  1. Mizzou has one of the best RB’s in the nation in Cody Schrader. He spent his first 3 years at Truman State. Sometimes guys take a few years to develop.
  2. The rumor is they’re going after Belichik when the season ends.
  3. He was an Air-Raid QB in high school which is why he did so well in Leach’s offense. This year, Arnett tried to switch to a more conventional system and Rogers did not play well. DeBoer’s system isn’t the Air-Raid, but it is pass heavy, so Rogers should do well. His stats indicate that the more he throws, the more accurate he is. This could be due to all of the short throws in the Air-Raid.
  4. FYI, that’s Trikweze Bridges in the photo running off the field with Bo. Franklin will probably go in the 2nd round which is a tremendous value for a team. However, if he runs 4.3 or better at the combine it could bump him up to the 1st round. He doesn’t get enough credit for his speed. Compare film with him and the rest of his WR competition. He is the only one who was consistently behind the defenders. I looked up 40 times and he’s definitely the fastest WR on the AP All-American teams.
  5. I find it hard to believe that Venables was their second choice. Then again, he was not in good standing after ditching OU for Clemson. Who could blame him? He was forced to share his job with Mike Stoops after he got canned by Arizona.
  6. Teams may not value his arm strength. He might not be able to make all of the throws. They might think he locks into his primary receiver too much or doesn’t read through his progressions very well. They may think he does fine when he has all day to throw behind an elite OL, but he freaks out under pressure like he did at Auburn. They will definitely do their due diligence. Value wise, he’s probably a 3rd rounder. However, there is always the possibility of somebody valuing him a round earlier or a round later. A drop to day 3 might seem unlikely, but it wouldn’t surprise me.
  7. They had Verone McKinley as a mid to late rounder. He went undrafted. Bo could easily slide with a bad combine performance.
  8. It depends on his workouts and combine performance along with the needs of the teams. I think he’s a 2nd to 5th rounder.
  9. I agree with you about Mark Campbell. He married into women’s basketball coaching royalty. His father in-law, Brad Smith, is in the WBB HOF for the career he had at Oregon City HS. Hopefully, Campbell’s wife gets homesick around the time Graves leaves Oregon. I have a feeling he could be the next great one if he’s coaching the right program.
  10. You might want to hold off on the Ward playoff predictions. He is taking an official visit to The U this week and there is a decent likelihood that Mario could sign him.
  11. Ducks still have a good 4-deep RB stable. I don’t see much of a drop off, if any.
  12. I think Charles said it before. If somebody is going to be great then their greatness shows early.
  13. I don’t know if this is a good idea. He seems like a mid to late round pick. Khyree Jackson sends message to Oregon fans about NFL Draft SATURDAYOUTWEST.COM Khyree Jackson sent a message to Oregon fans on Friday afternoon about his plans for the NFL Draft and the 2024 season.
  14. I’m sure Mario will take a run at him. I would also expect DeBoer to consider him.
  15. No doubt Mario uses this as a recruiting tool. He’s probably still touting Penei’s Outland Trophy. He recruited JPJ, but the current coaching staff got him into this position. This is his first year starting on the OL.
  16. Rodrick Pleasant emerged late in the year and got some meaningful playing time. I’m excited to see him play more.
  17. Awards that are voted on by opposing coaches always mean more. It shows the impact that the player had on them. When I think of Tostitos I think of the delicious homemade nachos I like to make. When I think of VRBO I think of getting royally screwed on extra fees for vacation rentals.
  18. Of Course, the Fusky fans are all up in arms about Penix, but he disappeared for a few games. Besides, I don’t recall ever seeing Darron Thomas on the first team and he won two PAC-10/12 championships. Andrew Luck was 0-2 against DT, but was always selected as 1st team QB. 2023 Pac-12 Football Performance Awards, presented by Nextiva, and All-Conference honors announced PAC-12.COM Offensive Player of the Year, presented by Nextiva: Bo Nix, Oregon Pat Tillman Defensive Player of the Year: Laiatu Latu, UCLA Freshman Offensive Player of the Year, presented by...
  19. I watched my favorite MLB team (Rangers) win their first ever World Series this year and it was awesome. Especially knocking off our arrogant, cheating rivals in the ALCS. I had started following them when I first moved to Dallas in the mid 80’s and they were pretty awful. Like Oregon, they slowly got better. They eventually got to the point where they were one strike away from the 2011 WS championship only to have the rug pulled out from under them. It always feels good when you’ve watched them through the hard times and they finally reach the top of the mountain. It was a great moment. I bought the shirt and hat and watched the parade on TV…and then it was over. I was on to other things. The elation of winning lasts no longer than the sorrow of losing. Life goes on. However, be glad that your team gave you a reason to be sad. If you’re only feeling is apathy when they lose then it’s very likely that they stink.
  20. You can bet that if they lose to Liberty the USC fans are going to return the favor for our Tulane trash talk last year.
  21. FSU/UGA has officially been announced for the Orange Bowl.
  22. UGA has maintained a pretty solid standard when it comes to recruiting, player development and on-field play. I would like to see if Oregon’s recruiting, player development and on-field play has improved since September of 2022. Maybe we only lose by 3 scores instead of 6. Both teams will have big name opt outs and transfers, so it might be fun to see. Unfortunately, most sites are predicting Oregon/Bama in the Fiesta Bowl. I think Bama is playing the best football in the nation right now, so it might not go well. Especially with no Dorlus, Burch, etc.
