  1. Until, Mullens sits in front of cameras, I ain't buying the Bridge to "No where" they trying to sell. All it's doing is causing issues with TRUST. We have enough of that in Politics and Media already, Do not need no more.
  2. Honestly, Chip at Oregon, without Erin Andrews, has Disaster Written all over it. I read that from another thread about Erin.
  3. I think this class is busted. I can not blame them, the coaches that recruited them, for the most part, are gone or going. And it is NOT like they know how they maybe used, until a HC is hired and coaching positions filled. Hopefully, we do not suffer major transfer exodus. Student athletes should know that Oregon will bring in the best position coaches possible. I still believe in Feld and hope the Oregon, Nike connection is strong in him. I am surprised that Joe Salave'a, was not mentioned as being considered for interim coach, considering his time here and titles/Associate HC, Co-Coordinator positions. And with so many staff finding other positions, so soon. Something does NOT smell right. Cristobal, was supposed to be a sudden job switch but everyone and their brothers coach, got new gigs???? Makes you wonder why everyone is fleeing a 10-3 team, I get Mario but. . . Too good to be true?
  4. Oregon played Iowa State in Jan 2021 and lost, Jan 2020 was Rose Bowl Win against Wisconsin. Mario been squeaking by for four years. Good luck to him at Miami. Now lets get us some Offense and Defense!
  5. JJ, I know how you feel about Chip, I was just poking the bear, making a joke, Too early on Friday, sorry if I offended you. I trust Oregon, will get the hire right and we can enjoy, some Football Offense for all the talent, still on the team. But even though his team was stout, it should not have even been close with the talent and coaching we should have had. It is amazing, how much credit a coach is given for barely winning and not judged on the quality of the win. By the way, I get why you used him as an example, it is justified, he almost pulled it off, that is why Riley will be great for USC.
  6. JJ, I have a hard time thinking of the UW guy being a Duck. Can you see it on ESPN, Welcome to tonights game with Kellys Bruins vs DeBoerings Ducks, snooze at eleven.
  7. I sensed the Wool was being pulled over our eyes, As we got beat by the Utes TWICE and not in such a keen way. The last time this happened Taggart was announced as the Coach, I am a little gun shy now, to be honest. I just hope that WHOM ever is coach, they will excite us with great play and a team we can be proud of, staff and students. Santa, You hearing This, No Coal in the stockings this year, give us some Christmas Joy and Holiday Cheer. Our team is going to the Alamo Bowl.
  8. I keep seeing Trailers of Slick Willie 2 Curse of FSU. Getting all my VooDoo stuff out of the closet, right now.
  9. Get back here Lane, you done this to Tennessee! I just like the story of USC Kiffin it!
  10. At least at Oregon, he will have good shoes for the walk home.
  11. Finding out Kiffin used Ole Miss for $$$$ Leverage
  12. I heard, through my grape wine, that Kiffin asked, Just how far the Airport was to the school. He had yet to respond back.
  13. If I recall, Aliotti(sorry Nick, spelled it wrong in above post), left to coach in the NFL and at UCLA before his return to Oregon. For what Nick had to coach with he did better than DeRuyter. Aliotti is a great example of a coach that left Oregon to return and to be as good as if not better than when he left. Chip is repackaged as in UC in LA, he gained a better perspective of average. There are people with torches and pitchforkes in Oregon, that think he has not changed. But it is obvious UC in LA's record, there is a difference between being a Duck and Bruin. Come on Chip, Duck that Bear. I love me some Chip with Salsa.
  14. Rich Brooks 18 years 91 wins - 109 losses - 4 Ties .456% winning Mike Bellotti 14 years 116 wins - 55 losses .678% winning Chip Kelly 4 years 46 wins - 7 losses .868% winning Mark Helfrich 4 years 37 wins - 16 losses .698% winning Willie Taggart 1 year 7 wins - 5 losses .583% winning Mario Cristobal 4 years 35 wins - 13 losses .729% winning Chip may have left for a bigger dream but the guy could lead a winning program. There was enough in the tank, players coached and influenced by Kelly, to guide Helf and Frost for the next two years. It is obvious that Chip and Helf, to some extent Frost benefited from the coaching continuity of the log term coaches on staff. Plus of the next man up in coaching until that became depleted. The loss of Allioti and Frost were big negatives in my opinion and Helf was not up to the task of fixing that and restocking the recruiting cupboards.
  15. I looked on Craigslist and could not find anybody of value, that link is not as reliable as it used to be. Just sayn. Fickle kids.
  16. I was noticing how people said, you stay for the school, not the coach but I do not think that is realistic. Coaches tell the student and their parents this is what we see with your child. And they are sold, until the LOI is signed and your child is holding a clipboard, fetching coach coffee. I could be wrong. Kind of like what happened to Mycah Pittman, in my view. The kid balled out his freshman year until he broke his arm, wrist, got hurt. And I must say, things with WR was such a mess, hardly saw Redd playing(injuries?). And Yes, he could have handled things better but my own son says stupid stuff makes me wanna send him to a corner and he's 19!
  17. I could see things happening like this "I will consider it, if you let me Revive the Three Duckegoes- The Chipster, Helfritos and Frostcheetos, the Blurs prodigal sons. We shall call it Oregons Chip N Dips.
  18. I hope, that young man gets a chance to play good minutes, otherwise AB will be a seventh year senior brought in by Cristobal, that knows how to lead an offense. Take that to the bank.
  19. Yea, I remember there was some, issues when his brother went to USC. And I have to give credit to USC for going with a winner in Riley. Especially since the previous coaches have been quite disappointing. There is hope at USC. And we can NOT be the old USC of the North, UDub is taking that title. No Worries LADuck, when our Winner of a Coach comes in, I expect Battle Royals with USC and it will be Good for the Conference.
  20. If you had a serious illness or episode or know someone who did, it might give you a "get with God" moment. Where you evaluate what is really important. My father used to tell me all about his dreams of traveling, he and my mom would do once he retired at 65. How important it was to plan and save so you can finance those dreams in the future. Sadly, he died of a massive heart attack 18 months before his retirement, never to realize those dreams. There needs to be balance. I wish Joe well in his dreams.
  21. Anyone else think that we may have had the wrong Culture going at Oregon. Coaches and recruits that believe in a Coach and not the School, what kind of message is Oregon selling? Maybe, we should think about that as Oregon is looking at its next hire. Altman, Graves and Lombardi have had some issues but I do not see anyone with "Down with Coach Signs" when there seems to be some struggle. I am OK with some leaving because the coach(s) are gone, it's about chemistry, fit to an idea, scheme. A lot of athletes are told how they are seen in a system and sold by the coaches on an idea. The only REAL success I have seen, IMHO, has been elite athletes that knew what they wanted and Did the work themselves. Penei, KT, Brady Breeze, Justin Herbert, although I have seen Dorlus and DJ Johnson step up, like Nobodies Business. The Front six of the Defense, DL and LB groups have been well coached. Hate the idea of losing those two coaches.
