  1. Pac-12 Fires Two Top Executives After Investigative Audit WWW.SI.COM The decision came after an investigation determined they failed to disclose overpayments by a distribution partner. Under Larry Scott's watch, of course.
  2. But of course, NIL is in no way paying players to come to a particular school...
  3. Well, I hope come the end of the season usc will be complaining again because Oregon will have prospered because of the so-called catering and gone on to win the PAC 12 Championship! Then we'll have the thrill of the trojans complaining some more.
  4. Oh, boo hoo-ey hoo for the trojans.I wonder if they'll like their schedules in the Big 10 any better.
  5. All of the above, plus someone who really wants to be here.
  6. Condolences to the entire Georgia family. Georgia Bulldogs football player, staff member killed in car crash WWW.FOX5ATLANTA.COM Police said 20-year-old Devin Willock was a passenger in a Ford Expedition that crashed on Barnett Shoals Road.
  7. Don't know why, but I felt a sinking feeling after the Jaguars scored near the end of the first half. Turned out the feeling was justified.
  8. Wow, Arkansas and Texas are not getting much bang for their bucks.
  9. Unless it was not totally his idea to leave....
  10. I think it's amazing! There's a small tattoo that I'd like to get, but it's the "ouch" factor that's holding me back.
  11. Here's what a nurse I know said--she didn't see the game, but of course has read about it and seen the story on TV. These are just her thoughts. Her first thought was "that the blow to the chest induced ventricular fibrillation – an often fatal cardiac arrhythmia. This could happen to anybody who sustains a strong chest hit. Paradoxically, a second strong chest blow, administered immediately, can sometimes restore normal rhythm. Otherwise, mechanical defibrillation is needed to shock the heart back to normal rhythm." I believe they did use a defribrillator.
  12. I wonder if he has a previously undiagnosed heart condition or something like that.
  13. While it would have been good if the Ducks had led all the way and won by the 14-point spread, it was more exciting, heart-thumping, and memorable they way they got the victory in this Holiday Bowl!
  14. Yes! I was at that game and it was so exciting and satisfying. 95% of the TX fans were obnoxious and so sure they were going to win, and before the game Texas kept saying how the Holiday Bowl was going to launch their run to the national championship the following season....
  15. I don't think there were any false starts. Also, I don't think there were any personal fouls (late hits, targeting). Is this right? If it is true, I'd definitely like to see this trend continue. I think there were a couple of pass interference calls, but so often the PI is better than allowing the catch.
  16. I think I broke the world record for holding one's breath for most of the second half of that game! I thought maybe the hacky-sack interception was going to be the difference, but the Ducks came to life and charged back. Whew! And Go Ducks!
  17. I hope that due to a large fourth quarter lead we get to see lots of backups get their chance and to excel when they do.
  18. It's a Wonderful Life is one of 6 Christmas movies I watch every year.
  19. Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays/Joyous Solstice to all! I'll be celebrating tomorrow, when my daughter and S-I-L can join me.
