That performance moved U$C UP one spot to number 6 in the AP poll. Utah at 12, Oregon 13, UW 15.

I really hope their date with U$C is televised. Not sure the Trojans can stop them and the Cougars are feisty enough to cause problems with their defense.

Being on record stating Oregon could make better use of the transfer portal than Mr. Cota I must offer up a mea culpa. Seven big receptions today for 84 yards. Not flashy but quietly efficient. I'm glad he is a Duck!

And they missed w well executed offense.

Disagree that we need a strong U$C to make the playoffs. Oregon needs to continue building on the strong performance of last week. Ten more wins, including the conference championship game, will have them in the middle of the playoff discussion. Continuing to show improvement and dominance week to week is important. It isn't how you start, it's how you finish. Until then, go (insert mascot of U$C opponent).

George Kliavkoff Opens Up: 'UCLA Will Lose Money'
McDuck replied to Charles Fischer's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
According to the link below Michigan has an average travel distance of 400 miles within the B1G. The longest distance between schools (Nebraska to Rutgers) is 1,200 miles, which happens to be the same as the distance between LA and closest B1G school in Lincoln, NE. All other trips are farther. Team travel distances for the proposed divisions MGOBLOG.COM This is my first diary, so here goes nothing. As you all know, the new divisional alignment in the Big Ten will depend mainly on the following two factors: geography, and competitive balance. This... -
I remember rumors that Prentice Gill took an Oregon playbook with him when he hired on at ASU. That was not a clean operation.

George Kliavkoff Opens Up: 'UCLA Will Lose Money'

Kliavkoff spells out the reasoning near the bottom of page two of a letter the Pac-12 office sent to the California Board of Regents. Read the Pac-12 Letter to the University of California Regents - The New York Times WWW.NYTIMES.COM Letter from the commissioner of the Pac-12 Conference to the University of California Board of Regents, objecting to a move by U.C.L.A. to go to the Big Ten Conference. -
Medical retirement at 'Bama. Grad transfer with five career tackles in a total of four games played.

Why the love for Bryan Harsin? With the exception of Chris Petersen the recent track record of former Boise State coaches is dismal. Dan Hawkins was fired by Colorado, Dirk Koetter was fired by ASU, Bryan Harsin is about to be fired by Auburn. I know ASU is a dumpster fire but I don't see a potential Harsin hiring as anything but adding gasoline.

Recruit Along with Family Leaves Game at Halftime
McDuck replied to DuckIt's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Despicable as it was it doesn't appear to be a huge number of fans nor did it last a long time. On the other hand why would Utah governor Spencer Cox amplify the disgusting incident? -
Worthy? Bo Nix Wins FOUR Player-of-the-Week Awards!

Wonder if the Auburn boards have seen this. I remember some of them being fairly snarky regarding our Mr. Nix. -

George Kliavkoff Opens Up: 'UCLA Will Lose Money'
McDuck replied to Charles Fischer's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
The fact Oregon is between presidents at the moment leaves me skeptical. A report of Oregon adding hockey and building a new arena leaves me laughing. -
This is a job where I could see Urban Meyer being interested. Arizona has a number of quality recruits and California and Texas are close. Not the strictest academics and we know the Athletic Dept doesn't have rigorous standards for NCAA rule compliance. I'm sure they have plenty of NIL money available. Lots of eye candy. I won't be the least bit surprised if UM is a serious candidate.
-
Not worth $95 million over ten years?
-
Urban Meyer is an analyst for Fox Sports. Oklahoma visits Lincoln for a game Saturday covered by (drum roll please) Fox Sports. I'll take a guess Mr. Meyer is working the game. If so wouldn't it be logical he would interview the AD?
-
The coaching staff apparently agrees as he is listed as a wide receiver this year.
-
In one of his early columns he implied he grew up an OSU fan, the first college game he attended was a Beaver win over UCLA. Who cares if he takes a dig or two at the Ducks? Are we that thin skinned? He is a columnist, paid to write an opinion, not a reporter who should be neutral.
-
Petersen reportedly has a net worth north of $10 million and turns 60 next year. In other words he is financially secure. He doesn't want to return to coaching. If he did he would be on his second stint as HC at Washington as it would be total incomitance if the AD didn't inquire after firing Jimmy Lake. I'm fairly certain Oregon would have asked also. Sorry, don't see him at Nebraska.
-
Hasn't Petersen made it abundantly clear he has no interest in a return to coaching? He is or was deeply involved in the Washington NIL program and I thought he also worked in some capacity for the athletic department. He is a West Coast guy with the last 30 years in the PNW. Obviously he is financially secure. Why would he even consider leaving Seattle for Lincoln, NE?
