Well, Lanning probably has a list of potential coaches for every position, so fingers crossed the new guy will make us all (fans, players) happy. 🙂

Angry Beavers? "Mr. FishDuck Got Pranked Pretty Well..."
Have to say I'm not a fan of pranks, and think that one was pretty stinky. Fortunately, Charles, you are savvy enough to have known just how to handle it and put out the fire. Good for you.

Please: End the Wave at Autzen
The fact that for some reason the Duck fans usually try to start the wave when the Oregon offense is on the field rather than the defense, is one reason I don't join in. That, and the whole husky thing.

ESPN, Warner Bros and Fox are Teaming up for Sports Streaming
I watch football and March Madness, and some golf. That's it for sports. Otherwise, I like to watch news (local and national), movies, PBS, HGTV, reruns of The Big Bang Theory and such. So, to me, $50 a month for sports is a lot of $$$.

Would TV Execs WORK with Taylor Swift...for Ratings?
I happen to enjoy the 10-30 seconds of Taylor Swift at Chiefs games.' Is it really all that different from showing Jack Nicholson or Spike Lee on the sidelines at basketball games? And I think it's way better than the days when the cameras would linger on some anonymous girl at a football game in a tight sweater while Brent Musburger verbally drooled over her. Now that was yucky!

From a Former Midwesterner: The Fun B1G Road Games
Ordinarily, my mother was not especially interested in football, except for Iowa games. However, she graduated from the nursing school there, had attended some games as a student, and so she cheered for Iowa during football season.

Trajen Odom Quick to Schedule Oregon Visit Following Offer
Dan Lanning and the Oregon Ducks have been all over the country this month recruiting the next great wave of high school talent. One of their latest offers earlier this month went out to 2025 Matthews (NC) Weddington defensive lineman Trajen Odom, who has been visited twice by the coaching staff. He spoke with Ducks Digest about the offer and the latest in his recruitment For Odom, Oregon has been one of the schools he's always hoped would come calling. "Oregon's actually been one of the schools I really liked growing up," he said. "As a kid it was more because of the brand and the uniforms, but as I got older, I've actually started to understand Oregon more and watched the games. They've been a great team. So I was just really excited and just happy. It's a team I've just been waiting to hear from and they finally came around." The 6-foot-5, 272-pound defensive lineman got to spend extensive time with head coach Dan Lanning when he and defensive backs coach Chris Hampton came to see him... The Survey for Possible Upgrades at Autzen
It's the opposite for me--my back hurts after standing for a while. My late husband had ataxia in his legs and couldn't stand for more than about 30 seconds at a time. He could walk, slowly, but standing was much more difficult. Different problems for different folks.

The Survey for Possible Upgrades at Autzen
I don't understand people who stand all the time. They can't see any better, and they block the people behind them. And from my experience, those people just stand, like fence posts, not cheering on third or fourth downs. Maybe there should be a section for people who want to stand for the whole game, and that would be the only place they'd be allowed to do that. 😉

Update: Current Verizon and Comcast/Xfinity Repairs and Costs for B1G Viewing
When games are on Peacock, I'll probably revert to the olden days and listen to the radio, unless/until my daughter and SIL move to Eugene and I watch with them. Or I suppose I could go to a pub/restaurant and order 87 diet colas to keep a seat throughout the game.
