  1. Let's see. The PAC-12 already has night games, sometimes as many as 4 on a Saturday night. Most fans attending the games (and some of us watching at home) don't like them--I hate them. I will watch Duck games that are on at night, but not any other games. The day before Thanksgiving at 5 pm? Uh, no. Believe it or not, a lot of people are still preparing for Thanksgiving the day before. The day before Labor Day? I might watch then, but I like to spend Labor Day weekend at home--not sure those going camping, to the beach, mountains, etc. are looking to watch a football game. While I would be fine with a 9 am game, since I live in Eugene and am an early bird, I certainly understand why it would not be a good time for most fans attending the game.
  2. Make the pants white and silver too and put a green stripe on the pants, a good look for an away game.
  3. "Run the damn ball." Didn't one of the Duck players say that during the second half of that Alamo Bowl where we blew the 31 point lead? But the Ducks kept trying to pass, going 3-and-out, not running much time off the clock, and giving the ball right back to TCU.
  4. 1 jacket 1 mug 3 rings 2 necklaces 3 pairs socks 2 sweatshirts 8 (?) T-shirts 5 decals on car 2 Duck flags on car
  5. I'm not a betting person, but it's fun to read the odds. Best Values in BetOnline.Ag's College Football Conference Title Odds for 2022 - AthlonSports.com | Expert Predictions, Picks, and Previews ATHLONSPORTS.COM Examining the best values and bets to make among BetOnline.Ag's college football conference title odds for 2022.
  6. I'm not a fan of the black uniforms for Duck teams. Replace the black with a really, really dark green, at least.
  7. Thanks, 30Duck! Just like mine, except mine was a cream color with tan and brown interior--and mats that matched, instead of tire-tread black so many mats are now.
  8. No picture, but I really loved my 1985 Nissan Stanza sedan. A sweet little car, smooth driving, big enough for 5 comfortably, but easy to park. Traded it in after 20 years and about 69,000 miles only because I wanted side airbags and anti-lock brakes.
  9. And I think this happened before there was ever a portal. As I remember, players met with coaches at the end of the season and some undoubtedly were told, however directly or indirectly, that they probably would not get a lot of playing time, and some transferred and some chose to stay and keep their scholarships and graduate.
  10. I wish Travis well in everything except any game he might play in against the Ducks.
  11. Brenner is suing for the $125 million for both punitive damages and pain & suffering, after suffering the potentially fatal rhabdomylosis and being hospitalized 3 days for it. His life may be shortened by 10 years. Not sure how much of the $125 million is related to any potential NFL pay and how much is related to quality of life. I guess I'm personalizing this way too much, but if Doug Brenner was my son, I'd be in that courtroom every minute of every day of the trial hoping he wins the case and gets a good settlement.
  12. Johnny Johnson has signed with Houston Texans, and George Moore signed with Green Bay Packers. Congrats to both, but especially GM--he hung in there for a long time!
  13. Um, but a few Ducks (Brown, Verdell, Williams, McKinley) have signed with teams via free agency--and isn't that considered better than being drafted in the later rounds? At least, that's how I understand it. Maybe a couple of others will sign in the next few days?
  14. Oftentimes, such as in this case, quotes are made to look as if a person just declared something, when actually they were responding to someone else's comment.
  15. That's what happens in a section awash in alcohol fumes and drifting smoke.
  16. I had copied from an email I sent to a friend, and when I pasted it in, the font stayed the same. So I left it that way.
  17. I hope there will be 50,000 there, but in the past I don't think there's been anything close to that. BTW, I saw in a Duck email that there will be free bus shuttles to the Spring Game tomorrow from VRC. That was the first and only time I heard about the buses. Have not heard about them on TV or radio or seen anything on twitter. I hope enough people have heard about the shuttles to make it worthwhile.
  18. Yes, but as I remember, Brenner and Lockie had not practiced with each other at all before that game. I guess no one ever thought they might need that combination in a game.
  19. Lanning does have head-coaching experience. Not in football, but he once led what he said was a “damn good” third grade basketball team.
  20. I know I'm sounding like a broken record (and a Mom) when responding to anyone talking about going on/near the water here for any reason, but wear a life jacket! And welcome in advance to Oregon, Eugene, and Autzen!
  21. Since the 100 million part is directed only toward the NCAA, it will be interesting to see how much of that is awarded, if there is a guilty verdict. The players affected are still young, so they have a lot of years to be negatively affected by having to deal with the effects of rhabdomyolysis, and, of course, their lives might also be shortened because of it. Though the movie The Verdict dealt with a totally different health issue, what sticks in my mind is the jury asking if they could award more money that what was being asked for.
