  1. How did Jonathan Smith lie? I’m not on Twitter, or X, but if he in fact made those comments, he was telling the truth, not lying. And when he commented to Canzano that his agent was checking things out, wasn’t that the truth?
  2. I would like to help but I'm binge watching Bosch Legacy right now.
  3. If Bama beats Georgia, what does that mean for one loss Texas, which beat Alabama? Will the selection committee show any love for the Pac-12…..as it crumbles and dies?
  4. Daniels’ numbers are phenomenal. But…….if Nix has a great game AND the Ducks beat Washington on Friday, I think Bo wins it. His phenomenal TD pass to Franklin against the Beavs, a 60-yard across the body rainbow, was a “wow” moment that may in the end be the difference. A Heisman moment to be sure.
  5. What happens if Bama beats Georgia? Michigan Bama Georgia ? If Oregon wins on Friday, does that secure the 4th spot? A Husky win would certainly put them in the playoff……at No.2 most likely. Then what?
  6. Well, we know his draft stock won’t be any higher next year, so why stay? And if the primary concern is that as a top pick he could end up with a bad team, that concern will be there next year, too. He’ll take the money…..
  7. Beg to differ. I think having the head coach on the sideline is important, especially as it pertains to Harbaugh and Saturday’s game against Ohio State. While the coordinators make the calls, the head coach often consults, and sometimes overrules his assistants. It would be a huge boon to the Wolverines if Harbaugh were to be on the sideline Saturday. And if Michigan loses at the Big House, Harbaugh’s absence will surely be cited as a contributing factor.
  8. Of course they stand a chance. And I hope our players acknowledge that as well. The last thing we want is over-confidence heading into a game with such massive consequences.
  9. The DUCKS have given up a ton of yards through air, but that’s primarily due to teams playing catch-up because they are so far behind.
  10. I think it stinks……
  11. What an expensive miscalculation…..giving Jimbo a 4 year extension just two years ago.
  12. Great article, David I love your stuff……so well thought out and stated You are such a great asset to this board.
  13. Oil money. They’ll get that out of the change jar…….and have plenty left to pay Oregon the $20 million exit fee.
  14. If you ignore the penalties, you’re ignoring the elephant in the room. This needs to be fixed. A very uneven performance by the Ducks. Hopefully it won’t happen, but I wouldn’t be surprised if the Ducks take a dip in the rankings. At this point in the season it’s a beauty contest, and the Ducks don’t want to end up being Miss Congeniality. Very fortunate that Bucky is fine, and we have Bo, who is inching closer to the Heisman. What a fabulous pickup up he has been.
  15. A close Husky win benefits Oregon the most, providing the Ducks win out AND beat Washington in the PAC-12 championship game.
  16. “A great season can be ruined by a single slip-up.” We’ve see that happen here, too.
  17. Regardless of the familial connection, Tez is a major upgrade over Hutson as a receiver.
  18. I had no problem with Williams crying in his mother’s arms after the Husky game. To me, it just humanizes him. Doesn’t make him any less of a person or a football player.
  19. I gotta admit I was shocked when Tez let that pass go through his hands on the Ducks’ first play. He has proven to be the Ducks’ most sure handed receiver - in light of Franklin’s uncharacteristic recent drops - and this kid is a gamer. He responded big time. As opponents pay more attention Johnson, that will just provide more opportunities for Franklin and Ferguson. Tez has another year, so Hutson’s decision to redshirt is wise.
  20. Yes…..beat Cal and then continue the conversation. Looking too far ahead can be disastrous.
  21. Let’s don’t get ahead of ourselves….they have to destroy Cal first……and that may not be a walkover.
  22. And Bo was “balls on accurate” today!
  23. Agree…….and Baseball is a helluva lot safer.
  24. Reluctant to put this out there, but I regularly root for Michigan…….my daughter went to law school there and my grandson is a freshman, so I am somewhat obligated. That said, I rooted heartily for the Ducks when they beat Michigan twice a few years ago……and I’ll never forget the sight of Dennis Dixon prancing into the end zone as the Michigan defense looked bewildered. And as a Cal alum, I occasionally cheer for the Golden Bears, but not with the same exuberance I exhibit when cheering on the Ducks……unless they’re playing Stanford.
