So What Were the Picks for the Oregon-Utah Game on ESPN?
Annie replied to Annie's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Thanks! -
ESPN froze, at least at my house, so I miss the final picks! What happened? And did Corso show for the final pick?

A few I've figured out: In the back row, I think the man on the left is Michael Schwartz, who is a friend of RB and who used to be on the field keeping RB's headset cord from getting tangled, and he owns M. Jacobs and other furniture stores in Eugene. Then it's Nick Aliotti, ?, Rich Brooks, Mark Kearns (I think), ?, Mike Bellotti, Neal Zoumboukos, maybe Pat Conrad (long-time equipment manager) Sitting: ?, Steve Greatwood, ?, ? (Name tag looks like Dwight something, but I can't really tell), ? Anyone recognize any of the question marks?

I Should NOT Enjoy USC Fans' Misery So Much....

And the two bottles of Power Juice aren't talking. -
The 2.5 to 3.5 minute ad breaks give me time to hit the concession stand, restroom, stretch my legs. The problem, of course, is that there are far too many ad breaks! I always think of that scene in A Christmas Story where Ralphie has just cracked the secret code and he discovers that it is just another "crummy commercial."

If it's away games, 9:00 am here works fine for me. I'm up watching Game Day at 6:00 am anyway. Now if it is Oregon versus UW, USC, or UCLA playing at 9:00 am our time in Eugene, I can do that (I live in Eugene, so no long drive for me), but it would make for a hectic morning to leave the house at 7:30 am.

Nicoise potato salad has, in addition to potatoes, ingredients such as green beans, gem lettuces, black olives, plum tomatoes, tuna. It is a salad, but to me it is not real potato salad. I enjoy macaroni salad too, but I let someone else make that while I stick to potato salad. Also, I've had what some people call potato salad that is just boiled potatoes with oil and vinegar and not much else. I mean, no mayo???!!!

Haven't tailgated in years, since way back when it was easy to drive to and park at Autzen. A bunch of us from the neighborhood would each bring something, and I always brought my favorite, potato salad. I used my mother's recipe for it, because whenever we had class get-togethers in high school, everyone asked for my Mom's potato salad. It is real, old-fashioned potato salad, none of that Nicoise stuff.

Wall Street Journal on Oregon vs Washington
Annie replied to Santa Rosa Duck's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
I was listening to 95.3 in the car around 1 pm and whoever was on talked about the Duck-uw game and was full of praise for the excitement and closeness of the game, and for Dan Lanning. I thought I could find the program by googling, in order to post that part, but couldn't find it. So if anyone can find the program and at what point the game was discussed, I'll happily give you a quart of happiness.- 1 reply

While I was disappointed at some of DL’s decisions, as I think about it, different ones might not necessarily have led to a win, as WA may have done something different in response.
-
It would be great to see the Ducks go to the PAC 12 championship game and beat the dawgs, especially after I heard a husky fan on a call-in talk show say that WA now "owns" the Ducks.
-
It was a very exciting game, for sure. I just heard radio-talk-show-host Jody Mack say that he wished the game had gone into overtime, just because it was such an exciting game and he wanted more.

Let’s Do It: GameDay Thread vs. Washington!
Annie replied to Charles Fischer's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Okay, I've never played nor coached a millisecond of football, but I still say take the points! (Assuming the Ducks would have made the earlier, closer field goal opportunities.) -
If granted, UW would then ask Whitman County (Wash.) Superior Court to grant a motion to dismiss the lawsuit. Washington pushes to dismiss WSU, OSU lawsuit vs. Pac-12 THEATHLETIC.COM The outgoing Pac-12 schools have also entered into a mediation process with Wazzu and Oregon State scheduled through October.

Future Non-Conference Games in the Big-Ten?

Alabama is like a firefly. It won't fly over the Rockies.
