articles over the last couple days! Thanks to DnC and Mr. FD for your outstanding analysis. It will only increase my viewing pleasure going forward. That said, my hope is the DL/Dilly Offense continues its trajectory, and eclipses all records set by the CK/MH Offenses. I also want to see the DL/JT Defense grow beyond BDB to a Stone Wall front with a Lock Down secondary that creates Havoc with opposing offenses while shutting them down completely. We may be a year or two out, but this staff and their recruits have the potential to produce the best Duck teams we have ever seen.
  18. I too, thought it was tipped, and looking at the replay confined it. Surprised the announcers didn’t notice…
  19. I am surprised that is took till the 4th quarter to score the boatload of points needed to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat! I would have been much happier to see touchdowns scored on each trip to the red zone. Their pick-six was on a tipped pass, and I will reluctantly give them that, but it should have been 21-17 Ducks at the half. Instead we got to go clear to the last half of the last quarter praying WSU would somehow ‘Coug it” for us. (I feel like the Mase Funa pick-six was karmic payback. It definitely brought me to my feet in a happy dance!) It did feel more like we took it from them, more so than they gave it to us. I feel the Ducks outplayed them and deservedly won this one, but what an emotional roller coaster this game was!
  20. Good ponder point DuckIt, I have wondered the same myself. I was positive the NS and JF would have lit it up by now, but so far, I couldn’t have been more wrong…
  21. I am absolutely for live streaming PAC 12 games. I am quite frankly, fed up with ESPN and their BS. I have boycotted having cable tv for well over a decade. I enjoy streaming NFL Thursday Night Football and have no lagging issues. I would live stream PAC 12 football (or basketball or track & field) in a heartbeat!
  22. David, you bring up a very good (and valid) point. I have long felt Oregon was doing a disservice to the young QBs who chose UO, and that it would at some point start to discourage promising young QBs from choosing Oregon. IMHO, the win now attitude has become prevalent in every sport, to the detriment of all. It is not limited to the fans, but includes boosters, ADs, even players.
